Camilla, your reupholstered chair looks amazing in your house! It’s so lovely to see you enjoy time & artistic inspiration with your sisters & utilising the acoustics with such talented singing! You are blessed!
What a wonderful episode! I just loved travelling with you to The Hague and seeing all the wonderful pieces of art, as well as the fabric samples back at home in the Mansion. Ending with those wonderful musicians and singer was the "piece de la resistance!" Gracias for the wonderful entertainment...sending hugs from Tuscany 🤗🥰💖🌳💐🌠
Very special video, I loved it. The art gallery, the discussion of the various fabrics, interesting but too detailed and then ending with the fabulous music concert. Who was the intriquing young singer? So talented. Thanks for sharing your sisters and your relationships. I would love to see a portrait done of you all, casually lounging together. Marianne, Chicago.
Lovely video. Beautiful singing at the end. I find it fascinating watching pianists. The channel and the house are going from strength to strength! Thank you for the video!
People often neglect how important music is in a home, it's knits everything together. When I feel a bit off I play my favorite Bach Concerto 1 in the stairwell and it turns the house into this incredible chateau.
What beautiful art in your sister's workplace. I love the colors and textures you are towards. Thanks for the short concert, guys. Camilla, I absolutely love the chair you did. Awsome job.❤
Loved the stunning artworks in your sister’s gallery. Another wonderful episode featuring, Art, beautiful fabrics, music, animals and add to that talented family, friends, good food and wine you have the ingredients for a perfect life. Loved your chair too and your summery shorts and top.
I loved all of the paintings is this video. I especially loved the first large white canvas with brightly colored flowers. I think it would be difficult to be anything but happy with that on your wall. It's a ray of sunshine. 🙂🇨🇦
Wonderful journey …. The Hague, the art, back to the mansion with lovely fabrics, curtain plans, sisters, the music, and of course, beautiful job on the chair. I always appreciate your videos.
What a beautiful vlog, both to look at and to listen to! Those fabrics are gorgeous. And what an angelic voice that singer has. Food for the soul today.
I also love the recurring comments about Barbie fabrics and chairs! I think Marie Antoinette Barbie is still my favourite one, but Tweed Barbie has some legs, too. ;-P
I’m Afrikaans speaking and could absolutely understand what you ordered in the restaurant in The Hague. Well done! Loved seeing the beautiful artwork in De Twee Pouwen. And how wonderful to end with that lovely musical performance! I hope your sister feels better real soon. Best wishes to you all from Hermanus, South Africa 🇿🇦
Love the episodes with Vanessa in them . She looks fabulously well and has such an interesting career . Could you share some info on your family upbringing & what influenced you to pursue your respective interests in art, architecture, history , culture and aesthetics ? I gather your mother was a teacher but would love to know more about the immersion you benefitted from that spawned such capable, intelligent and interesting women
The chair is beautiful! I've always trained my cats to use the cardboard scratching posts. Put one in each room. Much more satisfying to their nails and I've NEVER had a cat scratch the furniture. Hope that tip helps.
Could I make a suggestion? When the walls of the salon are restored, the greens might be quite different than they are now, mightn't they? Which would mean that coordinating upholstery fabric to the colors in the floor would be more reliable. I think the earth-pigment pinks would be the most harmonious, both before and after restoration of the walls.
You will no doubt end up with the most beautifully renovated home and its incredible acoustic qualities could possibly lend themselves to organising regular, small scale musical events.
I love Amsterdam, I used to go each year to visit a Dutch friend but he now lives in Algarve and as I live in Dordogne I really don't need more heat ! I often went in winter when the canals froze! We did plan to meet up in Lisbon for the first time in many years then lockdown happened and then I moved. Would be nice to take a room with him in Amsterdam and just walk around for a few days , it's so nice taking tea at all hours by the canals.
Dear Camilla, you're considering so many lovely fabrics. I'm searching for interior fabrics as well at the moment and you've sparked my interest in 'JH'. Best wishes Maria
Maybe you can organize small concerts in your house for people living in your neighborhood. In Holland we call them 'coffee concerts'. Love the pink curtains. (but please, no tie backs...) Brigitte from the Netherlands 🌷🇳🇱
The little black kitten is absolutely charming.Pls tell us more about it. How did it come to join the house hold and what is it called? The art gallery, De Twee Pauwen in the Hague is gorgeous and I am In ove with Daphne Janssen’s art. Also, Bas Meeuws photograph. Wow! I shall definitely visit De Twee Pauwen the next time I am in The Hague. And ending with that wonderful music! This has been such a lovely visit with you. Thank you, so much.
Loved the music, thank you so much. For the Grande Salon, try the green for curtains with white sheers. Use a wide embroidered trim for the green curtains incorporating the colors in a bold pattern that gives a nod to the incredible custom handpainted flooring. Keep the fru fru to a minimum in the Grande Salon. Let Ollie's work stand out. No tassels in the Grande Salon instead save those for the bedroom. Love the pink shimmer silk , however, silk curtains deteriorate so quickly due to sun damage.Definately shell pink on the fainting couch. Try a color match in another curtain material, and put the money in the tassels and trim work on the curtains and furnishings. Lovely feminine chair in the pink! I would use the same shell pink in the bedskirt, pillow bolsters, bed hangings, pillows, and have the wall design repeated in the bed linens. Use Monograms on Frette bed pillows.
I love Bas Meeuws' work. The gloss finishes remind me of Japanese lacquer work, and have an almost 3D quality to them. There's a talented British artist called Lily Greenwood who makes similar nature-inspired realistic gouache artworks with the same almost 3D laquered effect.
There's a lovely thick quilting fabric for curtains used in the lining that will keep in the heat, out the sound and help a lot with the echo in the room as I'm sure your designer knows. Lol
Im so happy you are bringing out the pretty colors in the tiles ! To me brown is not a color it is dirt so i might have something brown like wood in a room but i would never spend money on brown fabric or upholstery or paint 😉😂 . If people have a lot of brown in their homes i try really hard not to judge them they just dont know better. 🤣 ❣️❣️❣️ i probably had a prior life in a pastel castle lol .
Buttons are hard. If the part with the buttons is in good shape after a good cleanning you can always leave the part alone and just find a fabric that works with it. If not enjoy the challenge
Camila, I think you need to check regarding your UA-cam channel I have marked and subscribed to get all notifications from you and then the last or three weeks you haven’t come up in my feed I’ve looked for you and you’re nowhere to be found and then all of a sudden I see you on the sidebar and that’s how I know you have a video out. I Checked to make sure that I get all notifications and yes it’s marked all notifications.
@@toddekstrom7963 I grew up with Family Cats and we made it happen. And, we didn't have scratching posts. Cats are trainable; but owners are lazy. Similar to dog owners that don't train dogs.
Such a gift to have wonderful sisters in your life.
I love seeing Ollie's artwork sprinkled throughout the Magical Mansion....!

