Hello! Order was placed on June 4th, and shipped out on June 23rd, arriving three days later on the 26th. The actually shipment was surprisingly fast. Even the time to create the cover felt pretty quick all things considering.
Love your videos, Alicia. You’re such a delight and the insight you bring is perfect. You just bring an original sense of calmness and artistic vibe to this community and I’m grateful for your contributions. TYFS 😊
Oh so nice 👍🏻 I love natural leather too. I like watching it patina and colour and get used. 😄 I'll overlook the use of a 'normal' type pen though on this one occasion 😆
This cover is so lovely! I kind of wish I had thought to ask him if he could make me a cover to fit my 5-year Hobonichi. The struggle to find one that I liked and fit was real. I would be so tempted by the Olive green or orange brown, but like you, my curiosity always goes for the natural option. I love the idea of investing in the long game of undyed leathers. 🥲 Thsnk you, as always, for sharing your treasures! 🥰
Very appealing, Alicia, and among the things I admire is the way you always credit others, and you always express gratitude. Gratitude is so important, and something so under-expressed/valued.
You REALLY made me want to try the B6 slim size now! 😅 I'm enjoying the A5 MD notebook as my journal atm BUT 1st: It's a little too large too carry when I'm carrying a smaller purse with me PLUS (it's actually unbelievable) I've NEVER finished a SINGLE journal! 😮 I love to try out all kind of different sizes and I all use them 🙈 But EVENTUALLY it would be a good plan to stick to a smaller size / thinner notebooks for a while to finally start finishing my journals 😅🫢 Your ELG is GORGEOUS! 🧡 I got one as well and I'll probably never forget the moment when it arrived and I've felt this amazing, high quality, beautiful natural leather the first time 🥰 I'm SO temped to order a B6 slim from him now with a matching MD notebook 🤪 (love how you've decorated the covers 🥰) but no... I haven't even finished setting up my regular sized ELG 😅🙈 It took me SO long to find a shop that cut down an A5 Stalogy to regular size for me that fits so well in the back pocket ❤ I guess when I'm completely done setting it up and finished my first journal I'm EVENTUALLY gifting myself with a B6 slim "Duo" ❤ I'm really enjoying watching your videos btw! I like that your journaling "style" isn't all about decorating & it's just very interesting to listening to you! 🥰
I'm happy for you. Looks great. I love the Midori too. I have several, but I really like using their drawing paper for my oil pastels, and ink drawings. I only regret that the leather covers are harder to come by. I don't prefer to order stuff like that online, I prefer to see in store, before I buy. I agree that building relationships when purchasing things we are passionate about are important, how they treat you, they're understanding you, etc. but I think the fact I can't get covers in store saves my piggy bank. LOL
Love this Alicia. The cover is gorgeous. Q: Can you please demonstrate how you cover your insert books and what adhesive you used? Thank you in advance 🙏♥
Oooh man! That was the first thing I thought as well; that leather is going to patina so beautifully! I had never heard of the brand. It's sometimes a bit surprising that there is still always so much more journaling things out there that I have never heard of.. 😂
Mannn I love how you decorated/created your Midori covers. Definitely inspiring. Also, my wife will be receiving a uniball one p as a gift, thanks to you lol. Been watching your vids for years and just realized I’m not even subscribed…my bad for that 😬 Gotta say, your whole style and aesthetic is very cute. I haven’t seen you wear a bad outfit or display poor taste, ever. You seem like a very pure soul and I appreciate your content. Thanks for sharing 🧡🫡
I'd love to hear your opinion on cork leather! I've been daily-driving a couple of pocket notebook covers for over a year, and they hold up as well as I could ever hope. Bonuses are being animal-friendly and plastic-free, unlike some other leather substitutes.
Hello! I’ve had few interactions with the cork leather. It’s not something I particularly gravitate to, the weight of it and stiffness doesn’t appeal as much. But, it’s really great to have a non leather option that isn’t plastic based, like you already said!
That is such a cute little cover! And a cute little pen. But I just got that teal jet stream multipen after seeing it on your instagram. I don't need another one yet.
Yoseka Stationery, Jetpens, and Goulet Pens to name a few! If you search Midori B6 slim, you’ll find a lot of retailers that sell them. I’m using the grid paper version, but there is also lined and blank paper.
@@adventuredenali Thank you so much, I'm new in the journal world and I have to learn a lot 🙈 Btw I love love love all of your content, you are such a beautiful, kind and sweet soul ❤️
That's really cool. I only journal on typewriter now after my carpal tunnel surgery as my hands cramp very quickly when writing. There's no way I could write with such beautiful, tiny penmanship such as yours. It's a shame because there are some really gorgeous leather journal covers and pens to collect. :(
Do you use fountain pens? They can really reduce cramping if you have carpal tunnel issues, because they require no pressure. Also, the Pilot Dr. Grip is another pen that is good if you experience cramping from writing.
Oh, dear! I hope therapy can help unlock your handwriting! As Mr. Porter notes, it is true that fountain pens require less pressure for writing -- and maybe a girthier one would help. The Jinhao x159 is a very inexpensive way to find out. .... Of course, you haven't actually said that it is a problem to type your journal, have you? Oh, well, for what it's worth!
So was the goat leather not so great after all? I want to like it but I just prefer cow hide 🤷🏽♂️ Oh also, do you have an opinion on the Sterling Ink stuff? I don’t think I’ve seen you mention it and I’m curious what you think? (You seem to have a good sense for these things)
I think the goat leather is beautiful, soft and minimal. I think for someone as rough as I am on things, it doesn’t feel as substantial. Also, I’ve yet to try any Sterling Ink goods!
Unsharpen, don't know if you watch that channel, reviewed the Uni-ball One P just a few weeks back. I guess the universe is telling me I need one too. 😉
How long did it take to ship from Hong Kong?

