    Even in these older videos, you can see that Krevassi style developing and blossoming like a beautiful flower. That amazing and unique bait painting style that is wonderfully your own and looks INCREDIBLE. I hope one day to be able to have a Jen Kravassi original in my lure collection. My God Jen-- please keep doing what you're doing and making these lures. You really are amazing. One of my fave UA-cam creators for sure-- SO inspiring and I learn so much. You're such a huge talent.

    Would love to see a pop max video or at least a tutorial on clear coating a pop max blank. I want to paint some but am stumped on a good clear coat process. Loved this video and the gold copper mix you used.

    I was an airbrush artist for years,used createx alot.To clean my brushes out,I never bought their cleaner,I just used windex,it's cheaper and does the same thing.Hope this helps you out.

    I just had a thought. For the splatter pattern. I wonder if it would work to saturate a q tip in a bit of paint. And just use the airbrush dry to shoot blasts of air onto the q tip to splatter paint on the bait.

    Enjoy your videos - they have helped me improve my painting. I do have a couple of questions: when you add a different color paint to your airbrush without cleaning it, doesn't the paint blend into a different color than what you originally planned? Also, have you done a video that would show how you fix the errors, dings, splatters, etc. that show up occasionally (at least for me). Thanks.

    • @Jekyll424
      @Jekyll424  5 років тому

      I haven’t done a specific video on correcting mistakes, but there are several videos that touch on that and how you fix them during the process. I can add the topic in to my list of to dos for you 🙂
      Regarding the paint, I add in paint once the chamber bottom is empty. Generally anything left over in stuck on the sides. You’ll notice I press that trigger down a couple times off to the side (or on scrap paper) to make sure the previous color is gone. I also usually work from light colors to darker colors on a lure, so that any transition is less obvious. Also makes for a better blend when you’re doing a fade on a bait (like pearl white belly up to moss green top, as an example) 🙂
      Hope that helps explain it

    Hi Jen. I noticed You don't reduce that createx paint? What size is your needle/nozzle? I have the Iwata hp/cs (.35mm) and I find I have to thin the paint a good bit. Any tips? It would save a lot of time if I didn't have to reduce them.

    Love your videos! I learn so much by listening to your procedures! One really simple question, the bottle you use for you airbrush cleaner. Instead of using the large 32 oz bottle. Where did you get it or did you repurpose a bottle from something else? I am currently using the big bottle and would like to be able to have a smaller bottle such as yours. Thank you for your videos and the guidance. You are AWESOME

    • @Jekyll424

      Thin them with reducer and mix them with airbrush colors. I use them, but they dry and crack on their own. They won’t shoot without reducing them. I use them as additives to stretch how far my normal paints last

    • @Jekyll424
      @Jekyll424  5 років тому

      Luis, from my understanding, ComArt and Testors are both excellent. Wicked and Createx are great value and good. As long as you understand the thickness of each one, you can understand how to spray it

      I use an 8 gallon California Air Tool compressor that’s normally off camera view. If space is a consideration then for right around $100, the best bang for your buck is definitely this small model. Very quiet compared to other compressors

    One more thing I just finished my first batch of eight lure made from balsa about half actually worked but I made on large bait and the first time I did any serious fishing with it I bounced it off some rocks and it cracked like an egg the whole lure has hairline cracks end to end KBS Coatings 8304 DiamondFinish Clear what did I do wrong?

    • @Jekyll424
      @Jekyll424  6 років тому

      I’m not sure. I’m not a balsa painter, any of you that are are welcome to give feedback here. I think many of them clearcoat and seal, then prime and seal then pattern paint and seal. Wood is super absorbent, but it could be other stuff as well... like how the holes were drilled for eyelets, ect...
