If I am using an eSim card and turn on airplane mode, will it pick up my home network or the eSim network when I turn airplane mode off? I am cruising around Japan and always put my phone in airplane mode while I am on the ship. But in port/land I would like to use my phone. ESim's are the most cost effective. So I am curious about turning it off and on.
Airplane mode just shuts off your connection/signal transmission technologies. It wouldn't pick up your home network or anything. If you want to switch to your home network, there are different settings to switch to your preferred network.