@@adventuredenali Thank you, that is really quick considering the distance.
Thank you for the purchase and taking the time to make this video. I'm glad you're liking the cover. I love the vibe of your channel!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. 😊

Its nice to have beautiful things!
It is!

Love Eternal Leather! My favorite is the blue, which is actually a lovely teal green. I like your idea of decorating and labeling your journals.
Oh a really green? That sounds so beautiful !
Be careful Alicia, those Uniball pens are a dangerous rabbit hole. I had one about a month ago and now I have all the colors...
Hahaha oh no! 😂
Fantastic. Best regards from Spain.
Gorgeous! You should knit a cozy for it.
Oh gosh, how cute that would be!!!

Aww thank you! I appreciate that appreciation, haha!
And I agree, expressing gratitude is so value, and so often over looked.
This channel is a jewel !
Aww thank you

Love the fabric covering idea…May have to try it too! TYFS
I love these covers. I have that shade in A6 and the Olive green in weeks. Love them!
They’re so beautiful!
What beautiful cover!
Omg you got the pen!! Don’t you just love it!! Im obsessed! I have it in grape 0.5 and I believe the other colors like a light blue in 0.38 mm.
It’s sooo great!!!
I can't wait to see how your cover patinas over time. I ordered a B6 slim cover in the olive green from Eternal Leather Goods.
Lovely! Inspiring to see that you're continuing to cover your journals for archiving. I'll check back with your videos when I fill my current Midori.
Thank you! Happy writing!
It's so beautiful! I love that they included this size on their site. I'm so tempted to get one in olive.
Gosh me too! Haha!

That lil chonky pen
WELL good luck. I started with the eternal leather natural THEN the olive. Now I want another one😂❤
Hahahah! Oh no! 😂
From what I see, being able to get one of those leather covers is like winning the jackpot. I suppose they are very expensive.😮
I just wanted to say I love your content so much. We have really similar taste and I think I'm going to have to nab one of those uni-ball one pens!
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the little pen! They’re so cute.

Hi. Can he make an A5 size for my cosmo air light notebook? Thanks for your review!!
I wouldn’t know! You’d have to check in with him, or check out his website (link in the description).
Pleaseeee can you tell me where I can find the journals that you use and show in this video????

Hello! I have a video about covering the journals if you want to check that out.

Midori B6 Slim, grid paper
