This advice seems to be actually helpful I'm able to remember the information from the book/podcast and learn English at the same time. Thank you Artem!
liked bro, keep up the good work, I had decided to do something like this before I watched the video, but I wasn’t exactly sure how to apply it. After watching it, everything quickly fell into place.
Thank you bro! It is so awesome when you can capture your progress on the camera. That's why I recommend recording your speaking so you can see how much you've improved over time!
@@english-speaker-artem I started this journey today! I just recorded myself reading a book in English, I'll do it every day as long as I feel it! I also watch everything in English, listen to podcasts and all... You are super motivating!
I really enjoyed the video, but I still have an unresolved issue about speaking alone at home: how can you make sure that the things you are saying out loud make sense or are grammatically correct if no native speaker is correcting me in real-time? Or improving the accent and pronunciation to sound more like a native, or learning new vocabulary or idioms. That’s the only thing I still don’t get. Thanks for the video!
When you watch a podcast, you hear native speakers say the words and sentences. When you will summarize these podcasts recording yourself, you will have a little voice inside of your brain(literally) that will tell you how they said this and that sentence. It's a little more tricky with the book, but your brain will probably take the mental snapshot of all the words and sentences, so with practice you will be able to say most of them correctly.
Hi Artem! I'm wondering how you learn English by yourself. Did you understand material that you've been watching or reading? Can you please explain that for me? Good luck and break a leg!
I learned a little bit of English in school, then I just started watching movies, tv-shows and UA-cam in English. It was hard to understand at first. But then after a year or so, I started to understand content. Then I spend another year focusing on books. That's how I was able to improve my comprehension.
Thanks! I think we all have the same experience with learning English, starting this process in school. So, thanks again and have a great learning experience with English
i need a book that has all the requisite vocabularies, i often read books but the problem is that i came across old fashioned words and i don't really need to use them if nobody dose, so how can i find a book that has all the modern vocabularies?
Hi Artem. It's me again. I'd like to ask you what you can recommend for me to do with content? Do I need watch what I understand or what I like and the same thing with reading. And what about you, you've been watching material that was just interesting for you but not understandable. And how can I summarise podcast or book if I didn't understand or understood a little bit though? Thanks!
When you start reading, you need to go through the phase where you are trying new things and see what you like reading/watching the most. Of course you should consume content that is interesting to you. If you don't want to read history books, then don't read them. When you watch what is interesting to you, you understand content a lot better
@@english-speaker-artem Ok. It's great. So, I should watch and read every interesting content for me such as movies, books, videos? How'd you recommend I do summarise? And what do you think about method "Comprehensible input"?
@@Fact_know_01 yes, watch everything you enjoy watching. To summarize, just talk about what you found the most interesting in the content that you watch. (Basically ask yourself when you summarize: What was the most interesting thing for me from that video, book etc?)
@@Fact_know_01 I don't really care about comprehensible input. Input does have to be comprehensible, but FIRST it has to be what you like watching. If you do comprehensible input for the sake of it, it is not engaging. Meaning: you kinda like the video, you understand it, but you're just passively consuming it, without doing anything. I used to watch stuff in English for 10 hours a day. Now I spend less than an hour, but I take notes, I try to learn and implement the information from the video. That actually improves my English even faster.

It will be easy when you live in the country that English is the primary language like America. 1. Summarize a book
2. Speak about the podcast

You can read Mindful Self-discipline by Giovanni Dienstmann, Subtle Art of not Giving a F by Mark Manson or The War of Art by Stephen Pressfield
