Wow - this is great! It reminds of the sketches for Beethoven's 10th symphony 1st movement -are you aware of that? I myself are just working on an Overture on the basis of Beethoven's sketches from 1825 on the notes B-A-C-H - a most fascinating project :-)
Thanks for listening, Gerd! Yes, Barry Cooper's first movement of the 10th and the sketches have been a continual inspiration for me. I've also been closely watching your own work for a while now, and I hold it in very high regard. Excellent stuff!
Well, you really nailed Beethoven's style in every aspect up to the way he is taking orchestration as a means to develop form. Really great job! Congratulations! But please don't spend your time to write a whole symphony in Beethoven's style. You've already proven with this movement that you're able to compose that way. There is no need for more proof. Better take your time to develop your own voice. There is nothing you can improve or learn furthermore when you add three more movements to this one.
very beautiful! You forgot the part where the end doesn't end ;)
Very exciting music of yours and the fact that you are so inspired by the great work of LVB.
Fantastic!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Sehr schön und interessant.
