Are young Britons leaving en masse because of England's POOR living conditions?

- ‘They are treated so badly here in terms of really high tax rates and housing costs. They are looking at the other side and saying things are more attractive there.’
Co-founder of Intergenerational Foundation, Angus Hanton, says young Britons are ‘voting with their feet’ by choosing to to leave England for better lifestyle and pay abroad.

Hi, this may be random but did you enjoy your time at the Royal Marines and what would your advice be for a young man in his teens that is interested in this field? Thanks!
Can't blame anyone for leaving. Country has gone thanks to our government
When housing in Australia was cheap.
a very sad moment indeed.
@barryredhead5704 and now you have come full circle in Aus
This country has truly gone down the toilet. It's not worth the struggle anymore.
The UK is heading for rapid decline. Massively overpriced housing, declining public services, high taxes and decades of low skilled mass migration have destroyed the futures for young people so they’ll look elsewhere and be welcomed with open arms. As populations around the world now head for stagnation and population decline with low birth rates across most of the world, there are amazing opportunities for young people to leave and have much better standards of living and competition will rise among countries to attract the educated young. House prices will significantly fall in the UK over the medium to long term as the country struggles to retain young people and can’t attract educated immigrants and the economy implodes similar to Japan in the 90’s to today. Their booming stock and housing market crashed and never recovered, the population is now declining by 600,000 a year and more old age nappies are sold than baby ones. High house prices and taxes are heavily linked to steep declines in the population as people have fewer and fewer children.
All due to having the worst politicians in our history.
Every law they pass just makes the country worse.
With all due respect the news report was referring to immigrant doctors that came to the Uk because of the high payment. Those young EUROPEAN doctors will go somewhere else in EUROPE. Young British people will not be received with open arms since they're not Europeans.
The biggest problem is overpopulation of se England and too generous social programs at the same time too many uneducated immigrants .
It is in palliative care, its gone beyond heading for rapid decline. We are living through its dying days
Facts, I think a major factor accelerating Britain’s decline is London’s failure to get its economic output levels back to what they were before the financial crisis
My wife is a dental nurse, im a firefighter, we are leaving next year, all planed. Jobs lined up we both in our 30s. I have 2 little girls, got to get them out of uk. This country was wonderful in the past because we lived of the wealth created by other countries. We’ve reached the end of that road. The natives are too lazy to work. Too many of them are lazy and living off benefits. The chickens are coming home to roost.
You do realise that it's immigrants who do the jobs Britsh people don't want to do. And considering how many English people claim benefits immigrants leaving isn't what the majority of you should want. If they aren't around to work and pay taxes there's no benefits for you to claim so you can sit home all day watching Jeremy Kyle.
All the go getters are leaving and all the no hopers and takers arriving…what a disaster
It is like we have developed a system that is as socially disruptive as possible.
Skilled people are pulled in from poorer countries. Nurses are pulled in from Asia and Africa. We save on training costs, but these countries struggle to replace their trained staff. This helps the UK push British working class wages down to meet the minimum wage. Then our people higher up the economic tree, such as doctors, leave for places with better conditions.
Everybody loses.
The Narcissists in charge are hooked on their Ponzi scheme which will Smeg up the country

@@tzazosghost8256 point I'm making is someone who owns property cannot be considered poor, especially when it's property which had gone through the roof in value in recent years.
I would be gone if my kids were not here. The UK is shocking.
Mind you, Australia did turn into a tyranny very quickly during Covid
So, the pensioners that otherwise became millionaires should NOT get the pension they were forced to contribute to, because they were successful?
Tax payers will go but people who get benefits stay thats 👍
I hate what this country has become, I’m retiring soon and I’m off to Venezuela to live with my partner
Dont believe you, Venezuela? Hahahaha
Venezuela! You're kidding right? I sincerely hope so
I left England in 1979 and would never Go Back
You have totally destroyed England with the
Brixit 🦧
Overpriced goods, skyrocketing crime, overpriced rents, low wages, terrible weather, no real advantages and opportunities compared to many other countries, rampant substance abuse and alcohol consumption leading to horrible behavioral patterns and street violence, under financed Police, no control over illegal immigrants often committing crimes. What's not to like?
"Are young Britons leaving en masse because of England's POOR living conditions? "
Simple answer:- YES !! and I don't blame them !
We should be open to take some english over here in the Netherlands. Our country is one of the richest
Not for long the rot will set in all over the continent don’t think uk is unique
What brain drain?. Many of the arriving in boats are the future doctors and prime ministers of the UK
Not just youngster,s pensioner,s are treated with comtempt
Leaving in 18 weeks, can't wait
Me too. 😁👍
Leaving later this year.
where to?
The grass is always greener on the other side. It was way too greener when we migrated to UK. Time to leave the UK and finally start breathing.
UK has too many immigrants,,the cities are overcrowded polluted too many receiving benefits compared to those contributing, corruption in gvt is depressing, noticeably the evil effect of Russian money in London.
Truth is the cost of living everywhere else that is decent is also horrendous.
Grew up in Spain and moved back here during Covid. UK has gone to pot... I pay the same taxes as in the UK but get decent healthcare, schools, public events, clean and safe streets, Christian traditions and culture, happy neighbours. UK is depressing and a rip-off. People live for a 2 week holiday to Benidorm...
The gift just keeps on giving!
Id leave too if i was younger. Hear albania is a nice empty place
No because we’ve been invaded
Always blaming the immigrants? Do you know how economics work?
People always blame the politicians, but the politicians didn't come from another dimension, they come from british homes, british schools, british universities, british families, so perhaps the problem is with the british people! Because remember, your politicians represent your people, literally
IR35 fucked my business and the engineering industry. Been unemployed ever since, will be leaving soon.
House prices and rents in Australia and Canada are ferocious. You'll need a massive salary to afford to live there.
I left in July this year and absolutely loving my new life in Mediterranean.
It’s a global problem. The Irish government used to pay its doctors among the best salaries in the world. Now the Irish government’s HSE (rough equivalent of the NHS) has introduced a recruitment freeze, they are going to Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada.
we're a punitively taxed welfare state, and it's only going to get worse I'm afraid. My advice to young people is get out if you can!
Hoping they get better deals than this unpatriotic government gives.
I'm 23 (Uni grad) and going from pulling pints in a pub in London to a teaching tenure in Breckenridge, Colorado.
All of my mates are looking to move abroad as well.
Brits have been leaving in the 100s of thousands per year for ages!...
Most stupidest comment on the thread
Many pensioners live in high value houses, but they bought them
Years ago when working now they have to live on low pensions
It's a case of property rich but cash poor. This often shows up
When their property's come on the market & require thousands
Spent on them to update to modern standards
Sorry for laughing at you.
Pensioners aren’t living in millionaire household, pensioners are living in their houses that they bought and pay for that they own, due to the plan of what’s coming, their houses are suddenly worth a lot of money, if they sell our house they have to pay as much money to get another one
I support as many young talented Brits to leave while they can. Your life will be 100% better abroad. 🙏🙏
