Two things. Whenever I hear a conversation in another language, it's always interesting to hear how English has a way of "intruding" into the conversation. That having been said, I first heard of Shiraz Lane in early 2020. They were the last concert I saw (at Backstage in Munich) before the world shut down. I was kind of gobsmacked by them. I didn't know anything about them going into the concert...but came out feeling that I had been transported back to Los Angeles in the 1980's. They definitely had a 1980's kind of vibe...and I totally dug it. And to Hannes' point, it'd be cool if they were to tour in the US next year...but, by the same token, there's nothing saying that I can't make another trip to Europe to see them again. It'd definitely be cool.
Yup, English is intruding into all languages nowadays. In this one particularly because of our language barrier as Hannes' mother language is actually Swedish. 😊
There's definitely something very originally vintage in Hannes' sound. They are an interesting young band for sure. Hope they'll come to US soon and if not, welcome to Europe for some great gigs Jason! xx

I watched the interview, even though I had never heard of 'Shiraz Lane'. What a nice and likeable guy. Lots of hippy vibes, but very charming. I had to give their new album a listen. I heard some nice melodies and good riffs. His voice though; it took me right back to the 80s and the hair metal bands. Especially Sebastian Bach came to mind. I enjoyed listening to the album, I especially liked the title song 'Forgotten Shades Of Life'.
Hannes is such a sweetie isn't he!❤ Melodies and riffs are definitely their strong point. I totally agree with your comment on Hannes' sound!

@@annavaskelainen Again, like at Tuska your way of interviewing is excellent in my opinion. Being able to "lead" to the issues you have in mind without putting yourself in center helps your guest to open up, make his points and obviously make him feel good throughout the interview. I would love you to analyse "Oathbreaker - Being Able to Feel Nothing | Audiotree Live" the singer Caro Tanghe has one of the most haunting voices I heard. That song in particular has so much sadness in the vocals it's amazing.

Ha, ha. Talk was flying at sonic speed. Hard to keep up with the sub-titles!!! Their 'Scream' song had average music but really liked the vocals.

Eipä ollu Shiraz Lane aiemmin tuttu. Kokeilin kuunnella muutamaa kappaletta, ei oikein iskeny omaan makuun, mutta Hannes vaikutti oikein mukavalta hepulta. Ja Annaa on aina yhtä mukava kuunnella oli aihe mitä hyvänsä.
