You have a very large amount of water to drain from the area. The forest will love you for letting their roots breath. The beaver, probably not so much. Must have been a very large area being flooded.
I love the work you do. Very interesting. These beavers do have to go. While I love beaver, especially bald beaver, they can be very destructive to a man's way of life. 🤣🤣🤣
The sound of the water was so relaxing that I wanted to fall asleep. What a gorgeous forest with all the beautiful colors of Autumn. That's also my youngest grand daughter's name. She's 1.
That was extraordinary, so large and dèep, with an even larger and deeper one behind drowning this part of the beautiful forest. Hopefully, the plants may recover, and the other animals can return. Great work.
A lot of work went into tearing that dam open. I wonder how many people really realize how much work and time went into to cutting that drain channel into that dam. Great work. Just remember to stay safe out there while working by yourself.
I love that when you send all the debris through the opening you've made it creates that awesome white water effect! Which also means that you are giving the old stagnant water healthy oxygen by aerating it! Great job and thanks again for helping me to relax....😁🌿🥱 🪵🍃
I think it must be the biggest dam you have ever been demolished until today! And what a beautiful scenery!? Beautiful weather and colors! I hope you’ll get rid of the dam and the others in the forest! Looking forward to the updates from that spot! ❤️💪🏋️♀️
It is great that people are seeking you out to help with their beaver dam issues. I think putting a pipe is a good idea but alas not a permanent solution. Only taking out the whole dam all the way down to its foundation will cause the beaver to go somewhere else. And yes I know that would take an excavator. You have helped the farmers in your area enormously. Your good deeds will last you for years!
Good for you brother. Glad people are asking you to help. Word of mouth is great. Awesome amount of water in that dam you are releasing. Keep up the great work.
Beavers r good and beavers create a world full of water. Learn how to live with them not against them this land was full of beavers long ago an they should be able to make there homes where they want. consider a beaver on your property a blessing. Not problem water storage. Glad ur willing to help others. Yes trap not kill
Beavers are returning our eco systems. Is there not a conservation organisation that you could have collaboratedso you and the beavers can live in harmony together?
That flat farm field is ONLY there because it was created by beavers. Leave the dam and 30 years from now the farmers fields could be enlarged by the total area of the pond. All beaver dams silt up and infill the river bed to make more flat fields. During their time of pond and water they support birds and fish to hunt.
I’ve been😂 watching and subscribed to your channel for some time. I really enjoy it. Maybe I missed it but I was wondering, is this your job, hobby, and or a side business? Just curious. Thanks
For a job like this, might I suggest a grappling hook and either a winch (maybe electric) or a block and tackle tied to a tree. A remarkably handy combination.
Has his PVC pipe method had success there. I only ask because I've seen several creators talk about how it is a massive fail here in the United States. I do know that at one time it was tried by the DOT which stands for the department of transportation. And it was a fail that the beaver stopped the pipes up. So I'm interested to see the outcome of this and how well it works there. I am excited to see if it works there !
@@Dusk1962 in all actuality the beavers usually clog the mesh with mud. As they did with his as well. And for your information I was really hoping this method work for him. And I'll have you know he unclog the mud and is still using. As I know of from his updated video on the subject. I do hope it continues to work
If the Beavers are doing this for their home and flooding the forest, they would know by now too much water is not good for the trees, in that case, why wouldn't they destroy the older dams and give trees a break and build a new dam somewhere else. From an evolutionary point of view, wouldn't having a healthy forest aids their survival? In other words, where do we come in? when we destroy beaver dams, how does it affect their survival? Thanks
A dambuster's work is never done! But I think the beavers are going to plug your pipe again and again unless they are removed from the area. Hope you are successful in trying it.
If the people of Lithuania aren't grateful for your efforts, the farmers and ranchers around there aught to shake your hand and see to your family eagerly.
33:26 YOu can see tow beaver holes one located almost in the middle and one on far right end. They're both probably conencted to the one den sinde below the ground. There must be somwhere also air vent in that thick grass so they can have fresh air in the den while both holes are submerged in the water.
@@retired0307 Not likely. We have the same color water coming in off of the Everglades. But we also have clear water canals as our rock both changes the ph of the water and filters it.
Yes, the black water comes from the tannins as the water filters through the soil, the peat, decaying leaf and plant matter. Especially from hardwood trees. We have the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge here in Delaware
Why don't you have a piece of machinery to remove the dam? Beavers will have the breach repaired quickly. A tractor would make for a more exciting video!

