I am a DV survivor. It isn’t as easy to leave as people think. They don’t show the signs of crazy until you’re already in the relationship, married, live together, etc.. It’s like they have multiple personalities or something. My ex threatened to kill me. So, I moved when he thought I was going to work. I got a title loan on my car, got a U-Haul , paid to move, etc.. He found me two weeks later. He stalked me and my family. He harassed them to put the pressure on me to come back to him. He tried to run me off the road, came by my apartment every day to move the front door mat (to play mind games and let me know he’s been there). When he broke in when I was at work, that was the last straw. My son caught him in our apartment. I worked the night shift. Anyway, I took a concealed handgun course after that. Two days later, I was forced to make a decision to save me and my kids lives. To make a long story short, he’s no longer with us. He did it to himself.. It was either him; or me… It damn sure wasn’t gonna be me! I found out that night from the officer that he had an open case for stalking another lady. So, from now on, I will be doing background checks on anyone I date in the future. I am still in therapy three years later. I wouldn’t wish this shit on my worse enemy. I’m still paranoid to this day. I trust no one.

I was in an ABUSIVE FOSTER HOME RIGHT BEFORE 10th grade i was hiding the bruses for a WHOLE YR & one day i had ENOUGH & My frenz waited @ the Bottom of the second Stoey Window (she hid my pastport her Husband gave it to me that night & i jumped out the second Story window & NEVER LOOKED BACK.. STAYED IN MY FRENZ ATTIC THEN AN IBGOT CAUGHT WHEN Report Cards got sent out. But i got placed in Another foster home that the Husband tried to Sexual Abuse me EVERYNIGHT.. I RAN AWAY FROM THERE SLEPT IN AN ABANDON HOUSE For 9months til report cards came out. Thenbi slept in an ATTIC 'TIL I WENT TO COLLEGE. I AM 51YRS OLD NOW. And WOW

I had a DV incident in the past..The dude i was dealing with and I got into a heated argument, I removed myself in the moment however he picked me up and was going to give me a ride home. While driving, he pulled my hair! I didn't do anything back because he was behind the wheel driving me home. Once we got to my crib he had the audacity to park! Once the car stopped, I slapped the F out of him and he has locks so i pulled his hair. He definitely could have hurt me and IMO, he had every intention to do so! But because of the grip i had on his locks, he was unable to. A few people saw the end of it, when I retaliated in self defense so i was labeled aggressive and villainized.To add to the topic, every victim of abuse doesn't lay down and take it! Some of us fight back,to the Best of our ability However, it doesn't mean we're not a victim. In our community we look at scenarios where the "fighting" is mutual as," being young, dumb and full of cum, Abuse is Abuse.😢
My high school and college classmates were unalived by their boyfriends before they were 30..
Surviving DV is something we don't talk about is cause THE PUBLIC want to know why this and that.
In my situation I don't want to talk about it or be brought back to that time in my life. My heart always goes out to DV victims and survivors. I've been there but I refuse to go back. Keke got family that got her back I got a feeling she'll bounce back.

I have never been in an abusive relationship so I don't know what she may be going through..my only thing is the son needs his father.I don't think she should go back to him but if the guy wants to be a father let him. They don't have to be together but at least let him be a father.
If he’s toxic what’s the purpose of having him around the baby when that’s the only thing he will teach and show him! My daughter’s dad taught her all of his ways before we split and no matter hours hard I try and break that ish and tell her why not this and that it doesn’t work. So there’s no need to have him around him, father or not! Trust me. Especially if there’s nothing of value being instilled into the child
