for the "gta view" deffo need the the other clamp when using the triple mount if your going down some twisty roads, the 1 issue with the triple mount is where the selfie stick attaches is a ball joint, it doesn't matter how tight you make that ball joint (i've used tools to tighten it to max), the law of levers means the further you extend the stick, it will sway, for safety of it not dropping down and the camera bouncing on the road, i put the gap on the ball joint horizontal, but in the twisty bits, British b roads (more commonly referred to as the rally stages 😀) it can and will sway out the side of the car, i've twatted a few trees with it in the past ( thankfully i had lens guards on). the extra clamp holds the sway
Nice video! I'm curious as to how you set it up on the convertible tho, since you don't have a rear window to mount it on. Currently looking for a cam like this for my E46 for a roadtrip i have planned to the UK.
I have the one x2, so awesome! thanks for sharing these ideas, I will have to incorporate some into my videos!! thank you for putting this together and sharing with us 😁
Thanks for watching! The x2 is a really amazing camera too! I almost bought one when they came out, but I was still enjoying the one x a lot at the time, and was trying to control my gear spending too. Which hasn’t been working out lately. Lol.
best camera for the coolest shots ..Im so happy w my X3! I usually just leave it in 360..cool truck btw! I use Epidemic Sound as well..I have used the same song on one of my videos as your mustang convertible clip lol
It’s such a great camera! And thanks! Seems like whenever epidemic sound puts out a really epic song, I hear it in every other video I watch. Some of their stuff is really under rated. I get a lot of the songs stuck in my head while at work.
Definitely! Especially once the weather gets a little better. The cold weather last week killed the battery in the mustang, and the 620 does not like the cold at all.
I know. 😕 I was just taking waaaaay too long on the edit already so I gave up. Lol. I really need to save it as an audio transition preset in Final Cut. And thanks!
Thanks! And it seems to work pretty well at moderate speeds, but I did notice a bit more the faster I went (which I expected). I spent most of today at a track, and should be sorting that footage this week. Probably posting some of that footage as a full vid in the next week or so. Some of those speeds were faster than my local speed limits.
@@RobRabonPhotog thanks for the reply. Ill be looking forward to the next video. If you find the chance could you do an audio video for the mic. Would like to know if I need to buy an external mic to put near the exhaust to get the sound quality im after. I usually run through mountain passes so speeds near 100mph is about the fastest ill even get near.
@@RobRabonPhotog yeah I just clicked your links. I was thinking about $500 with camera plus all the mounts 🤣 I’ll buy a set of slicks before I do that lol
That’s a good question. I’m not sure the max it will go. I only did the speed limit which was around 65mph/100kph. I might try to test it at a higher speed in the near future.
Thanks .. on paper spec the delkin gecko mount can hold up to 150mph.. but I have seen video with the selfie stick, it kinda can’t hold up and the stick snap.. You have additional clamp support which should help provide more support.
Ive seen when people just kinda track other peoples car movements do you have to do it while u recording or can u do it after its recorded? I wanna get me one of these but i have cuestions
I got distracted by trying to make a drift car. And then distracted by buying the race truck. And now I’m just broke. Lol. Hoping to get back to it after I finish painting the ol skyline.
The driving through tree nd trees looks like cook county on nfs rivals

I'm almost certainly going to pick one of these up specifically for my first ever track day - the car multi-view feature is perfect!
I know right! Definitely a game changer for track days.
Great video!
Pretty neat little cam man
Thanks man! I hope you’ve been doing well. Need to get together sometime this year.

@@RobRabonPhotog you are welcome 🤗haha it's hard to resist isn't it?? keep it up!
Great video recently picked up a x3 and I Love it…
Thanks!
And it is a rad cam. I’ve still been taking it everywhere with me.
@@RobRabonPhotog u welcome and yeah man X3 is great multi purpose camera…
Amazing vid my guy 👍

If you’re in a budget, there’s other options from them too.
360 lense it’s not exclusive to x3
Do you find you need the additional grab at the base of the three suction cup mount for the chase shot to stop the wobbling?
So I guess this means, we may get some bubble doughnuts soon?….🤘🏽
Definitely! Especially once the weather gets a little better. The cold weather last week killed the battery in the mustang, and the 620 does not like the cold at all.
You can add small cross fades on your video cuts to stop the clicking sounds. But thanks for the nice review 😊

@@RobRabonPhotog no it’s just a small tip you did great. I thin the short cut is a two key one. Like command r or command r on the two audio clips
Great video on using the x3. Question about the built in mic, is the wind noise a problem at higher speeds? Thanks in advance.
Thanks!

Might need to grab me one of them
I recommend! I like it so much that I’m considering a second one. One for dash cam and one for outside forza shots. But I’m too broke. Lol.

All the fun hobbies are kinda expensive I guess. Lol.
I recently got the X3 and I seem to get WAY more wind noise than you 😢
What is the max speed you did when having this setup on track or drag? Above 200km/h can hold up?

Is it possible to charge it while you use it as a dash cam like with a power bank or plugged into the cigarette lighter
Yea. I used it like that on a recent track day. Just have to be mindful of cord placement, so it doesn’t show up in your shots.
What about the voltage?

Also do u get a app to edit the vids ? Or how to you save them in order to post them do i need a laptop for it?
What happened to the barra swap
