Good for you on buying the plastic Santa!!! I was hoping you would rescue him! When I was a little girl, my dad was king of all those plastic Christmas figures. He'd have the large plastic snowman along with the Santa on our front porch all lit up. He has been gone from me for many years now, but I always remember those girlhood Christmas memories of my Dad's kitschy decorating skills. Several years ago, my sister-in-law bought me my very own plastic porch Santa! It looks very similar to the one you purchased. I protect him from damaging sunlight & falling over. To this day, he's still in great shape! I look forward to bringing him out every year for Christmas! He's so cute, cheery & brings back fond memories of my dear Dad. Though he passed away many years ago, I miss him terribly! Guess I always will.
Yeah the church had no right to invite people from other countries to invade and steal other people's land. People that already owned the land. Think about it. What right did your decendants have.
Eghads… the greed that is Goodwill! Last year I bought both a Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus blow mold for $12.99 each. So to have one at $139 is absolutely ridiculous.
I have a mixed wall on a bright color wall. I frame things I like such as embroidery, birthday cards, photos, postcards, prints, goodwill purchases. Looks lovely and I can change things around.
Your other light up figurines ( like that Santa ) can be weighted down too. Just remove the light, an pour some gravel thru the hole, till your happy it won't blow away. Then they'll be a Glowing Christmas Family all on your porch this year ! :~)
I was in GW the other day and a woman was building a Xmas Tree out or glass large bowls in one of the aisles to figure out which ones she wanted. I was 3 aisles away when I heard a giant crash. I felt bad for her but also told myself it was another reason to not recycle glass into a flower or tree.
Hopefully this will be a useful tip when I am doing a wall collection I lay that out on the floor and what I think is how I want to hang it and make adjustments which is better than pounding a bunch of holes on the wall
The fish is very cool! I have that exact small clear glass swan..I keep it on the windowsill above the kitchen sink and I do use it as a trinket dish ❤ your plate wall will look amazing Jocelyn!!
We use the currier and Ives dishes as our everyday dishes. One because my husbands grandmother had them and two because they are smaller than normal plates.
Vintage Celery dish under the little rough red fridgy...also larger clear fridge dish with lid...anchor hocking I believe a few shelves up from red fridgy
00:43 Beware dying of dysentery! 🤣🤣 01:12 I mean, they're beautiful. I'd be tempted. They're Royal's Currier & Ives Blue, and date no later than 1970. I first got hooked on Currier & Ives in the '60s because my father's insurance agency gave away promotional wall calendars he bought from the Travelers Insurance Company. He'd pay me a penny a calendar to roll and rubber-band them for our customers. The Travelers offers the calendars, first introduced in 1936, in their online store to this day. 01:40 It's like a cross between blue granite ware and spatter ware. 02:10 The sugar depicts a side-wheeler steamboat. Looking closely, you can see "New Orleans Packet - ECLIPSE." painted on her wheel covers. There were at LEAST fourteen Mississippi side-wheelers named "Eclipse;" this one is probably the one built in Indiana in 1852 and wrecked at New Orleans in 1860 during a storm. (Eight years was a good lifespan for a Mississippi steamboat; the average was five years before sinking, blowing up, or burning.) 05:20 I think we're a little ... _unclear_ on why you put things in boxen to begin with. (Like *BEFORE* they're broken!) 07:31 They're a set! One has the constellation itself, the other its name (Pisces). 11:00 Looks like reverse-painted lucite, with a second layer poured over after the paint dried. 11:28 Hampton Bay is Home Despot's house brand ... QUITE uninteresting, save for whatever intrinsic appeal it might have. 12:20 Which ain't to mention that, looking at the way the top's bubbled, it's been WET and won't be sound any longer. 13:09 "but WAIT! There's MORE ..."
Wow, you really found some good things there. I'm not ready for Christmas either, at all, but the Santa is cute. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I alwaus decorate for it. 🎃🎃🎃
Hahaha! I think your typical is: I don't need anymore studio pottery.....oh look, studio pottery mugs 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ All love. We all do it! Are the animal heads kitchen "wall hooks", maybe. My kids played Oregon trail, you really made me laugh with the dysentery comment 😂
Hello from Oregon! I love your Halloween nails 💅 I found one of those porcelain flower bowls a couple of years ago at my favorite thrift intact for $1. Your Santa's sleigh was full🎅 Happy Halloween 🎃👻
You hit the jack box with the plates! Esp like the French plates... love the fish too. It's taken me awhile to figure out what you meant by hobbyist pottery, but my cousin was into that for a good while. I have a funky set of bowls we made one year. I use them every year at our family reunion...they're bright colors and very festive.. sawgrass basket iMay not be the real thing but it's a great basket for a great price...
Those sea grass baskets are popping up all over Home Goods and Target, made in the Philippines…I don’t know how you tell the difference between those and NC sweetgrass baskets!! At any rate…they are lovely!
@ True, but Target has been having ones that look just like them made in Philippines…that was what I was trying to let her know. Because real sweetgrass baskets are sought after and pricey, there are reproductions out there.
that plate lol I would be thinking Donner Party of 8 :D think you are thinking cut out lamp when looking at that vase... I have two beautiful 70's burn orange cut out lamps and matching shades in excellent condition I picked up for free at a garage sale :)
Maybe take the plates do layout on the floor before marking up the wall take a photo on the floor so you have a record so you don't not forget the layout ! Just a thought so not putting too many holes in the wall ! Thanks for sharing !
Hay lady you bought it all!! . I kinda did he same thing yesterday, heading out to my local honey hole in a hour . Sure wish I could use my android phone on Nik nax ,I guess I am getting a new Apple phone soon .
Maybe you just have a typo in your time, and already know this. In case not, if you’re adding time stamp so viewers can jump to this place in the video, instead of a . use a : , so 13:16. There’s also a symbol at the right side of the comment field (a small box with a + in the top right corner) that, when you click on it, adds the time stamp.

