    Because of you, I can not program drums any other way, it just makes so much sense. I don't understand why nobody ever thought of that before. Thank you so much!!!

    Well, Surdo means "deaf" in portuguese, and I think they deliver quite well. Now, if you don't mind, I will go buy some hearing aids.

      Lol in spanish surdo sounds like zurdo which means lefty, so all this time I thought it was called like that because you’d use it with the left hand or something. The word for deaf is instead sordo in spanish

    Intuition seems to be playing dynamics with velocity, not up and down the keyboard... as is evidenced by Mr Holkenborg's slamming the keys when he's playing the upper notes... and lightly touching the keys at the lower end. This is the way Tom likes to work, which is fine, but why not offer both options? Seems easy enough if they're just one shots. I like to have a single drum on a couple keys because it makes playing accents much easier... a lot easier than trying to jump 6 octaves for the loud hit when I'm playing 16ths down lower on the keyboard. Plus then I could have all these drums available as an ensemble across a few octaves. Haven't purchased yet, so maybe it already has all of this.... just not seeing it in this vid.

      I'm with you. Whe I first saw his layout a few years ago, I thought it was brilliant. Now I can't stand it and makes this a library I never use. Trying to force myself to explore it more today though

      i would do each one for two keys one by one, and with vel layers. HIs idea is very good, but radical. The playability is a huge problem with percussion in general

    From 6:04-6:48, everything that Tom says about there being dynamic layer versions of these instruments for drummers is a Complete Lie! In Reality are there only 16 instruments in a single “performance patch” when there’s a total of 59 instruments in the library excluding the “performance patch”??! This is outrageous!!

      @@hmkhann I’m being serious, so I’m curious why you think what I’m saying is false or “rofl” worthy… have you bought the library and looked into this yourself?

    • @kablah19
      @kablah19 3 роки тому +1

      @@hmkhann I think you’re completely missing the point of what I said.. what my point was that he says that each of these instruments have a “drummer friendly” version with the dynamic layers mapped to velocity instead of midi notes and that he’s wrong about there being “drummer friendly” versions of all the different instruments.
