Seen him in concert a few times. His singing is magic. So is his personality. He loves interacting with his audience. Makes us all love him more. He is a very kind, very nice person, might I add. Wishing him well in his recovery.💗
And that’s why we want you guys to react to him live so you can see why we call him the voice. Such a performer, entertainer, musician, singer, gentlemen, etc. You should check him out in this same concert with the Orchestra singing a Beatles song called “help” it’s insane
Aussie legend John Farnham recently endured 12 hours of surgery to remove a cancerous mouth tumor we may never hear him sing again but he was / is a legend down under
We may, or may not see him sing live or indeed ever again, however he IS and will always be the GOAT - and he isn't dead yet. The man has had more last performances than any other artists that I can think of - maybe an honourable mention for Sir Elton John ;-)
This is the Anthem to all us Aussies who grew up in the 80’s. Should be an anthem for the world now. Love Farnsey. Hope his recovery is going well. ❤️🇦🇺👍🏼
He always put 110% into anything he sings. Help, Playing to Win and It’s a Long Way to the Top from the same concert are all examples of his awesomeness.
And It's a long way to the Top? That's the ultimate rock song, sung by the ultimate singer of his eras. So stunning, listen to it every day, along with many of his other songs. My daily fix, makes me so happy! ❤❤
This incredible song is a world anthem that rallies the people to stand up for liberty against all odds. No greater singer than John Farnham to deliver it. Timeless.
He knows Australia loves him a shitload! Most of us have that special place for him within our hearts... He's a beautiful soul who connects with us in so many unique ways...
You would be amazed how many people have NOT heard this song! We Aussies react to a lot of them listening and seeing John Farnham for the very first time. They are in awe of his talent. There are many of John's songs on YT video. Most of John's songs deliver a message. Some of these are - 'Age of Reason', 'In Days To Come', 'See the Banners Fall', 'Beyond The Call Of Love', 'Help". Always watch John LIVE in concert performance where his Soul shines. Please enjoy some more. We'll be watching.
I never get tired of this song, and this is one of the best performances of it. Pay very close attention to the mic stand throw and catch..the one before he throws it to stage left. He twirls it up in the air, and catches it ...ON THE BEAT!!
John is a force of nature! His covers of Zeppelin's "Black Dog" ua-cam.com/video/F2Yi6TVi-sU/v-deo.html and AC DC's "Long way to the Top" ua-cam.com/video/73X_z_zW4Sg/v-deo.html always leave me speechless.
please react to his version of the beatles hit help at this same concert, it is the best live video i nave ever seen and amazingly enough it was the last song of a 2 hour show
Loved this reaction! Always listen to any Aussie artist live, it’s always better! Please react to John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes “When something is wrong with my baby”
Great review. That is for doing this. Have you watch John perform “Help” at this same concert, with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. If you haven’t, please do. No other version - the live version with the orchestra is the best
Loved Farnsey for years. Incredible power, and expression emanates from his entire being. Look at how far away he holds the mic, and yet still he is as powerful as ever. Gorgeous on the outside with a sexy charisma, and a beautiful person inside, he is right up there in that rarified air with Floor Jansen (Nightwish), and Freddie Mercury (Queen). Greetings from New Zealand :)
Subbed for more Farnsy! Go for it! Get well John! 💕 Not sure if I remember correctly ... but I think it was that the studio version was completely synthesised apart from the bagpiper ... I have a memory of an interview where Farnsy said he was the only real musician on the album and they forgot to credit him. 🤩He is also known for his mIc stand throwing and microphone tricks ... they don't always pan out, but nobody cares ... he loves what he does and we love him!
Great for you. You have finaly found the holy grail of male singers. This man is one in a billon singers. Uniqe is the word. He can master any kind of genre to perfektion. And he is a 110% live performer. No audio version. I hope he gets well soon and back on stage again where he belongs. ❤
It is an Anthem for today, but so too is his cover of Cold Chisel’s “When the War is Over”. There is a YT Version where John sings it with Jimmy Barnes and it is so powerful.