lol-“You have died of dysentery”…so funny:)
I love decorating with plates, not the collectors plates, just vintage!
I teach preschool and love when kids have those lunch containers! So easy to open the lid and not have to open anything else.
Love the covered wagon plate. My family came to Portland 179 years ago. 2nd Great Grandmother died, but not from dysentery!
LOL

I loved this shopping trip. I really didn’t want the video to end 💔 Such a great haul today 🎉
Love the Blow Mold Santa
YES That is also the constellation of Pisces
Your other light up figurines ( like that Santa ) can be weighted down too. Just remove the light, an pour some gravel thru the hole, till your happy it won't blow away. Then they'll be a Glowing Christmas Family all on your porch this year ! :~)
No that was a great shopping trip!! I just loved that you were so successful. Thanks for the adventure

What a fun video! Loved the Santa and loved watching him go picking with you😁

I loved the pink fish too 😊
I like how you kept finding things and showing us even after you said you were heading out. 😊
The bird plates are wonderful!! 🎉
We use the currier and Ives dishes as our everyday dishes. One because my husbands grandmother had them and two because they are smaller than normal plates.
Wondering if that large etched round glass plate thingy is actually a table top for a side tabe.
Too funny i remember the blow molds flying away off your porch!
I actually lay out on the floor. It gives you a great idea on how it may look on your wall, before you hsng them up
I just love those courier and Ives dishes. They sold those at Kmart back in the late 80s. I remember buying them when I was young.
I think they were grocery store give-aways in the 60s or 70s.
Vintage Celery dish under the little rough red fridgy...also larger clear fridge dish with lid...anchor hocking I believe a few shelves up from red fridgy
I have a plate wall.
I love the idea.
Mine are fruit and vegetable plates in my dining room.
In my living room I have bird plates.
Love them.❤️
Love the bird plates
Laurel is gonna be so fun this Christmas ❤

"You have died of dysentery" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I laughed out loud when you said that. I was already thinking the same thing 😅
Plates on the wall are so pretty. I have them on my wall. Great haul!
Wow, you really found some good things there. I'm not ready for Christmas either, at all, but the Santa is cute. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I alwaus decorate for it. 🎃🎃🎃
Blue light special at Goodwill! I don’t think I’ve ever seen your cart so full! I love the wall plates idea. You may have started a trend! 🌞🌻🌻🌻🌻
I love the “got to move on with my life” after filling your cart and then continuing and holding your finds!!
Hey. I ADORE plates. So go ahead! Buy all the plates!! 😂😂😂
Loving the pink in your hair
Hahaha! I think your typical is: I don't need anymore studio pottery.....oh look, studio pottery mugs 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ All love. We all do it!

