Greetings, hello and welcome!
Another episode coming your way! Great to see you back and enjoying the series so much!
Today we get a fair amount done, tough to balance it all so we'll have to start trying to pack less into the mission agenda's going into the episode but I think we're still all on the same page about our short term expansion :)
Drop me a thought and join our Discord too!
Enjoy,

Your build style is so different than mine but I love it. The best part about Cities is how different everyone makes their cities.
I'm always amazed by how much you get done in such a short time! I don't even know if I could go back to vanilla gameplay! But maybe that's why you go faster cause you don't get lost in the endless tweaking with mods. I can easily spend over an hour on the silliest little intersection playing with move it, node controller and so on 😅 City is looking great!!
I am absolutely loving this series it inspired me to start my own vanilla playthrough
Happy building Mike, happy to be part of the inspiration :)
Man, I'm loving this series. The way the city is developing so naturally is great. Keep up the good work!
Episode 11! ImperialJedi Strikes Back!
Movie franchise in the making?
@@ImperialJedi only if we can complete the trilogy in 12 parsecs.
I would've turned that whole rock and dune feature into a nature reserve! 🙂
Use a pathway around your big warehouse to get rid of bumps it's flattens it out. The first pathway and bike pathway don't work so well.
Nice to see cityskylines still being played even after 7 years.
I still somehow can't get enough!
@@ImperialJedi Like me, and as you said, this game has such a great addiction potential. And i further agree, that there is no real competition out there even after seven years. I am asking myself, if there once will be another contestant ... or will be Cities Skylines 2 the fiercest opponent of CS 1??!! 😉
@@ImperialJedi it's a game I would be still playing if I could. Time and no computer at the moment. A few Paradox games tend to get better with DLCs as the have two others I have that I played. A space one a historical one though skylines is the best out of them.
If you place the train station against the big road then delete the big road you can then draw a smaller road straight from the train station parking lot
very excited to see you do the waterfront rebuild! Don't forget to use the pedestrian streets to make it look like a boardwalk! (:
GREAT SHOW!!!😉
Thank you for the upload. Going to work on my city right now. Keep up the series !
Thanks Peter! Have a great day at work :)
Yes! Been looking forward to this 😎 fantastic series
Thanks for saying so Adam!
I loved SimCity. I loved it until Cities: Skylines came out. Now, there are some things that SimCity 2013 had that CS still doesn't have. For example, the expandable schools. You could really build a "campus" with how it worked. You could also layout school bus stops specific for schools, and you can't do that in CS. I also liked how you didn't need to worry about water pipes and electricity in SimCity 2013. Those worked through the roads automatically. You just needed to put down your water/sewer and power plants. And again, you "expanded" those as well. You have "some" of that in CS with mods and some assets but it's not quite the same.
CS is awesome. I love playing it. The variety of maps is astounding. The variety of assets is astounding. The mods. OMG, the mods. And to think several of the mods have been integrated into the main game already is awesome. That is where EA killed SimCity 2013. The maps were too small. You had no highway management. And you could mod the game. Not to mention that for a very long time you couldn't play it without internet access (no sandboxing, I guess it was called).
There's Cities XL and Cities XXL but they don't come close to Cities: Skylines. They're just outdated at this point.
As for predictions - I think we'll have at least another 3 or 4 DLCs before we see a Cities: Skylines 2. When we finally do a CS2, it will incorporate a lot of the mods that we've come to love - like Move It, Find It, Road Anarchy, Traffic Manager and several others of the larger mods. I predict a lot of those will become part of the base game. Performance will be better because it will be designed with multicores in mind and therefore multithreading. I think that is one of the reasons we have not yet seen CS2. They need to get that multithreading correct. Plus, they need to get it correct so that mods can continue to be written for the game. I have no doubt that the dev team has hundreds, if not thousands, of features on their TODO list and they need to prioritize that list. We're going to see more DLCs for CS and then CS2 is going to rock our world.
Thanks for the entertainment :)
Great series
Thanks!
Thanks for the support :)
Great work ❤❤❤
You're too kind!!
I am echoing my comment from the previous video; serious death wave going on. Really need cemeteries.
Right! Gotta get some more cemeteries in!
Super times :-) more videos
Many more to come!
This is the time
I think EA would be stupid not to bring back Sim City at some point. Even Sim City 2013 for its major flaws, the always online and only one title still had some stuff I wish we got in Cities Skylines. It certainly did pollution better than Cities Skylines with having to take into account wind direction. This is a major factor in how cities developed, especially in industrial revolution England. Which tend to have a west - east Prevailing winds lead to poorer areas being built on the East side of most of England's major cities like Manchester and London. Also, the modular city service building, being able to customise and expand schools, Hospitals/clinics, police stations etc. We kind of have a bit of that now with Campus, airports etc being able to build modular places but it was still a good feature for a game that's 10 years old next year.
The other major thing we eventually got was the being able to expand Industries, Sim Citys 2013 basically had the industries DLC by default. Even some etc as you had tourism and trade, like a Rotterdam type city where is major industry is that it's a major trade port, with goods being exchanged. Of course, it lacked the Farming and Forestry, and soon to be financial industry but the basic where there. Sim City 2013 could have been a great game but was held back by EA's mandate at the time that everything had to be online and multiple which limited to buildable area. Luckly, they got rid of the always online requirement, but it pretty much killed the game on arrival. I think EA would be silly to sleep on it. If they announced a Sim City 5 tomorrow, even as a major skylines player. I would be picking it up on day 1, as I'm sure a lot of other people would be as well.
Idk how it would look, but could putting 2 one-ways in place of that intersection look nice? It would prevent left turns. At 23:07 ish.
26:32
can you add a pedestrian bridge between these terminals imperial
I thought the industrial peninsula was meant to be for the Industries DLC?
The bottom part of the industry area peninsula with the cargo station looks a ps1 controller. It would really cool if you placed the buildings and roads to look like the buttons
FK YES!
Not sure why you don't have a Biffa Memorial Roundabout yet.
Hahaha oh my
How do u Get people to use the trains? They never do that with me
Is there a way to reduce train traffic? Especially cargo trains, its like every 3 seconds i have one coming into my stations
I'll try and go over some of that next episode :)
Hopefully we can find some solutions!
In a nutshell though you might need to either disconnect some of them from the main line or have some train tracks that only go between 2 or 3 cargo stations. You can also tinker with one way tracks to force trains in and out a certain way to increase traffic flow.
Move it mod needs to be in vanilla.
