15:56 One of my guinea pigs Daisy had hard calluses on all of her feet, and they gave me medicine to treat for a fungal infection, but it turns out it wasn’t. The doc suggested that I give her more bell peppers because she could be lacking in certain vitamins like a vitamin a so I regularly gave her bell peppers and all different colors, and I also applied gorgeous Guinea’s perfect paws ointment on her feet weekly, and it cleared up in a week or two.
Welcome to the world of rescue. Thank you for joining!!! Sounds like my recent rescue. Constant breeding, no break between giving birth and being pregnant. Two 1 day old babys died the day before the rescue, 3rd baby died a week later. One mumma died a week and a half later even tho on critti care etc. Now awaiting the birth of two other girls. The mumma that lost her babys is probably pregnant. Busy building up their health to hopefully mummas and babys survive. NO MORE BREEDING.
Ahhh I rescued a herd too! Only 4, but it’s been so gratifying seeing them thrive together. I only got 2 at first and they were so sad… then the rescue offered me their 2 sisters. Once I brought them home and put them with their sisters, it was like the party started. They’ve been such a happy little family. Pigs are happiest with friends
i thoroughly enjoyed watching this whole video. guinea pigs have such vibrant little personalities! i also love that they're named after Schitt's Creek characters. They are such lucky little piggies to find their way to you.
I just adopted my first pig from Petco, and he was super social. He lives alone since he has beat up every single pig he was housed with :( . Adoption is definitely better when it comes to pigs. Bucklin was $20, and he came with a large cage, and some other essentials.
You are so down to earth and an amazing pig momma ! Love your videos ! Not many people have such a great personality and the perspective you do ! As always thank you for such great videos and just you being you !
My childhood guinea pig once latched onto my moms thenar webspace (skin between index finger and thumb) and held on for dear life. He was a sassy boy to say the least.
love seeing how well cared for your piggies are. I have 3 girls that came in pretty rough shape and your vids give me hope that there ARE good owners out there.
It is so lovely to see your piggies have a wonderful life with you, they all look so content and happy! I love your channel and I look forward to learning about your other pigs, did you have piggies before this gorgeous group?
Can I ask you a question if I get a Guinea pig do I get 2 because I thought Guinea pigs get lonely and how big should the cage be I really want a Guinea pig so I wanted to know and you’re Guinea pigs are so cute 🥰
My Guinea pig Ossie knows how to flip over one of her carrot tent thing (idk what it’s called) and she looks like she has been bitten from her ears. And she dose the kick thing to. And my brothers Guinea pig is a food vacuum!
I took my Abyssinian to an emergency exotic vet. She had a URI on a holiday. The lady told me that she was spicy. I asked if she nibbled her. She did. Piglet doesn’t bite but she gives you a warning when you do something she doesn’t like. She is now my spicy piggie. Why people breed piggies when there are so many in shelters and rescues. I would like to see pet stores use their space to feature adoptable piggies from the rescues and shelters.
David's toe issue looks like it could be fungal. Try applying anti-fungal cream to his feet twice a day for the next 3 weeks and see if there is any improvement. Jock itch/ ringworm/ athletes foot ointments sold for people will work. Tolnaftate, miconazole, and clotrimazole are all anti-fungal active ingredients and it shouldn't matter which one you choose. Be super generous with the cream :)
None of my piggies roes have curled in but they do have a toe nail that is growing in towards the pad of the foot. I think this is caused by the bad breeder we purchased them from, it hasnt caused any problems yet but i'm sure it will with age. Love your videos!!! XX
Have you xrayed Davids toe? I'm a vet nurse and it looks similar to something a dog had a while back in work and we had to remove the toe because it was damaging the bone
I understand this, about dominant pigs. When my boar eventually passes away, I worry about my girls. I think Tiger would become the pack leader, no if we tried to introduce another boar, she wouldn’t like it at all. :/
Hi! Love your videos❤️ And I have recently got two new piggies (both girls) who just turned 1 this December. I also have a older lad that I’ve had since march(I believe) I am not sure of his age but I love him so much and would love for him to be a dad. Would this be a bad idea?
Hi thank you! I do not recommend breeding. If your females are already a year old and have gone through their first heat cycle (which they have) pregnancy can kill your female. It’s not advised. Please seek your vet for medical advice. Please google and research why your shouldn’t breed guinea pigs.
That is true. I only touched on one point that most people don’t think about. Iv stated many times breeding is unhealthy All around. We are on the same page.🐹✌🏼
I'd give David's little foot some coconut oil. This is what I pulled from google: "Guinea Pig Uses and Benefits Fungal infections - VCO Coconut Oil has anti-fungal properties AND it is very soothing when applied AND it is not toxic to your guinea pig." I use the brand: happy belly. I ordered mine off of Amazon. Basically your looking for unrefined organic coconut oil. This one I've personally used for my cats irritated under belly skin infection. Safe on skin and safe for them to consume. Hope this helps ☺
Thank you so much for mentioning that it's better to rescue/adopt rather than breed more. There are already so many guinea pigs that need homes.
11:30 backround music fits him hahahh
Alexis is a big girl. 😂 So pretty. David probably loved his previous job. Such beautiful piggies living the life. ❤️

Merry Christmas to your family and herd.
Looking forward to watching in the NY.

My childhood guinea pig once latched onto my moms thenar webspace (skin between index finger and thumb) and held on for dear life. He was a sassy boy to say the least.
It's hilarious how all the pigs completely embody their character namesakes.
love seeing how well cared for your piggies are. I have 3 girls that came in pretty rough shape and your vids give me hope that there ARE good owners out there.
So glad you did this video. I loved hearing about all of their backgrounds.
I miss you guys so much

❤❤ Love your videos❤❤so cute pigs❤
about the toe, Have you tried given him a salt water bath enough to soak the paws?

Two of my three piggies have nails like that
David has fungal feet which is super common for Guinea pigs. Any althletes foot cream will take care of it. Good luck.
Thank you! Many others responded with the same info. I started him immediately on anti fungal cream. Appreciate you!!!!🤍🤍🤍
bless you ♥️😇🙏🏻
💓💓💓
Could you do a diy guineapig toys video? Or a video wich vedgies you should and should not feed them?
Have you xrayed Davids toe? I'm a vet nurse and it looks similar to something a dog had a while back in work and we had to remove the toe because it was damaging the bone
❤❤❤ Hi! Happy holidays.
🤶🏻❤️✌🏼
Does David have blue and brown eyes?!?!

Could Moira be diabetic? Animals can be, but guinea pigs I'm not sure about.
She is not. When we tested her urine for sugar there was none present. 🤍
My girls are rescues from a pet store too ❤
My piggies don't like the sticks. It's so weird how picky they are.
the link to your amazon list isn't working. I would love to see what you use for your piggies
It happened to my Guinea pig It will go away

Females have to give birth during their first cycle in order to have a healthy pregnancy.

David could have bumble foot are you Iranian
This is what happened with Mochi and matcha 😭 4 pigs one cage not ready for a pregnant momma but me and my friends gonna fix that ❤️❤️❤️

💕
Hi Alexis😍😍😍
Im 8 months to late but soak his foot in peroxide for a minute or so ! No im late ok❤❤❤❤
I have 2 gunnie pigs if you want them there both male and I will give it to you for 150 for everything like the food and the cage
How many piggies do you have now?
I'd give David's little foot some coconut oil. This is what I pulled from google:
