It's so nice to see people loving architecture and it's art. I have been blinded now and can't enjoy this things anymore, I can see younger self in your reations and feelings, and it brings me joy
I was fortunate to visit Barcelona about 2003 and fell in love with Gaudi's architecture. You have introduced me to Sagnier's architure and have added him to my list of favorites! I agree with you that your lovely house was most likely one of his creations.
Your passion for modernist architecture is infectious! You’ve done a wonderful job on this video. Good luck on your journey to discover the identity of your architect 🤩
There’s so much beauty in Spain, especially in the architecture it’s just like walking through a Museum when you are walking down a street. I think you’re absolutely right about the architecture of your home. Such in-depth research on your part has paid off and all your findings point directly to Saignier. Wow how gratifying that must be. Thank you once again for a great video.💞
For anyone like myself who loves architecture this was a dream to visit Barcelona with you on a rather dreamy day in Northumberland, seeing the light upon such beautiful buildings and such a wonderful introduction and explanation ! This has been Wonderful x truly wonderful Thankyou both so much x Josie
The leaves are identical at that first building. Flowing leaves are actually one of my favorite art elements I put into my own work. I get this feeling that the architect had a great appreciation for nature, as do I. It's incredible to see so many beautiful locations all over Europe while watching various vloggers. The interiors of the mansion also have so many romantic floral elements. I'm sad about the buildings that are gone, but there are still so many beautiful ones left. I'm so happy creators have come to rescue the MMM.
This mystery reminds me of my family genealogy studies going back 20 + years ago, its so exciting to discover how either a building, style, or person is related to your own.
This is so wonderful to see you! I love your house and your yt channel. And I think you made a good decision by lowering the frequency of the videos, because this is time for you to enjoy. You made a WONDERFUL job by making your wonderful mansion be restaured, and that must have been very stressing. But restauration continues, and you may show us this from time to time. We love your energy, we love seeing about your days at your mansion, but we also want to see you two enjoying. You two are part of a wonderful family which still has so much more to enjoy within that lovely home. Thanks for sharing part of it with us!
Loved this. The two of you presenting together is amazing! I loved the architecture and seeing Barcelona. I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days in Barcelona last year. Incredible architecture. Gaudi was an amazing architect (truly unique and quant) and very memorable. Thank you for sharing this. What a lovely feeling you must have to be able to associate your architect with your house :)
I love that you have done all the research and yes, it certainly appears that you have found the architect of your beautiful house. I do watch your videos and I enjoy them however, it frustrates me when you type something on the picture and it doesn’t show long enough for me to be able to read it. the wording about the cooling system up on the top of the house was amazing but I had to rewind the video three times to read it. Love your work, and I wish you continued success.❤
I'd like to suggest that you have clip on mics so you can improve your sound. Your content is so interesting, but the sound quality is in great need of fine tuning. I imagine you can notice this when you are editing. Also, you need to find out how to make the volume uniform in each scene, including the music. I check in every once in a while to see if it has improved, but alas, still not. I think you could increase your number of subscribers if you can fine tune the sound quality..
Ok, so architecture is not high on my list of favourite things. Having said that, the more I watch this channel, the more I find it interesting. This was fascinating.
That was fascinating the awesome buildings and peaking into every astounding entry way. Looks as though your Architect has been discovered. Thanks for the breathtaking tour and all the memories.
What a delight! I would love the video to linger more on some of the old photos. Your voice over can still continue behind the visuals. Maybe being a senior, I can't grasp so quickly the transposed images - photo-you-photo. Slow it down for us oldies please. This tour of such precious architecture in one of my favourite cities was a true treat! Thank you.
Love this video, but too fast paced for so much information. I barely was able to notice what it was you were commenting on when you went to next shot. Please SLOW DOWN! There's so much beauty to take in.
I LOVE this video and all the research, but I plead with you to include longer shots in future videos, esp of the architectural details you've invited us to consider closely. But in general, longer shots or images (3 seconds or greater) are what the human brain can process best. Even when you have a lot of material to get through or share, don't shorten your videos to fit into some preconceived "ideal length." We are not bored, we will not become bored (and when you are a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult, you've perhaps spent a lot of time feeling like you should take up as little space and time as possible, because your brain didn't "jive" with others' brains.) I'm only 1/3 of the way through this one so far, I'm excited for the discoveries, but have already encountered these too-short shots or images 5-6 times. Looking forward to the rest of the video!
Thank you enormously for this feedback. I completely agree with you!! When I’m in edit mode I am worried I’m going to lose you if I don’t keep up the pace yet when I watched it live, I felt the very same need, go easy on the speed of shot and allow for the moments of no speaking. You have a good eye - often the shots are in fact 4-6 seconds but… as they’re moving, they seem faster. With this movement comes the need to slow it further. Hopefully one day we will have answers and for that episode, I promise to make more lingering shots. Xx
I’m really enjoying your walkabouts and investigation of the origins of your home. Overwhelmed by plant envy at the sight of that restaurant exterior. 😊
Again a gorgeous video, Ollie and Camilla! What a shame for demolishing such beautiful buildings! I got goosebumps when you've said that your house is still standing and you're going to make sure it will stay for generations! We should all be grateful for people like you, Ollie! THANK YOU for preserving history!❤❤❤
