    I have seen more than 300 UA-cam videos about cakes but you’re the only one who explains everything as in everything about every steps you’re doing on your videos. Thank You too for being true and honest with your recipes as many here aren’t. They reveal only a half of it and we viewers end up with something very different than what it’s supposed to be. I love all your videos and a heartfelt THANK YOU for sharing🙏. Wishing you all the best on your UA-cam channel.

    What I love about your videos is that they look authentic... because you never pretend like everything comes out perfectly everytime. Its very encouraging for new bakers. Thanks Brit Lady :)

      Hopefully the flaws on my cakes will make it less frustrating for someone else when it happens to them, and give them ideas on how to fix it :-)

    Your tutorials and techniques are awesome. I usually bake pound cakes but wanted to learn how to decorate a layer cake. I’m not the best decorator or have the eye for decorating. I have been so timid about decorating a cake but your videos are so self explanatory with the do’s and don’t it makes a beginner learner feel at ease. Thank you for all your videos❤

    It’s so very admirable of you to show your mistakes. These are exactly the sorts of problems people run into on their first attempt at a recipe and feel totally deflated as they compare what they created with the tenth version made by the cooking show host. Seeing you too make mistakes is encouraging and illustrates how much effort you put in to resolve problems to spare us the aggravation. Thank you. By the way, these three cakes look amazing!

      Can you tell me a bit more about what kind of squiggled lines you're trying to make? And is a rounded top like a cake baked in a bowl and flipped over?

    All of ur tutorials are designed with butter cream, make with whipped cream too as we in Indian subcontinent use n like it more.

    • @ZIBAKERIZ
      @ZIBAKERIZ 4 роки тому +1

      Hi buttercream can solidify and hold it’s shape which allows us to create these designs unfortunately cream has a different property and won’t allow it to hold it’s shape and create these designs hope that helps! ☺️

    Because I am in Nigeria and when I put American buttercream in the fridge and bring it out, it sweats and drips out its colour

    Could you use parchment paper instead of acetate???

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  2 роки тому

      Yes! It's not as thick and sturdy as acetate so it will buckle more as you lift it and press it against the cake but it is definitely possible!

  • @dulangimadumalika5972

    Could I use wax paper if I don't have acetate?

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  3 роки тому

      Yes! It's a bit trickier because it's not as thick and strong as acetate so more likely to buckle when you lift it to wrap around the cake, but if you use a frosting smoother to scrape around the cake several times you'll be able to smooth it out

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  4 роки тому

      The acetate technique works with crusting buttercream because it sets and doesn't get damaged as you peel away the acetate
