He touched my heart. I have a cousin who's deaf, and he just got 2 be at peace with it like 2yrs ago. But he's been deaf since '04 or '05. So hearing his story touched my heart.

Mr. Coleman is an amazing, inspirational man and I enjoyed your clip, however, I wish you would please stop using the term "hearing impaired." People in the deaf culture/community do not consider themselves as "impaired." Their hearing loss, they feel, isn't holding them back and is not an impairment. Please say either "deaf" or "hearing loss" or "hard of hearing" but NEVER "impaired."

    And he speaks perfect english.
I only know one other deaf person that can speak and understand as well as he. Only a keen ear can hear that he's deaf.

So ironic that the CC for this video on hearing impaired player is not clear. UA-cam's autogenerated CC are a poor substitute for actual, correct CC. I expected better from a news channel like the ABC.

Please do NOT use the term 'Hearing Impaired'. It is not appropriate. 'DEAF' is the appropriate term.