Las Ramblas is such a beautiful promenade. I love the architecture there and it’s such a walkable city for exploring. I think you definitely showed your Casa as one of Sagniers! How exciting!!!❤
Wonderful to see you both again. My grandson told me he is doing a study abroad in Alicante. Perfect opportunity to tell him all about you and how beautiful Spain is and I would never have been able to see otherwise.
That Philippines Embassy building is amazing. Philippines was occupied by Spain for about 300 years though. Thank you for touring us through your video.
This was a great video. So interesting to learn about these modernist architects, especially Sagnier, and to see those beautiful Barcelona buildings. Such a shame that some were torn down. Thank you.
This was very interesting. I enjoyed this one, too. I love the architecture and it makes me sad to see those pieces of art replaced by modern builds. The modern builds now are scary. A crane opererator died recently downtown Vancouver. Here, when you drive by most of these buildings and the sun is out, it actually blinds your vision and eyes. Modern is for the modern world, but let the older art builds be preserved. That was lovely. 😊
The architectural sleuthing is both exciting and obviously frustration for you. I hope more information comes to light. I have Ed only scraps of info on my home, designed and built in 1976, so recent!
This was so incredibly informative and interesting! Certainly enjoy being taken along on your travels. Looking forward to seeing how you continue to renovate and repair your home!
Loved this video. You are the best tour guides. I would love to visit Barcelona again, ignoring the tourist hot spots and looking at the beautiful buildings you have opened my eyes to. You are so knowledgeable and full of interesting asides, what a great tour it would be with you two as guides.❤
So interesting. You have completely hooked me on modernist architecture! You are a brilliant team! Can't wait for the next one. I am dying to see your plans for your roof terrace!
Wow, that was so interesting, bit of a sad ending, unfortunately it’s called progress, very pleased to hear your going to look after your building, love the vlog.
He was an amazing architect. It is such a shame that the other buildings were demolished and replaced with buildings of steel and glass. I hate loosing the history. 🙂🇨🇦
Such a beauty. Thank you for researching. Imagine....a whole street like this without any of this modern concrete and glass nonsense. Can't wait to see you crack on with your restauration, hoping you get the authorizations you need as soon as possible. 💖
❤❤ What a fantastic adventure! It must be a delight to discover so much beauty and history and know it's all tied in with your own lovely home. Continued success in all you do. Much love to you both!
I hope you can find who built your wonderful house! I'm a historian, I find there are always more records to find, esp online these days. Still don't know when mine was even built, but one can narrow things down, ask old people in the neighbourhood etc!
You are so right. We’ve had two architects and also myself working very deeply on this. We were extremely lucky that our architect had that critical conversation with the man who was married to the oldest daughter of the original family who owned the house. She herself had already died and he (coincidentally an architect in Barcelona too) sadly passed away after he told our architect about the Sagnier connection which I referred to in the vlog.
I loved this video it was not only entertaining but very informative! Such high quality - I absolutely Barcelona! Could you do a video about Gaudi it would be lovely to hear you discuss his work! P.S. My brother and Nephew have ADHD so it was so interesting to hear your story!
I'll be in Barcelona sometime this year. I cannot wait to see everything on our list. Las Ramblas, I will be walking there and will look out for the buildings. I will watch this video again before I leave and hopefully you folks will find more information on your home.
You personally give a wonderful insight of Spain & it's culture for me. Our great grandfather was Spanish. A dream would be to visit one day. Thank you both. ❤🙏
What a very interesting adventure you are on. It's too bad the builder didn't leave a note in the house - behind a plaster board, or tucked under the floor or stone or wall...something to give you answers. When my father made furniture and renovated homes...he always left his mark..sometimes a signature with date...but sometimes he would write a note and tuck it behind the crown molding and mantle. My neighbor was renovating their house and when the bricks were being replaced, the workers found a picture and a note from one of the original labourers...almost 100yrs ago when the house was being built. Maybe you will have a surprise of your own. Wouldn't that be special.
Thank you. This is your best video so far. You explain everything do well...please make more videos like this. Can you tell us how houses like this are restored, etc Again, thank you.
We miss seeing you both!
Thank you for taking us along! I love this era of architecture. 🙏✨💕
Great seeing you both again. You are an amazing couple.
Thank you!! 😊
It's so nice to see people loving architecture and it's art. I have been blinded now and can't enjoy this things anymore, I can see younger self in your reations and feelings, and it brings me joy
What a poignant story your life must be and thank you enormously for sharing with us the way you still find beauty even if it is difficult to see.
That was so interesting. People forget to look up at buildings there is so much beauty. Thanks for sharing. Xx
So true!
I was fortunate to visit Barcelona about 2003 and fell in love with Gaudi's architecture. You have introduced me to Sagnier's architure and have added him to my list of favorites! I agree with you that your lovely house was most likely one of his creations.
It's smart that you folks gave an announcement a few days ahead of time! So we can plan.
Thanks Lisa, this is very good to know - we will try to repeat this!! Xx
Your passion for modernist architecture is infectious! You’ve done a wonderful job on this video. Good luck on your journey to discover the identity of your architect 🤩
Sure missed you two, loving your gray coming in Ollie, such a lovely tour ,beautiful architecture! Hope to see you again soon!
Can't wait!
Good luck with your search, you seem to have unraveled the mystery. You have a lovely home.❤😊
Thank you! 😊
Lovely to see you both!
So many gems to see in Barcelona if you look up💜
Wonderful I adore the history and buildings xx
We agree!
Great to see you again with such an interesting video
A great bit of detective work! I do love Sagnier's styling.
Welcome back what a lovely and enlightening tour I just love history 😊❤😊
Outstanding discovery .

