People in the deaf culture/community do not consider themselves as "impaired." Their hearing loss, they feel, isn't holding them back and is not an impairment. Please say either "deaf" or "hearing loss" or "hard of hearing" but NEVER "impaired."
So ironic that the CC for this video on hearing impaired player is not clear. UA-cam's autogenerated CC are a poor substitute for actual, correct CC. I expected better from a news channel like the ABC.

I only know one other deaf person that can speak and understand as well as he. Only a keen ear can hear that he's deaf.
