Somebody to correct me if i am wrong.The mooring gang on the stern are quite a landlubbers......Instead of giving the first line from the starboard side they should give first line from port side since the wind was blowing from the port side.Come on guys basic things.''From a Captain who have sail all around''
It appears from the way they docked that they were leaving as much as possible clearance on their port side, so they were favoring getting as close on starboard as they could.

Normally you are correct, but I think the idea was to leave as much room on the Port side for another boat.