A great reaction to this amazing song! If you like this, I'd recommend you should check out his cover of _When Something Is Wrong With My Baby_ with Jimmy Barnes, as well as Johnny Diesel on guitar. I'd recommend a live version because he and Jimmy bring Diesel in and they all do an acapella bit at the end. Chills every time.
@Powerful Reactions I've subbed so I'll be excited to see it when you do! I saw you also reacted to Bloodywood and realised I previously watched your reaction to _Dana Dan,_ and corrected my mistake of not having yet subbed!
"that was John Farnham with his band and his backing singers - with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra". John's band and backing singers all have huge musical pedigrees in their own right. First time viewing your channel. I've subscribed. Will now look for your reactions to other Farnsey songs. I'm hoping to find John's cover of AC/DCs It's a Long Way to the Top. And Led Zep's Black Dog (this one was a warm up sound check, no visuals, but OMG! ......). What a singer, what a voice, what a legend. And an all round lovely humble person. July'24. UK. E ❤
John is a Aussie legend that's why they call him 'The Voice' and to be honest we over here in New Zealand call him that as well. Kiwis love him just as much as the Australians. He can sing any genre, has an epic range from low to really high and can bring in a bit of grit when he needs to. This song is referred as the unofficial Australian Anthem, it's so well liked. Also John loves performing live he really likes interacting with his fans, bending down shaking hands all while belting out those high notes. Songs you will like are 'When The War Is Over' ua-cam.com/video/BekbvlLzMWc/v-deo.html 'Help' ua-cam.com/video/dv54giOSRKs/v-deo.html 'That's Freedom' ua-cam.com/video/JWjtlMBl3Xo/v-deo.html 'Two Strong Hearts' ua-cam.com/video/tqaMHMooiEU/v-deo.html 'It's A Long Way To The Top' ua-cam.com/video/bfmRQUTRaHc/v-deo.html. Also he does a song with another Australian icon Jimmy Barnes this one is called 'Something Is Wrong With My Baby' ua-cam.com/video/ihsfx1LuoKc/v-deo.html. Well that should keep you busy listening to in my opinion the best singer ever.
It amazes me that you missed John tossing the stand in the air and catching it. Play again and watch. You can tell when he's gonna throw the stand, when he starts tightening it.
You need to check out Help with the MSO, his voice is off the charts. John is the ultimate entertainer and performer, he’s always got this amazing energy on stage. This is why he is known as The Voice. He’s an Aussie legend and can sing genre. No one comes close to him.
Actually, he does that with the mike stand in every show at that point. The staging is designed to reach a climax like that. It's far more controlled than you think. But the fact that it feels so spontaneous is a tribute to his professionalism. He is such a likeable person, and that shows in his concerts. You never mentioned his amazing voice. He is known in Australia as "the voice" because he can sing anything. And brilliantly. Defining him as born in England misses the point that he is a naturalised Australian citizen and identifies as Australian. Dami Im's performance of the Sound of Silence (not the Simon and Garfunkle song) in the Eurovision song contest is worth seeing as well. She should have won it.
If you think this was good check out the rest of this concert , they do a tribute cover of ACDC's LONG WAY TO THE TOP and the performance epitomises a live Farnsey gig everyone on stage and most of the audience go off and in a good way its spectacular on TV and even better being in the audience .
Hewouldputout a album do the rounds promoting it then spend 7 months touring live shows with 30000 to 60000per show he did 14 shows on this tour at rod laver areana in 28 days in Melbourne alone 50000 plus sold out every show on tour
I’ve been having a tough time trying to place your accent - I truely can’t and I have you from anywhere from Belgium to Russia haha - this is bad - help me out here
Watch same concert help remake of beetles song Don't in a different way and they loved the way he had done it and sent him their appreciation of the version
dude, I appreciate your reaction, but 3 minutes until it plays is a bit long. I am genuinely sorry if that is rude, I just don't know how to be polite sometimes...
Seen him in concert a few times. His singing is magic. So is his personality. He loves interacting with his audience. Makes us all love him more. He is a very kind, very nice person, might I add.
Wishing him well in his recovery.💗

