Honestly I didn't like duke that much in vesperia. Alexie was a much better villain in the first half as he was actively working hard to make his goal a reality by copying the blade and planning ahead
I personally think Vesperia is overrated the villain felt disappointed compare to the other game The story is ok but The reason I think the game is good is because of Yuri
@@BLAZER_VA yeah versperia most people say it's different but just being up Yuri who is older but that doesn't really change much about the story compared to other games. Plus his killing of people in power was his own brand of justice didn't do much in the grand scheme of things
Well I think the point of Duke is that he isn’t really a villain. He’s an antagonist to Yuri, but both are striving for a better world. And in the end he helps Yuri, which not many Tales final villains do and that’s kind of refreshing. The only other one that comes to mind is Gaius from Xillia. And even then it took a sequel for him to actually help Jude and Milla. And to be fair he’s more so helping Ludger.
@@InfinityZeroEX van didn't want tear to get hurt. If not for that weakness Luke would have lost. Gauis wanted to free the world and help the people who needed the spyrix tec much like Jude but more in a way of just putting them in the hospital with healthcare. Duke is just boring overall. He was gonna end us to keep the alien invasion from coming his own way due to the blastia thing but he only really helps after we beat him Them we got ricter or whatever his name was in Symphonia two was is actively helping in story and was prepared to shoulder all the burden of the world. Duke isn't special the better written antagonist aka most of them aside duke who is flat have their own way to get results which is what I like about tales of. Heck alexie basically is the reason we even have a chance using his ideas and he's pretty cool overall as he was very proactive in how many plans he had in store
@@ivanbluecool Van was still okay with trying to murder his sister for his ideal. Gaius was the most tenacious bullheaded villain, but I understand his whole thing with him being a King. And to be clear I’m not saying one is better than another because my favorite Tales of Final Villain is Mithos. It’s not even Duke. I do think why I like Duke is my own bias as well that if you have the Devil Arms he gets an extra cool cutscene with them and a third boss fight as opposed to the two. And his third form looks sick. Mithos I just like because of how much they build him up in the lore compared to actually meeting him and clashing with his ideals, but both him and Lloyd want the same thing, albeit in different ways.
