I grew up with Ms. Mouskouri! She’s the best the world can offer! And Ms. Leandros also very proud! They are both great!
I have been a fan of Nana for over 40 years and have had the privilege of meeting Nana several times after her Australian concerts in Adelaide, South Australia.
I became a fan of Vicky Leandros through this performance on Nana's television show. It is so disappointing that the recordings of Nana's television shows haven't been made available, I do hope that one day we will get to see them again.
Vicky unfortunately didn't become as famous as Nana in Australia and has performed far fewer songs in the english language, However I have managed to track down and purchase copies of all her english songs and many greek songs as well.
Both women are amazingly talented and beautiful with warm friendly personalities.
If you are willing please share a few of your favourite memories on growing up with Nana Mouskouri, we would all be so appreciative to learn a little more about her. I have read Nana's autobiography but am always interested in knowing more.

I had the joy of seeing Nana Mouskouri 3 times in Melbourne, but I havenever met her. I recall the first time I saw her in concert, there were people of all ages and many different backgrounds. I had never seen that before at a concert.

Ο στίχος λέει από τις πενιες του Θεοδωράκη κορίτσια !!! Όταν λογοκρίθηκε έγινε από τις πενιές του Μιχαλάκη (Μιχαήλ είναι το όνομα του Θεοδωρακη)
Ανδρέας Ζερβάκης οκ .τοτε ειναι το ιδιο.μη τα μαλωνεις τα κοριτσια.και το μικροτερο ειναι πιο ευαισθητο.
Πολύ ωραία η παρατήρηση σου Ανδρέα, δεν το ήξερα! Ο ήχος βέβαια ανεβοκατεβαίνει, αλλά και έτσι είναι δώρο !!

The song was written by manos loizos and lefteris Papadopoulos. But the greek dictactory of 1967-74 changed the lyrics. The authentic song doesnt say leventia(means the possibility who someone has to handle situations like a real man and inspires like a hero) but lefteria (freedom). Its very strange to watch someone dressed in black and red to sing a song not with the authentic lyrics.

I don't usually comment, but what a ridiculous thing to write - what have the Parthenon Marbles got to do with the content above? But as I am here... as for the Marbles being well looked after, they were damaged in the 1930s when attempts were made to clean them and the the area they are housed in has had some building issues in the last two years - do research before you comment - the Victorians did more damage to those masterpieces than 100 years of Athens traffic pollution would have ever done - FACTS!