Definitely a Living Legend

You’re the Voice sung by the Voice himself!! Such an incredible performance, this whole concert is worth watching! Thank you!
This is the Anthem to all us Aussies who grew up in the 80’s. Should be an anthem for the world now. Love Farnsey. Hope his recovery is going well. ❤️🇦🇺👍🏼
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
How long can we look at each other down the barrel of a gun??? Anthem for America right there!!!!
@@kirk5152 exactly. Pity the Americans themselves just don’t see it though.
@@PowerfulReactions John warms his voice up to Black Dog. There is an audio of this floating around on UA-cam... You like metal...🐨🐨
My favourite part of every concert...when he sings 'You're The Voice' and the bagpipes start! The crowd roars!
He always put 110% into anything he sings. Help, Playing to Win and It’s a Long Way to the Top from the same concert are all examples of his awesomeness.
Love Playing to Win - now that's energy!!
Timeless.
He is Our Voice. 5 decades of number one hits. John rules and we wish him well as he now battles cancer.
Incredible
He knows Australia loves him a shitload! Most of us have that special place for him within our hearts... He's a beautiful soul who connects with us in so many unique ways...
Saw John sing this song a few years back at the grand age of 72 and he still had this amazing voice.
What a powerful and talented person
I also heard him around that time - he is such an amazing VOICE and a brilliant performer.

HELP Live with the MSO should be next. Cheers for the enthusiastic reaction! 👏
This song is so much more relevant today more then ever. Great reaction & Love John so much a living Legend here in Australia :-)
❤he is the Voice

John always interacts with the audience. Absolute Legend. That's why we call him the voice in Australia. Great guy and champion
Love your reaction. One of our best. So needed now. Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️
Great reaction to my all time favourite Singer/Performer!❤️🎶Thank you.
Thank you Debbie

Loved your reaction.
Thank you very much
In Australia there is no one like Farnham. He is much loved ❤

Always go for live versions of John Farnham. Way better then the album versions.
10 to 12 thousand people in the audience in the Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne.
Now you need to here him sing Help as an encore at the same concert. He taught the Beatles how to sing it.
The song is great. 🎶🌾🎶 Evaluation 👍 Thank you for the video 🌿
From an Australian-thanks for the video! I love this song
We Aussies love John. Same concert you should do Help. John is super fantastic.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Not sure what’s more impressive, John’s vocal performance or the mic stand toss, catch and throw.
Playing to Win and It’s a Long Way to the Top from the same concert are all examples of his talent 11/10
A song for all ages. Especially in the world today.
Now try John farnham singing help with mso again same concert
You are the FIRST reaction guy to actually notice him throwing the mic in the air and catching it at 07:31! Well spotted
Great reaction! John Farnham is an amazing performer! THank you.
Thank you
Those mic stands were always thrown around or flipped by John in a few of his concerts… still a very amazing guy. Love to John and his family ❤

He is THE VOICE, Where was the USA in the 1980,s. So may great singers the

Very interesting, can't wait
The BEST LIVE version is from The Whispering Jack Tour 1987 from Melbourne!! NOTHING like IT! That's how this New Yorker fell in love with Him!!
John Farnham is. AUSTRALIA'S KING of Music. ... Freddy Mercury loved Johns vioce and asked Johnny Farnham to be there lead singer 🎶❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺

Great reaction to a Great Song and amazing Performer.
Thank you John
You should watch John sing Help at the same concert. Brilliant
Adding it to the list, thanks for watching
Compared to the official video, this smashes it!

Welcome to the Rabbit-Hole that is John Farnham's discography and live performances and collaborations.
I believe this was the second of two encores. He was probably buggered.
Shame he wasn't recommended help, your the voice is awesome but help live with the mso is iconic

Nothing like the kids in America
Hmmmm......
I can't see the similarities to the kids in America song at all, guess we are all different or hear music differently
I’ll subscribe to your channel only if you do more Farnsey reactions. Plus wouldn’t mind a bit of jimmy Barnes
That's what I do....we have a narrow field of vision don't we....
😁
Ok, but the h in Farrnham is silent, if you ask John.
Maybe Jimmy Barnes is a close second
👏👏👏👏👏👏😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
So over all the over reactions.
😱😖 Oh No please don't play kids of America in the middle of Johnny Oof
😂😂😂
You are saving his name wrong it's not Farn ham you don't say h
Don't pronounce the H in FARNHAM
