I'm an Iranian and I love Turkey guys please cut out the racist talks , Iranians Turks Arabs Kurds we all share parts of our culture we are the children of the middle east, our foods our music and many many things are similar to one another how can you hate on other cultures when they share so much in common with you
I've never been to turkey but I've always heard that their cuisine is heavenly especially that Am from middleeast so I know they excatly mean. I must travel there one day inshallah
nice but except for few, like borek and dalma, kofte and small mezes, this is mostly the continental and eastern anatolian turkey's food. in the eagean/mediterreanean part and in istanbul the foods are much different. i haven't seen a snapshot of the sea foods, the olive oiled vegetable dishes, or the deserts of the western turkey.
We Turks know all about food, Turkish cuisine is the best in the world #1 !!!! after that I like Japanese food. it is also sophisticated just like Turkish food
That bulgur pilav tastes even better with a dollop of plain youghurt on the top, try it, you won't be disappointed! From one Bulgur-pilav lover to other lovers of Turkish cuisine...
Good one mate! Back in my youth time, most of my confused western fellows used to flick into the Encyclopedia Britannica's history- geography pages to gain some knowledge in respect hence the ignorant youngsters of today would not bother to google the wikipedia and learn some useful lessons that will enable them to understand that the letter A is A and it can not be Z :-)
we Arabs also don't ride camels and we don't all wear burkas nor white Arab clothes....yes we have similarities no wonder they colonized for 500 years!!! Don't be racist!
Just to inform you, An Arabic country must have the Arabic language as it's official language and share common Arabic culture and history. Not all Arabic are "Muslims". There are 22 Arabic country, some has beautiful beaches and places. There is nothing wrong in saying how good your country is, but it is not necessary to give false information about another r country. Turkey is a beautiful place for vacations and I respect its people, as well as other countries and it's people.
@utkua just because the turks and arabs originally are completely different ethnicities, doesn't mean that after thousands of years of intermingling with eachother there has been no mixing in neither dna nor culture...
You said they arent related, they are related now, because of their mix-up. Thats how simple it is. Your argument is only valid if you talk about the periods before the Islamic conquest up to Afghanistan etc. that region. For example did you know that Tunisia is 25% Turkish (according to some sources).
By your logic, India's 20% is English then since their native language is English in some regions, cultural expansion is irrelevant, we are talking about citizens of current Turkey here. Also, Ottomans were sending settlers to places they conquered to have loyal subjects in the area, for fastening assimilation. That does not mean automatically everybody suddenly into Turks in the area we need to include them to the definition of Turks in Turkey.
Turks are Turks nor arab ok. We have tens of thousand years' traditions and history in the evolution. But turks also love kind people of course. Arab persian english whatever it is
Ali Akın Akça Which Turkey you talk about? The new turkey only have under 100 yrs name. If we talk about that land, any part of the earth can have million yrs of age. Yes there are many wars and historic events related in that land. From Persians to Arabs and most importantly Kurds, have influence on every aspect of todays Turkey. From language to food and traditions... I do like turkey and have many turkish friends whom agreed on this.
@Daski69 By the same logic French and Germans are related because they have shared border and christian culture ? So it is OK to make an French cuisine documentary starts with a German song ? Does not make sense does it ?
lol - obvious red herring is red herring. In case you don't know what that is, google "red herring logical fallacy." You are very good at it. Sadly, you are still wrong.
there is no instance of Arab migration to Turkey in the history, Arabs never invaded Turkey, if anything Hispanics actually far more Arab compared to Turks.
No offence but turkish food looks like modified ARabic food. The chef himself said that all arab countries left their mark on turkey. Without arabic food there would be no turkish food. Is there anything that is originally from turkey not influenced by any other countries?
Turkey gave election rights to women before many euroepan countries like France, as early as in 19th century, decriminalized homosexuality, while "democracy pioneers" like Brits were prosecuting them after 50 years from that. Lets compare to US, Turkey not approved a single execution since 80s, and completely abolished capital punishment at 2001 unlike US. Abortion is a right in Turkey , even prostitution is not a crime in fact regulated. Maybe you must take Turkey as a model instead of Arabs.
Citizens of Turkey you say, well we also have Arab Turks for that matter in Turkey. When you say related, even as Turks as a country we ARE related just BECAUSE of our history. It's pretty strange you try to turn the tide with lies to win the discussion.
Cut the shit guys I get your culture means a lot to you, but that is absolutely NO EXCUSE to be racist and sectarian at all. Look, why can't you all get along because nobody is the same
Türkish Food is not a copy. Turkey has a famous Food-Culture. They make everything home-made and unindustrial. Not like Greek!!! Greek copy türkish Foods!!!
habe nie was schlechtes über das türkische essen gesagt,,, ich habe nur gesagt, dass türkisches essen aus dem griechischen, byzantinischen und arabischen stammt.. das ist nun mal die wahrheit.
LOL - "renegade assasin...funded by US?" You must also believe alien conspiracy stories as well. The total turkish contribution in all those events is miniscule compared to events like the armenian genocide and ww1. Besides, how can you forget the recent turkish debacle of gulf war 2 (attempting to extort the US out of $billions, only to have the US realize they don't need your airstrips to bomb iraq into the stone age). Calling me a provocateur doesn't change the fact that it's true, lolol.
it's not pig, it's called pork.. and i love pork, yummy.. delicious meat you will never get to taste... hahahaha i see you aren't a man of honor insulting strangers mothers. i guess it is be a turkish thing to have no honour..

the british accent just ruined it as they are the reason turkey is so small in comparison to the Turkish Empire
Why an AU channel thinks that Turks are Arabs. They should do something about this
Well they did mix alot, soooo. The majority of Turks will have Arabic blood in them and vice versa.
True, they aren't technically related, though they both bomb people. OH SNAP.