@Kenislovas I won't argue, but Gardens are not natural parts of the ecosystem. Flooding is part of the life of a natural forest and they cope fine. If it is an artificial forest, then they need to plant further away. This will also reduce the amount of siltation reaching the water course.

Hello. There are going to be some "Angry Beavers" after demolishing that huge dam.
Again, good job. Beautiful area and so satisfying.

Probably going to be on Beavers Most Wanted.....Post 10 probably #1, tho. 😁🤣

In the U.S. we call using a pipe in the dam, a "beaver deceiver". A 4 to 5 inch pipe is the best. Keep up the good work!

Impressive now property owners are now contacting you. Great job!!
Great video again and you pronounced’canal ‘ perfectly 😊
Need to make the opening bigger so it takes longer for them to build back!
This dam still not rebuilt until now :)
Looks like more than one beaver built 😊
Great work 👍 I like how that pitchfork works better than the Potato rakes Cultivator rakes others use.👍
Thanks!
Thank You!!

That was a solid well built dam, well done for making that deep cut, 👍👍

Still confused why Post 10 and others use a rake when a spade or garden fork seems better suited to this kind of work.
Sempre belle lee tue scelte. Dighe impegnative e pericolose
Job well done on the 1st one
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. Recognizing the forest needs help is a good eye.
Do you think the beavers will fill your PVC pipe with mud if you don't cage it in some way?
I’ve been😂 watching and subscribed to your channel for some time. I really enjoy it. Maybe I missed it but I was wondering, is this your job, hobby, and or a side business? Just curious. Thanks
Hobby.
Great video! I can hardly wait to see the next episode!
I wonder why they never dig many holes in the dam and concentrate on one large hole?
If you put a drain pipe in the bottom they will plug it too. You have to remain it u til they move
Man that was a huge dam! Good job!
Great job 😊

I'm glad for you they asked you to take care of this! By word of mouth you might get some more requests! Very good video!!!!!
Great job but man you make me dizzy with your camera moving so fast
That was a great one!! Good job.

That is very wide! make sure you have a escape plan!
Beavers are incredible eco engineers that create important eco systems. This is so sad.
So relaxing.. thank you
Black from all the beautiful rich soil.
That is like the typical beaver dam here in Canada. Big pond for the lodge or lodges if the kids and parents live in the same pond.
Great work. ? @ 31:00 that row of stumps. Confused with how that happened. Thanks for your help.
good job draining a lot of flooded forest, keep safe..
Wonderful!! I especially loved the "After" view of the drained area!
Can't wait to see more!
holy shit batman!
great job !
Оце,дамбочка.
how about putting just a few drops of dish detergent in the water? The beavers will leave because detergent will destroy the oils in their fur!
This is a super job save the Forest because trees die with so much water!!
Great job my friend! Well done.

Not everyone sees it as failure because they put mesh wiring over PVC pipe.

You, having the ability to hunt at your discretion, would make a lot better sense for bigger control concepts.
Can I ask what part of the world are you in, I also watch a channel called post 10 he does the same in the US
Lithuania;)

That's a lot of work, good job. Show us a beaver sometime. Maybe a pair of boots you made.

Good job man
they wil stop that back up in a week
Keep 'em coming!
Its mindblowing how much damage one beaver can do to a forest.

I have wondered if the downstream areas are ready for your releases from the dams...
Yes. Rainy season is much worse.
Them beavers are going to patch that back up as soon as he leaves 🤷🏽
😲😎👍👍👍👍

I think the dark water is tannins- AKA falvic or humic acid. from decaying vegetation. makes a nice reflection pool.
Will it clear up eventually?

Where is your hand saw?
Post 10: European version! LOL
Where is this located?
Lithuania :)
That's no dam, that is a damned wet rodent construction project led by beavers...DANG!
Well said :)
I wonder if the Beavers had a construction permit from the government? 😉
Why don't you have a piece of machinery to remove the dam?
Beavers will have the breach repaired quickly. A tractor would make for a more exciting video!
It's cost a lot of money.
Did you not take your saw to this one
I didn't have it at that time :)
Leave the Beavers alone.
What a mess
That one looked nasty. You seem to be getting more views!
Huge dam!

Might be true ;)
@@Kenislovas Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. What you do is a kindness to many people around you. I salute your perspective.
Why? They belong there and do more good for the environment than you do by destroying their dams.
This dam made a flood in forest, and the water was in the garden already.

Had the little one come yet? It should be close to you being a papa...if we lose you for a while with the baby its understandable! Best wishes!!!
I have to wonder if anyone's ever used a fire pump/hose to do this?
One inch fire hose under full pressure would just cut through the Beaver Dam