My kids played Oregon trail, you really made me laugh with the dysentery comment 😂
Great finds today!! I’m a wee bit envious of a a few of them! 🫣😋 💚
Congrats!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Your videos are my end of the day boost.
When you said oh look at these fun crocks I wasn’t watching my screen. I immediately thought the shoes and I was excited for a brief moment. 😂

LOVE SANTA, every is really cute. Love it all. Happy Halloween
I have the Mr. & Mrs. Claus...I inherited them in mint condition from my grandmother.
Plastic blow molds w/sand in the bottom for weight.
I had my grandmas celluloid light up Santa for several years and he eventually disintegrated. I was so bummed.
C and I is low end, mass produced. That purple bowl is beautiful, crocks are great!
The purple bowl is so pretty isn’t it 🎉
The large glass with ducks etched on it is a glass coffee table top
Those sea grass baskets are popping up all over Home Goods and Target, made in the Philippines…I don’t know how you tell the difference between those and NC sweetgrass baskets!! At any rate…they are lovely!
Sweetgrass baskets are also made in SC and GA 😊
@ True, but Target has been having ones that look just like them made in Philippines…that was what I was trying to let her know. Because real sweetgrass baskets are sought after and pricey, there are reproductions out there.
Joc " I'm heading to the front to check out." 2 hours later........LMBO! I luv ya girl! :)
A very sweet & inspiration Niknax video at the end 😊
Lots of goodies today..love them all
That was a fun trip to the Goodwill ❤❤❤
Wow that was a FULL cart. Love love santa. Pretty plates 😊
My Sister in law did a plate wall on her outdoor wooden fence on her patio.
That was such a fun trip to the Goodwill! You found amazing items..🙏🏻🥰
I actuality liked everything you bought in this video 😊 it's been a while since you've spent that much at a goodwill.
Love your videos
Use flatiron paste on plate hangers. They are great and won't chip the plate.
I recently sold the yellow blendo S&P shakers that match that pitcher you found.
that plate lol I would be thinking Donner Party of 8 :D think you are thinking cut out lamp when looking at that vase... I have two beautiful 70's burn orange cut out lamps and matching shades in excellent condition I picked up for free at a garage sale :)
6:41 This seems to be a side plate. not a saucer. There isn’t an indent for the cup in the middle, like the saucer with the yellow flowers at 7:09.
I always find great stuff at the Hanover Goodwill.
Love all the plates you got.
Walmart sold that same blow mold Santa a while ago. I bought mine there.
I bought him for my front porch, so it doesn’t both me how old he is. 🤷🏼♀️
Girl you hit the mother load!!! Nice pickings 😮❤
Yeah, the blue and white plate with the mountain scene and the wagon train reminds me of the Donner party! I don’t think I could buy that either…
What awesome finds🎉
Up in the top ten of thrift store full carts! ❤
Loving the full cart!!!
I bought mine in the 80s at Kmart. I still have them.
Gosh that was a great shopping trip 🤗❤️❤️
SC girl here. No that was not a SC sweet grass basket. I love yellow too and loved the Italy plate! 💛
Hey, SC here, too, and I didn’t think it was either! 🌞🌻🌻🌻
When you finish your plate wall please share.... 😊
My mom had those Currier and Ives dishes. They were premiums from A&P grocery store.
Sold my set of Currier and Ives dinnerware years ago...wish I hadn't
🎉🎉great finds filled buggy 🎉🎉🎉
Maybe take the plates do layout on the floor before marking up the wall take a photo on the floor so you have a record so you don't not forget the layout ! Just a thought so not putting too many holes in the wall ! Thanks for sharing !
Awesome trip
Now that was a great shopping trip alright 👍 filled that cart up baby 😅
Long leaf pine needle basket
Time stamp, please?
Lol. You have died of dysentery. 😂😂😂😂😂 Best game ever.
Hay lady you bought it all!! . I kinda did he same thing yesterday, heading out to my local honey hole in a hour . Sure wish I could use my android phone on Nik nax ,I guess I am getting a new Apple phone soon .
The etched piece is a table top.
Speckled bowl is Hyalin pottery.
Thank you!
You squirreled away from the squirrel 🐿️ 😅
Maybe you should try some Avon pieces. My Aunt had Avon all over her home. She collected it.
Some of the pieces were gorgeous!
And not the NikNax video at the end… making me cry! 😭
Even reproduction oyster plates can go for good amounts! I kept saying, "Put it in your cart." I guess you didn't hear me. LOL!
Woo hoo !! Time to shop !!! Hello from Idaho !!!
Pine needle basket
Yes that looked like sweetgrass
Wow, that was a great haul! Good stuff there. Thanks Jocelyn! 👍🏼😊
What fun!🎉🎉🎉
Okay 4:31, what kind of piggy bank was it? I dream of finding Wymes, but i think thats gonna be *really* hard in the US.
I had a plate wall in my apartment before I was married. It was so fun!
Hello from Australia
Hello from Tasmania......yes, we are a part of Australia...lol..😂😂😂😂
I like that weed pot!!!
You missed the side plates at the back, the bird ones....13.16