So many wonderful things going on here -- art -- I love Ollie's painting -- masks -- the fabrics, the music, the family.🌺
what a lovely voice that young man has! as lovely as your home, fabrics and furniture - he fits right in!!! the pianist is also wonderful.
Brilliant from start to finish! Loved the ending 💕

The patience you display in doing a chair up like that. I am impressed!
Beautiful music, sisters are amazing, some of us are lucky to have them! Enjoyed this vlog!
Just beautiful. A feast for the senses. Thank you!

Another beautiful vlog. Art, culture, beauty and calm : the vibes from your vlogs are so positive and harmonious.
Beautiful artwork in your sisters studio, and the swatches of fabric are lovely
Uplifting singer and pianist, Bravissimi.

I’ve put clear tape on things my cat likes to scratch.
They don’t seem to like the feel or sound, and stop scratching.
Good luck with your skill.
Love the travel.
Hiya Lovlies Thankyou for sharing. Blessings luv Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🐝

Hi kerri🌹🌹
How are you doing?
I would really enjoy a stronger stronger look for the curtains in the grand Salon (like the brown shown on a velvet)
Don’t forget to look at your choices in the room at night. Everything changes.

Wonderful video 🥰🥰
The finished version of the stairway statue looks just like Camilla from the side profile!
Lovely episode ❣️👏🏻👏🏻
I have fabric and art envy. Also, mansion and music envy. I love my home, but....

Any idea when you’ll be able to start the restorations

Lovely….!!
So, it's been three months since your last video. Are you all OK ? Missing your posts ! Hope all is well ! 💗🙏
Sunbrella fabric would idea.
You can paint fabric, Annie Sloane has a video on it.👍
Just a suggestion…if you have the rich, luxurious curtains a wider luxurious trim would add to the feeling of luxury.
Trim with dangling fringe you need to think how they will hang on the curtains
Hi Drusabs🌹🌹

🥇🤗😘😍🎉
Keep the Cats off your furniture. It will be such a shame for them to ruin the fabric.😢
That’s impossible. I suggest redirecting them to many scratching posts. Can’t watch them 24/7.