Fascinating. Always such intelligent, informative and entertaining content. My wife & I love your vlogs. All the best from Melbourne, Aus.
Any episode about architecture is a winner with me! And the architecture in Barcelona is amazing.
This mystery reminds me of my family genealogy studies going back 20 + years ago, its so exciting to discover how either a building, style, or person is related to your own.
You are so right. We hope to one day find evidence one way or another!!

Yes! I believe you found your architect! Great job, ya'll. ~Terri 🇺🇸
Looked like an interesting trip. You have a lovely home. Thanks for sharing your story and home
That was Fascinating..as usual...what beautiful old Architecture.. Thank You.
Absolutely loved the architectural tour. Some much history in your home. Your mansion is magical.
That was fascinating the awesome buildings and peaking into every astounding entry way.
Looks as though your Architect has been discovered. Thanks for the breathtaking tour and all the memories.
Such exciting discoveries! I hope you continue to uncover the roots of your home. It is lovely and deserves to have its architect confirmed. ❤
Very interesting study of the known architect and his possible link to your home. Well done!
So, so nice to see and hear you guys again...!!! I know you have found the architect of your home.

Please please leave the subtitles related to your explanations on long enough to allow us to both read them and look at the associated picture!!!!
Thank you! I promise to make it a bit longer for you next time xx
Yes, they go by a bit too quickly, don't they? I keep having to stop the video and go back. Such gorgeous architecture, though!
I love Barcelona, Thank you for this. So much information that I didn't know. Hopefully, I'll get to visit a f2f win soon. Good to see you back.

