I love the show so much and the books so much! I'm looking forward to the adaptation for the Heroes of the Olympus book series!! I love Percabeth so much!! It's so good!! At first, I was iffy about the casting, but I love their acting so much!! They act like their characters in the books!! Which book is your favorite, and why? My favorite book is the 3rd one!! I also think about the Heroes of Olympus series a lot now!!
the casting IS great! even tho not book accurate 🥹 shame on me, i only read book 1 to be able to enjoy this first season! can’t wait to read the rest later this year 👀
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS! I love those books and I love this adaptation, there are several things different, but for a good cause, I love it. There are only two things so far that are bothering me, but I hope they will cover that til the end of a season, it's just so painful waiting for it to be said. Pls, don't jinx it with the Shadowhunter curse, like I still watch the show, cause it's comforting for some reason, but it's just not a good book adaptation and especially the end is super ruined😭But no, I am sure it will be great, the people are casted so well, like from the trio, to other people, like Clarisse, again, not close to the book, cause she was supposed to be ugly and Dior is so fricking beautiful, but she plays the part so well, you're gonna see, I cannot wait to see more of her. And just the trio, they are just slaying it, it feels like they are the characters, like Walker is literally Percy, Leah has such Annabeth vibe, same with Aryan to Grover. It really shows that Rick is heavily involved in this (btw the cameo in this episode, in the school office? I freaked out...he also has a tiny cameo in the second episode, so you can use your swiftie sight to look for it, but I watched that episode twice and didn't notice until I saw it online lol) and that he makes the decisions and sometimes even corrects his mistakes from the books cause maybe he realized some things are impossible. I've seen a lot of discourse that Gabe isn't that much of a jerk in the show as in the book, which is a bit true, even tho I think that he still can get worse at the end, cause in the book it was also that way, but I think that the main difference is that Sally stands up to him here and that's why it looks that he's not that bad, even tho he still is a jerk, even tho a bit funny one.
omg, i’m so grateful i have an actual FAN of the books here! it makes me feel so good knowing you can tell me the tea, ‘cause i just simply so new to all of this 🥲 I’M SORRY about Shadowhunters!! idk why they crawled into my mind! i’m sure this show’s gonna be an amazing book adaptation (simply ‘cause Rick is a part of it, it’s always gives a big stamp of quality!!) 💪🏻 OMG, THE COMEO?! i wish i knew to look after it! i’ll search online!! they made Gabe not better, but funny..? and the way Sally is a sassy queen in this show made it 20 times better! i simply love her character, hope to see her again 💀
@@reactswithria Yep, also, the cards, you mentioned them, I think they're firstly mentioned in the third book by another character who we might and might not meet this season, we'll see, so maybe they will address them at some point in the show, but they're cards for the game called mythomagic and especially to the one character you don't know yet, they are quite important, so that's why everyone freaked out about it

about shadowhunters, did you mean the abrubt cancelation of the show JUST as it was getting better and better and the writers having to cram the story into like last 5 episodes? 😭
i mean the way the show was kinda so much worse than the movie they did before it (at least season 1), no hate to the show, it’s definitely my guilty pleasure watch, but writing and sometimes acting weren’t great unfortunately 🥲 still re-watched it live 3 times 💃🏼
i don't even know how many years it has been but i'm still bitter. i will never forgive them for doing that to the show, the cast and the fandom. like, they had a goldmine in their hands, just like disney has now with PJO, hope the latter learns from other ppl's mistakes
@reactswithria yea, s1 wasn't the greatest, definitely cringed through multiple episodes, but s2 was miles better and s3 was even more that. like, just as the writers were starting to figure out where they wanted to go with the show, bam, cancelled 😭
no, the ending of shadowhunters kills me every time, even tho it could be worse, so many shows don’t even have an opportunity to “rush” the ending, they just abruptly stop🥲 and as you said, hopefully the people learn from their mistakes…
