Cutting a flare shorts can be very tricky and some people draft theirs from a basic short but in this video i showed a straight forward approach to drafting/cutting a flare shorts.

Please you didn’t explain the calculations for the measurements you used
The 8 inches is 1/4 her total waist measurement. The added .5 inch towards the end is the added seam allowance. The measurements she's using will likely suit someone who's a size Medium/Large according to the standard us size chart. Hope this helps!

I love your video but as much as I want to Try,I don't really understand where the 8.5 inches came frm.weda you divided by 6.28 or 3.14 or just 4.please can you elaborate on that?because everyone is having an issue with that part ma'am.

You didn’t explain why you used 8.5 is it the waist measurement divided by 4 or what because I have watched the video over and over and and I still didn’t get that part
I marked 8.5" because it's from that point I was able to get the 1/4 of my waist and allowance to draft my crotch line.

I explained it in the video. I said I used 8.5 because of my waist and to accommodate the allowance needed for my crotch line.