Thank you for this delightful tour. You are both so good at this kind of thing. Wonderful music too. Light a delicate, perfect.
One of your very best vlogs. Thank you so much for sharing. It was excellent and very interesting. 🙏🙋🏼♂️

Did other people find the sound was really bad with static??
Yes! I thought it was my phone, but it isn't.
Absolutely enjoyable tour of stunning architecture, thank you!
Magical thank you both 🤗💐🤗
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
What a fun way to research the history of your house … thanks for bringing us along
I love the architecture journey you both share with us all!
The architectural sleuthing is both exciting and obviously frustration for you. I hope more information comes to light. I have Ed only scraps of info on my home, designed and built in 1976, so recent!
Great detective work. So interesting to see your architects other creations in beautiful Barcelona. Your house had a great pedigree!!
Fascinating look into the architecture - thank you for sharing.
It’s so interesting to see all the architecture that resembles your house.
just love the beautiful architecture and buildings - love barcelona thanks to you guys!
This was a nice treat. Xx
This was so incredibly informative and interesting! Certainly enjoy being taken along on your travels. Looking forward to seeing how you continue to renovate and repair your home!
Thank you enormously x

Absolutely fascinating history!! Thank you for sharing!!
Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
He was an amazing architect. It is such a shame that the other buildings were demolished and replaced with buildings of steel and glass. I hate loosing the history. 🙂🇨🇦
This was really interesting. I want to visit Spain so badly! I agree that your home must have been designed by Sagnier! The resemblance is amazing
Such a beauty. Thank you for researching. Imagine....a whole street like this without any of this modern concrete and glass nonsense. Can't wait to see you crack on with your restauration, hoping you get the authorizations you need as soon as possible. 💖
Goodness I so agree with you!!! The scars of humankind erased and the beautiful parts protected and valued. Xx
I highly recommend cycling around the city at night... Empty streets and you can actually see the conversations the streets have with one another
Beautifully written.
Super interesting!! Thank you. Research and storytelling- spot on. It gave me a loving feeling towards the MMM, you've shared that with us.
❤❤ What a fantastic adventure! It must be a delight to discover so much beauty and history and know it's all tied in with your own lovely home. Continued success in all you do. Much love to you both!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Loved that, I would never have any idea about any of this without you two 👍🏻👍🏻
Miss you both 💕

Facinating. I wonder what MMM would look like with green shutters and railings like #96. It could be quite beautiful!
My thoughts exactly ❤️
Beautiful architecture in Barcelona
I loved this video it was not only entertaining but very informative! Such high quality - I absolutely Barcelona! Could you do a video about Gaudi it would be lovely to hear you discuss his work! P.S. My brother and Nephew have ADHD so it was so interesting to hear your story!

You will love it there! Try to make it to the Picasso Museum. I was gobsmacked! Have a wonderful trip!
We hope you love your trip to Barcelona. I’m just heading home on the bus from there now and loving to read your message. Xx
Thank you. We'll have 2 full days there and have to make the best of it by seeing and eating everything we can. lol @@MagicalModernistMansion
That is such wonderful information to have found. How lucky are you!
Very cool Ollie and Camilla. I’ve missed your vlogs but have been keeping up on Patreon.
Thank you so much Linda. Xx
Nice video, interesting search to the architect of your house.
Glad you enjoyed it
You personally give a wonderful insight of Spain & it's culture for me. Our great grandfather was Spanish.
A dream would be to visit one day. Thank you both.
❤🙏
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you both for this wonderful video. It is truly a joy to see these masterpieces of architecture. 💕
Glad you enjoyed it
What a very interesting adventure you are on.
Wonderful thought!! I need to read up on whether Sagnier buildings do have a signature mark on them. Thank you
Great work❤❤❤❤❤
Loved seeing you both again and I enjoyed your vlog!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am sure you are correct. Hopefully you will be able to prove the architect in time. 😊
I hope so too!
So happy to see you again
Beautiful buildings. Fun search.
Great discovery. Glad you nailed it!
Such fabulous architecture
Beautiful architecture, thanks for sharing this
Thank you. This is your best video so far. You explain everything do well...please make more videos like this. Can you tell us how houses like this are restored, etc Again, thank you.
What a delightful comment. Thank you enormously. Much love
Love the history and what a talented architect ❤❤❤
