Good news bud, I finally got everything done on my '03 Impala and have started back working on finishing restoring my '81 Silverado. I found a great deal on a set of used doors which included everything except the inner door panels, I'll use the old ones. Now working on locating a decent used tailgate, the one thing that I'm buying new is the 2" cowl hood.

I waited for my first OBS for 11 years back in 2012 ( Then girlfriend totalled it) and also waited 6 years for my second (currently) OBS. It was worth the wait.

Seen a quick look at the blue square body named the PBR truck. Talked to the owner of this truck on the Power Tour a couple years ago, Interesting.....

It took me 20 years to find a good K30 SRW Crew cab within my budget. I ended up getting an R20 a little over a year ago with intentions on 4WD conversion. Not a month later I found the K30 I was looking for and bought it. After driving and owning the R20, and K30 I have fallen in love with the R20, and don’t really even want the K30. Lol. I think I’m going to sell the K30 to fund my R20 build.

Old video, but would you by chance knw if he is running a spacers on the rear? Just got my 22x11 wrapped in 285 35 22. And they don't clear hits the inner tub. I was under the impression they fit. Don't want to run spacers. 🤦🏾♂️

These are likely 255/35/22 and 295/30/22. I recommend 305/40/22 or 315/35/22 on a 22x11
I have a 1984 chevy c30 with a siezed up engine and no transmission. 0-60 is unknown cause you can only roll it down a hill and push it back up again so many times

@@ericedlin5861 yeah the truck has frame damage from a flatbed and the roof has rust from it supporting a spare tire on the roof. It was a farm truck
I have a 72 that I would like to show everyone. But I don't know how. Got a great story behind it. Could someone please let me know how to do it? Not a computer guy
40 year old paint job would have been faded and discoloring... especially with the type of paint they used back then... not as durable as bc/cc .... not to mention.. back then they were putting paint directly over bare metal on some of those trucks/or their parts... the reason why you see rust through alot.. that truck has been repainted at some point I assure you
No disrespect paint looks cheap and the door looks off something ain't Right on that white obs!

Squarebody's arent really a hot rod anyways.. Squarebody's have a style and class all their own, doesnt matter long or short...
I don't understand the obsession with lowered trucks🤷. I'm not saying to lift it, but why take that beautiful all original truck and hack out all the original suspension and turn it into a low rider? That's not how it looked originally! And I am going to argue that truck IS NOT ALL ORIGINAL, with all those low rider parts and American racing big rims and lowrider tires on it.
Please don't call a truck all original that's not. It WAS all original till that guy got it. Chopped the suspension out, hacked the original bumper mounts and painted and tweaked stuff.
That said it is a cool beautiful truck.
Thanks for checking it out. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My truck is just exactly the way I want it and my name is on the title so I’m not really worried about what anyone else thinks. Have an awesome day and I hope you build your truck exactly the way you like it.
@@bkb5 I get it. You want it that way. I'm more bothered by it being labeled an "all original" truck. Which it no longer is. Cool truck.
And yes I would have kept it stock ride height of it were mine. You are correct do as you wish. Some people think I was crazy for taking my Silverado trim off my k10 and getting rid of the tailgate band and the bed rails. I didn't like them, looked cheap to me and it's my truck, like you I did what I wanted to it.

Suspension was not "hacked", it was replaced piece by piece with lowering parts. Bumper mounts have not been touched and no part of the truck has been repainted???? Thanks!
@@ericedlin5861 @5:58 "we did a little paint and detail on it....." He was talking about the under of the truck at that point as they were showing it...so it's not exactly clear if he was talking about painting underneath like frame or what.
And by hacked suspension I was referring to it not being stock. I personally like the look of a stock truck. I don't like to feel like I'm sliding down the road or dragging my ass around with me. Some do, the guy who owns this truck does, and it's his truck, he made it like he wanted it. I will say it's a sharp truck. If it were mine it would just be sitting at stock height is all .
