Hi. This is Tami. I played the Childlike Empress in this wonderful film. (Paper Canoe is my production company in NYC). I just wanted to say thank you to all the fans who are still so supportive of the NeverEnding Story. It's been a lot of fun to see the theme song get so popular again. Thanks Limahl for doing what you dream! And thanks HD Film Tributes for posting this. Next year... the 40th anniversary. Can't believe it.
OMG I didn't expect to see this comment but you were like my childhood idol
Hello Tami. I've always wondered, how do you deal with so many of the fans that this film was such a touchstone for? I'm sure you're just as surprised as I am that SO many people consider this their favorite of all time.
You were my first crush. There, I said it. I felt like I had to tell you after all these years.
Hi! The Neverending Story remains my favorite film of all time, its great to actually talk with someone from the cast. Thanks for great work you put into this film as the Childlike Empress.
Out of curiosity, what is your favorite moment from the movie?
I'm 49 and I still think about this movie often. What a wonderful childhood memory! Thank you for being a bright star in my lifelong memory.
This movie meant everything to me as a child. 1983 baby here, and watched it on VHS daily. It was escapism for me and I adored your character. Thank you ♥

My dad took my friends and I to see this movie in the theater for my birthday in 1984!

i am 50. still find back my childhood watching this movie....it never gets old, its neverending story.
I also just turned 50. We must have been in the sweet spot of the target audience because this movie really grabbed me. And I just wanted to kiss that empress.
Bastian was 10 in the movie. So 1984 minus 10 is 1974. 1974 = 50 in 2024. It all makes sense@@TimewornUncle
Same here. Ya got me by a few years. I'm 45, but looking back on the 80's they feel kind of like what I would call my "Wonder Years"...lol! Just an amazing time to have been growing up. The music, the movies, the entire atmosphere.
Was everything perfect?.... Not by a long shot. But I would not change growing up in that time period for anything... Aside from maybe wishing I'd been just a tiny bit older...lol! Maybe to have made it to Jr. High in the mid 80's. That would have been fun. Anyhow, I still love it all. And constantly come back to stuff like this for nostalgic purposes.
44, my friend still love watching these great movies. Will never see movies, music, and toys again like we did then

This movie doesn’t need a remake. It’s perfect 👌
Please stop giving them ideas!
That's not happening, is it?
@@T-800.. Relax. Ende hated the movie so much that his estate will not give permission for any other film. Apparently, Warner Bros. had made numerous offers and they were all declined.
If anyone tries to remake this masterpiece, I swear to Christ.
Its not really perfect though if you read the book because it adapts only half of it. In the other half, Bastian actually recreates Fantasia but is gradually corrupted by his power until Arteju helps him back on the right path... much more dark and thoughtful but left out in this Film, which is why Ende hated it.
I remember watching this movie and crying like a baby when Artax died. 80s generation had such great movies and music.

This just proves that movies don’t need insane new graphics to be successful. They need to tell a story that relates to the people, and gives the characters struggles and challenges to overcome, which so many modern movies neglect.

A beautiful movie with no violence, no sexual depravity, no war. I am glad I was born in 1965.
Technically it had a little violence since Atreyu stabbed Gmork but other than that you're completely right. I was only born in 2000 though lol.
Why would there be "sexual depravity" in a family movie?

Power Rangers Mystic Force
The first film I went to see on my own without adult supervision. I grew up in a small town Poland and most foreign films that were screened there had some time delay and this particular one was screened in maybe 1987 or 1988. Became absolutely obsessed and love it to this day. Definitely in my top 10 of all time ❤❤❤❤
I've just read the book. At 39 years old. How they took just this litlle part and turn it into this masterpiece? 😍
That movie made an impact on me... somewhere deep down in my soul something was left there, maybe a desire to dream for something big. Interestingly enough, I remember almost no scenes, but the song was deeply written into my brain.
I remember where shes shouting for bastian to call her name, it was too much for me as a kid I'd held my breath an went dizzy my mum had to catch me, oh but artax 😫
Me tooo
Read the book, this and Momo by Michael Ende leave good teachings
I remember everything and I also understand what you are saying
The bullies, the stormy weather, the school attic, Areyu, Falcor, the rock monsters, the Oracle, none of it? I haven't seen it in quite some time, but I remember most of it. It stuck in muh brain.
This is THE movie. It made a deep impact on so many kids. The feeling can't be described, only felt.

Yep. Back when movies were actually good.
I can describe it as trauma
I agree. I see it first in my aunt's place. Despite it only covers the first half of the book, it's an amazingly imaginative movie.
I am 47 now, lovely childhood memoties ,still love it ...❤❤❤
It's a very beautiful tale, I like to see this movie again from time to time.

Sipping Chai Tea: It's about time that people give this movie the apprecietion that it deserves. This movie has been underappreciated for too long.
It's mostly because of stranger things and people that feel nostalgic....
Nah it's just stranger things
Unfortunately..I wasn't alive those days to experience movies like these
