Absolutely gorgeous I love the art deco glad u kept the casters most people remove them I keep them on cuz easier to move the dresser ty 4sharing love it 🥰🥰🥰😇😇
You are correct. Doing that much work to a piece, to flip, is unbelievably rewarding but usually not much for profit. We have a tendency to gravitate towards these kind of jobs too.
I love all things Art Deco. This chest of drawers turned out great. I would have liked to see the Greek Key detail at the bottom of the dresser done in gold also. It gets lost.
Looks good. It would have been interesting to stain the wood darker on the places you painted black instead. However, the gold was a perfect art deco touch
All I can see is wow, great veneer detail on those drawer fronts. Looks like you're using the coal black paint. I love that stuff and I've done several pieces already using that plus allowing the Great veneer to shine through. Awesome Deco peace. 👍
Hi Kimberly! Unfortunately, the handles that were on this piece were not Art Deco. They were actually common kitchen cabinet handles, very popular in the 60s-80s, and can still be found in most hardware stores. So we suspect a switch was made at some point. If they had been Art Deco handles, then yes, those would be rare & we certainly wouldn't have replaced them! Thanks for watching :)
Amazing makeover! The end result is absolutely gorgeous...except, I wish you had done something to refurbish or replace the wheels on the bottom. As they are now, they detract from the beauty of this piece and spoil the whole effect. I do love the skyscraper. It's so unique. Thanks so much for sharing.
Aww, we like the new ones! The old ones were kitchen cabinet handles from the 60s and we were confused what they were doing on this piece haha. Our guess is someone switched them out at some point... Had they been art deco handles we would have kept them!
I just LOVE ART DECO, and this piece, after you all finished, is just STUNNING!!!!
Thank you so much! It was a lot of work but glad to know it paid off :)
Beautiful, beautiful!

That's great! We have a few more antiques & art deco pieces coming soon. They are some of our favorites pieces to work on. Thanks for watching :)

AMAZING COOL PEICE.

I love the piece. I would have kept the original handles. Those are rare and expensive to replace.

That was sexy AF
Sorry, but the new handles are 😵💫 - piece lost a lot of its historic value
