I'm American, and I agree with Lars' sentiment that somehow cyclocross is being "watered down" by trying to cater to the U.S. market. Cyclocross is inherently European and something is lost when races are held in non-traditional areas. I want to see the best riders in the world riding the traditionally toughest courses, and that isn't going to happen in the U.S. The Las Vegas course in particular is a joke...barely worthy of a regional race much less a World Cup!
