Wow I learned a lot from this lesson myself. Great lesson! Honored
Thank you Kirk! It means a lot to get your thumbs up on it! 🙏🎸
How cool that you've watched this video Kirk. Isn't YT amazing? Btw look up modesty in a dictionary and you wouldn't find a better definition of it than your comment. Kudos to you. Love your videos as well Kirk, thanks for making them.
Same for me.great l
Great work .
You da man Kirk!
I cannot thank you enough for the fretboard animations, this stuff takes alot of effort to do, and I think I can speak in the name of us all that we appreciate that stuff! much love from switzerland!
This is way too much for us from you, your work is priceless, i cant even begin to describe how thanksful we can be for this
Your contribution to the blues community is priceless, Gary. Thank you for all your effort.
Totally agree with you Mon ami
These are without doubt the best guitar lessons on UA-cam, thank you. In fact, I'd say these are the best tutorials of any kind of those I've seen on YT.
A student of history of blues....
Great musician, and humble personality.
Not only is he a great guitar player he's a great guy.
おはようございます。
これ、最高にカッコいい〜 カークフレッチャーは最高だようね。好きなギタリスト
しんみり一人で弾く。くぅ〜〜〜〜〜〜最高だよ。貴方はいい選択をいつもしてくれてる。ありがとう。
On of the best teacher on UA-cam. Thanks for the efforts you put in for us
Wow! Love this lesson and love Kirk’s playing. I discovered Kirk a few months ago on a video from Guthrie Trapp. Just love his style. Thank so much for your video. Your feet live animations are so great! I wish I could see those with everything new I’m learning. Your teaching and playing is very informative and easy to follow. Thank you!
Great video. Without a doubt, your fretboard animations are definitely the best guitar learning aid I've come across. I've seen others, but yours are the best. Sheet music and tablature are necessary learning tools as far as I'm concerned, but neither describe exactly what is happening on the fingerboard like these animations.
What I like about Kirk Fletcher's playing is that he was more of a pentatonic box player but it's evident he put in the work and added more to his arsenal
Kirk Fletcher... I like him... always a smiling face... 🎶
I, as i assume many other, often feel stuck in my blues playing. While watching this EXCELLENT run-through I was getting a few ads with the same-ol'-same-ol' promises of developing my playing without any pain/effort/hard-work etc. How ironic!
THIS run-through is smack-full of theory. Applied, but still theory. THIS run-through is full of useful techniques. THIS run-through is full of "moves" that I want to pick up, and I am sure it will be a lot of hard work. This is no get-it-without-effort crap. This is just very good teaching and study material.
I've watched a lot of the free YT stuff on guitar-playing. A lot. THIS and other run-throughs from Pow Music is what will occupy me for a good while - a few months at least. I've also watched through the Hendrix-in-Stockholm video and it seems jus as good!
THANK YOU!
Oh man! Kirk's playing is just so tasty! I hope you find this breakdown of some of his moves to be helpful, and then the lesson on how we can fit them in over a jazz blues progression, and how that differs from a standard 12 bar blues! Here's the chapters. Please let me know any videos you think I should break down next!

Your lessons always bring something awesome! I love Kirk Flecther’s playing. Thanks so much!
B.B. King blesses us right quick @13:25..
I've met Kirk before. He has a son the same age of mine. He told me he was influenced by Gospel and Robben Ford.
Thanks for keeping the blues alive!
This is Gold! Can you do one for Chris Cain?
This lesson worth gold
Stupendous, I'm always impressed by the sheer detail and care you evince in the presentation of these videos... if I have one request, please consider covering some of Julian Lage's playing. All the best.
gotta be the best fingerboard visualization i've ever seen, awesome playing too, obviously
Thanks great content!
What a difference a day makes
Great lesson. Thanks !
Good teaching, as good explaining to the viewers as well in showing the licks and the ear training to find the right notes. Thank you🙏
The moving tabs make it so much easier learn, must be a lot of work get right. Thanks a lot, great video.
These tab animations are next level!! This is the best way to learn that I've seen so far. Can't thank you enough :)
Best production value. Unreal
The finger diagram is very helpful
YOG

What a good lesson! and I love Kirk Fletcher's playing.
Absolute gold! Keep it up man!
You sir are doing a fantastic job with the context!
Amazing lesson Gary thank you so much
Beautiful job of breaking down these riffs, and explaining the musical grammar... love it!
Thank you for spreading the word I just went to Kirk Fletcher's Channel and subscribed
Your vids are amazing, really cool lessons. Much appreciated!
Awesome
Excellent stuff as always 👌 I especially like how the note numbers vibrate with the vibrato, devils in the detail
Really grateful to have found your channel 👍🎸 best to you!
