This was after he played the entire Sibelius violin concerto AND after this he played ysaye's efd sonata and nailed that one as well.
"Bach." Yes! Beautiful performance.
Bach ... he is greatest. He play with ur soul ! Every chord is amazing . Bach ... unrepeatable man
One word. Bach.
I was lucky to meet him briefly, astounding player and a nice guy. You can’t help but smile watching him play or teach.
Great sense of humor too
Exquisite. No better rendition of this Sarabande that I have heard.
I feel like music never really got any better than this
You're wrong.
Chopin...
His player is one of the best. Alexander Markov is also excellent.
Wow, Maxim. Hats off.
Admiration totale pour ce musicien d'excellence...
Absolutely beautiful!
Quelle pureté !!
Bravo !
Grande interpretazione! Bravo 👏👏👏
note to self:
bach.
The Song Of Names brought me here.
Listen to Hilary Hahn . Much better than Maxim
Yuyu u cant say its much better , every one has their way of performing and not everyone has the same musical ideas
I like Maxim’s performance more because Hilary Hahn’s interpretation of this is purely stoic, meanwhile Maxim’s rendition has flow!
You clearly don’t appreciate classical music.
Nor do u understand
@Robert Lee, Countertenor Are you sure? Maybe watch some of his other videos.
OMG! The facial grimacing is over the top and distracts from his music making something awful. Too much schmaltz in his playing. Too much ego in his person. He must be insufferable in his private life. His Bach rendition of the Sarabande-insufferable. He doesn't know Bach. I can't watch more of this Klezmer player posing as a virtuoso! What do people see in this guy? Yuck!
Notice at zero seconds he sticks out his tongue between compressed lips.
Lero lero
You completely misunderstand him. This man has no ego. He's the most down to earth (famous) person you could meet. When he plays, he IS the music, totally submerged...which you would probably never understand, if you're stuck at his facial expressions.
Just want to say a few things to enlighten you a bit and make you rethink your statement. From a violinists perspective, Vengerov has quite a good baroque performance practice (even though he doesn't use the a baroque bow because of the previous pieces he played), he has a very good sense for where the melody lies, phrases phenomenally and great technique overall.
And you're supposed to listen more than watch. Do it like he does; close your eyes and enjoy ;)
Play it better then, I dare you
You don‘t know anything about classical music. Very sad
