My first Gator game was when Emmit had his huge day against New Mexico. My Iast was Georgia. I cannot believe that it has been over 20 years since I have been to a game. I left for the Air Force and served this great country. Wanna talk about sacrifice? I couldn't see my team in person. I miss the po pregame fanfare so much. I'm retired now, living in Tennessee and only get to see them when they come to Vandy. My kids are old enough now to handle the noise. I won't miss 2020!! Go Gators.
I've been going since I was a baby. The best game I've ever been to was when we beat Ole Miss this past year. One of the greatest experiences in my life.

I’m not just saying this because I’m an FSU fan but, this doesn’t intimidate the opposite team at all. FSU is way more intimidating! Real energy there!
This hurts to watch. I get I'm a UT fan so I am a little biased, but come on Florida... Y'all have traditionally one of the better football teams in the country, but y'all gotta fix your pregame. I went to a game last season when we played y'all, and the stadium is awful. Fans are not energized, not loud, and overall disappointing. I was going in expecting to be so annoyed at all the gator fans going crazy, but I left feeling sorry for y'all. I'll at least leave with some positivity, as much as it pains me to say it, y'all have a catchy and enjoyable fight song.
Hi Ben, I pretty much agree with everything that you said. I would venture to say that the lackluster atmosphere is now the norm with most schools, not just at UF. I had season tickets during the Spurrier years (90’s), so I experienced college football games before cell phones and social media and the distractions they bring. The atmosphere in The Swamp is a reflection of modern times.
The crowd is different depending on how big the game is too. As TN hasn’t been very much of an opponent the last 15 years, the game lost its luster. Come down for an ALA, or LSU, or other big game. It’s more what you’re expecting. Hopefully that changes now that TN is back!