Fabulous Kirk , many thanks 🙏
Can we get Peter Green 'Jumping at Shadows lesson' please!
oooo, i loved this video. The graphics were so helpful. new sub here. thanks brother
What a great content producer! Thanks
This clever passing chord between F and G at 9:28 is not a truncated F#dim but an Ab7 (featuring only root #5 and seventh b5 on the diagram). Ab7 being the tritone substitution for D7 resolving into G. Very nicely done overall passage I-IV-VIb7-V
Whaou ! It's a fantastic lesson of Jazz / Blues ! This sequence of chords is gorgeous !
cant explain how helpful this was. im very visual when it comes to learning than just hearing. This one of the top channels I look up to! so glad I found you not that long ago. instantly subscribed !
These videos really help me understand guitar. Thank you
Great stuff, very thoughtful and helpful.
Thanks so much! Impressed indeed🥹
Amazing lesson.
M-mmm!!... love that maple neck Tele.
Yeah - with some subtle flame!
What a complete lesson man! thanks from Argentina
Are you kidding me, this so cool. Love it
One word fabulous.another thanks a lot
Incredible video 🤘🏼
Fantastic !
Really enjoyed the breakdown and visuals. You've earned a new subscriber!
Top class lesson. Mavelous!
More from Krik please!!!!!!!! Thanks for this, Gary.
That chord progression with the F7 has some bits of Brain Damsge in it(pink floyd)
Sheeeeesh! That's nice.
Top 5 best channel if not top 2 range. Thx
Thx you are the man!!
more Kirk Fletcher please!!!
Thanks man
Impressive video montage
thanx mate ,now i see
GRACIAS
This is very literally what I feel I'm missing in other lessons this will help me not have to do that math of what chord we are on in the progression and what degree of the scale did we just target or bend.
I've memorize the scales but for some reason hearing the teacher say. "A string 5th fret, to D string 7th fret" takes may brain to long to process for every not of an entire riff especially an entire solo or song.
This visual along with what chord this riff is intended to play over and what scale is current'y being used is way better.
very good
Cool!
try these strings "DR Strings Pure Blues Pure Nickel Wrap Round Core 9-42" they are a lot easier to bend then the normal electric guitar strings! I've never broken one
Sweet!
Ridiculously cool “active tab” technology. Did you create this yourself? It’s awesome.
As always topnotch!
Thanks!
thank you!!!!
I love this guys energy!!!! Been following him for a while! He’s always got a smile on his face! Such a great musician with so much heart and soul as you can hear.
Hey Gary, excellent video. How would you feel about doing a Cornell Dupree video? He was Kirks primary rhythm influence.
Vídeos ótimos
Amazing ! If I could ... I would give you two Likes.
Boa noite pow vc conseguiria nos mostrar os acordes de separate ways gary moore é um blues muito lindo e magico estou curtindo muito seus vides e aprendendo muito valeu 👍👍👍
How about a Josh Smith breakdown?
Great lesson and great discover, thank you for introducing Kirk!
Please check out Kid Ramos, a lesson about him would be amazing!!!
It is also called a G11 Chord
Very Tasty..
Now, I know him !!!! rs
Great work with these videos. Would love to see a lesson dissecting some Eric Gales. Is that a partscaster?
yes! I love parts casters :D The one in the video is a mexican fender body with loaded pickguard pulled from an American Professional strat (2 shawbuckers) and a warmoth neck with roasted maple, ebony and jumbo stainless frets
I'll give you all my money :D if you make solo tutorial of Rolling Stones' "Angie" Live At Roundhay Park, Leeds, 1982
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
7.01 It will put Fadd9 also ...but it's a detail!!lol
sorry if this was answered but if we are trying to play to a backing track what key would it be in? thanks
I tend to play the II chord with a major third. Maybe because I come from a bluegrass background where the II chord is typically a dominant. Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out and Don’t Advertise Your Man sound to my ears to have a major II chord
What are your thoughts on the II chord being major or ii minor in a jazz blues setting?
What color guitar is Kirk playing in this!?
Hes also the brother of the strongest man alive!
One thing I can’t get is the rhythm, what would be playing underneath all of this solo stuff? I get the chords and everything just not when he changes, any help appreciated!
How do you learn to play by ear I am having big issues doing this?
Try to learn little simple phrases just a little bit at a time and slow down the music using youtube's speed controller or a program like "Amazing Slow Downer" - try to hum the phrase and then try to find it on the fretboard. Experiment with different areas you might play it in to see what feels the best (since we can play any phrase in multiple places on the guitar.)
@@PowMusic thank you
I can listen to Kirk play and pretty much just play along. When I look at that weird diagram thing jumping around I just get crosseyed and lost.
The diagram helps when you learn what he’s playing by yourself and then what to see exactly what he’s doing if you’re stuck on a part. But yeah it’s a cool concept but can be a little confusing
