I was a loser then but I'm a winner now,
I'd do it all again 'cause now I know how,
How everything in life comes down to this at last,
Survivin' and livin' determined not to give in,
And I'm still alive,
My life is rollin' on gently from day to day,
Memories will fade away,
Yes, I'm still alive
The agony is gone, and my mind is slowly wakin'
And my heart has ceased its achin',
I'm still alive,
I took so many blows, I cried a sea of tears
And only heaven knows, how I could stand the fears
I think of all the nights I lay alone and scared,
All shattered, and cryin' and thinkin' I was dyin'
But I'm still alive,
My life is rollin' on gently from day to day,
Memories will fade away,
Yes, I'm still alive
The agony is gone and my mind is slowly wakin',
And my heart has ceased its achin',
I'm still alive,
I'm still alive,
My life is rollin' on gently from day to day,
Memories will fade away,
Yes, I'm still alive
The agony is gone and my mind is slowly wakin',
And my heart has ceased its achin',
I'm still alive,
I'm still alive,
I'm still alive.
This melody has always touched me, Jim.
There just something about it. Probably Agnetha's voice. Love it.
Nicely done, Jim! I'm sure I am not alone in wishing they had officially released this; it is a great piece of music, and not a easy song to sing in the bridge. Agnetha's performance of it sounds so good...hehe...tho in my mind, one thing is missing. Frida. :--) I get that same feeling listening to each woman's solo work...LOL!! Individually, both are great -- together, I feel as if I am hearing what Heaven must sound like. Thanks for this -- this song needs more exposure.
thanks jim, this one caught me a little by surprise, but I guess I am just that much out of the loop. Keep it coming because I live for all that is ABBA. I need all that there is after the breakup. Luvya, Christian
