Its like a level 50 character commenting how a level 300 plays and thinks he understood the run 100% but didnt even realize there were very strict timed mechanics hat went over his head like in this run (cancelling level 2 charges and delaying level 3 charges bc he is counting staggers for trips)

Awesome video, do you think you could do one on Glavenus? I fought and beat him the other day for the first time with Hammer, but man he was kicking my ass. I'm trying learn how to use GS properly and would like to see how to take on such a large aggressive monster like Glavenus.

Great run. How did his roar not effect you when you aren't running earplugs? Is it because you were always positioned to his side? Also is there anyway to view how you have slotted your jewels, I decided to main GS through Iceborne and am trying to put a good selection of GS builds together. Yeah, contrary to his rage roar which cover large area, his attack roar have small hitbox.
Your timings on TCS are losing damage? Doesn't it lose power if you wait too long after the red flash? Or is that not a thing
I think by delaying it he can cause another stagger after the knocked over animation is finished. Example: 3:49
nope, there's approx like 2 seconds, you just need to release it before that.

I only use gs and every time I see these vids I wonna stop using it lol
I counted 5 tcs's hitting. And this is a speedrun, a very good one in my opinion. And still only 5 tcs's. I kinda think a crit draw build could maybe potentially do better. It deals less damage because the tcs is so good, but if its that hard to hit, the frontloaded damage could beat the established playstyle. I know that tcs greatsword has a higher damage output, but i still think the new old playstyle might be better in some matchups, especially while freestyling, were we non speedrunners hit even less tcs's.
Anyways, nice run. Brute looks annoying to fight though.

Why is only one area, the wing, being targeted? Is there a damage boost somewhere here?
HeartRushLov3 Flores Three reasons, one: different parts of monsters have different values, harder parts take less damage and can bounce attacks, two: the clutch claw attack weakens the area hit, it is more efficient to weaken one part and hit the single part than to have to weaken several different parts, three: damaging and breaking monster parts can reduce the monster’s mobility or, as seen here, cause a knockdown and immobilize the monster for 10 seconds.
how do i get him as an arena quest i killed him one time then i captured it and got the quest and since then i cant get him as an arena quest anymore

Aaron Huang it’s called master’s touch. You get it by having 3 pieces of Teostra armor (ideally head, arm and waist). What it does is every time you get a crit your sharpness won’t get used.
You like the dharma over the acidic glav? Or just got this fight since you need the extra sharpness?
I didn't have acidic yet in this.

I'm using the Nargacuga one with health regen at max, stability mantel and who needs to drink potions anymore? Plus I'm using the new moves, which if used in this run, the fight would have lasted less.. his poor arm ffs
@@Sasch94 are you referring to the slinger TCS? if yes and you meant it will be faster to get a TCS then you are wrong about 2 things. First, he is purposely cancelling some level 2 charges and delaying some level 3 charges in this run bc he wants to hit it just right after it comes back up from a trip to get another stagger (he is counting staggers for trips). Second, this is TA + claw rules. Slinger is not allowed.
