So much going on for the seahawks, sherman rant, lynch not talking, coleman gets everyone rooting for him.. its just fitting for the seahawks to win their first superbowl.
I'm deaf as well and wear hearing aids. I think this is the most inspiring video I've seen and I believe that no matter how disable you are, you can still make it. Made my day.
I'm not crying, I just peeled an onion. WoW what a great story. I've ben undesided for who I'd want to win the Super Bowl this year. I wanted the Patriots but their not in it. DARN!!! I am going to root for Seattle thanks to this and for Denver beating out my Patriots. I also want the Seahawks cause I think they're the underdogs!!!
I love that there are famous players that haven't let money cloud judgement. I appreciate what you have done for these two girls Coleman. Good Karma will come your way! Also glad that you pulled off a tremendous win against the Broncos. You played a good game! :D
I wear a hearing aid and a big football fan. Coleman really is an inspiration to me, showing that even though you cant hear well doesn't mean you cant succeed. Glad the Hawks won :-)
Seattle is a class act, I live in Seattle, but no one can deny how classy the team is. For those who mention Sherman, go watch the clip on youtube of him mic'd up and he runs up to Crabtree and says "hell of a game, hell of a game" and extends his arm, and Crabtree pushes his face mask. The defense is vicious, they talk a lot...but they back up EVERY word of it...but off the field, the Seahawks are amazing in the community. Anyone who doesn't think Russell Wilson is as classy as any one can be...they are just bitter.
I am not a seahawks fan but after seeing Derrick Coleman prove that the only disability is the one you have front of you. I am fan of him. Good luck Derrick you conquered football can't wait to see what you do next. God speed.
Damn it, made me tear up a little. I'm not deaf, but my little brother is, so when I was kid I learned signed language so I could communicate with him, but there were also 4 or 5 deaf kids at my school, and I was one of the few kids there that could communicate with them, and was friends with all of them, one of them was my best friend from 3rd grade till 8th grade, lost contact with them after I moved.
I just can't let the last messages on this chain be so awful and examples of why we need more men like Coleman - he's a class act and make the world a better place.
There's also a high percentage of people who don't care what the loser below says about sports. Just do what makes you happy and don't listen to others who try to put people down for not thinking a certain way. I for one love sports and Derrick Coleman is my hero.
Brenda S Thank you so much for post what they conversated was about. I'm apprectice of your willing to written down. I think I am bad spelling two of words cannot be fixing. Forgiven me for bad spelling.
Coleman: "Being deaf is who I am, it made me who I am today." Reporter: "Coleman was featured in a recent Duracell ad that has been viewed over 12 million times online. He's inspired untold millions. Two of those people, Riley and Erin, 9 year-old twins, who are also hearing impaired." Twin: "First time I saw it, um, we were actually tearing a bit. He speaks for saying that anything can be done with a disability." Reporter: "So, they wrote him a letter." Twin: "Dear My Inspiration Derrick Coleman, I know how you feel, I also have hearing aids. Just try your best..." Reporter: "Their father posted it on Twitter and Coleman responded." Coleman: "Really was great hearing from a friend I have so much in common with. Even though we have hearing aids, we can still accomplish our goals and dreams." Reporter: "So we asked them if one day they could meat Derrick in person, what would they say to him?" Twin: "I would probably just run past the security guards, under their legs, speak fast, jump on top of him." Coleman: "How you guys doing?" Twin: "Good! Hi!" Coleman: "Got a smile, bright smile on your face now. You guys doing good?" Twin 2: "Oh my gosh, are you really?" Coleman: "It's me in the flesh, how you doing?" Twin 2: "Great!" *Gives Coleman a hug* Reporter: "Capturing this singular moment with a selfie." Coleman: "That good?" Twins: "Yes." Reporter: "But, he had one more surprise up his sleeve. He wanted to share the biggest game of his life with two of his most important friends." Coleman: "I got something for you guys. So on behalf of Duracell, we want to invite you guys to the Superbowl." Twin 2: "Really?" Coleman: "You and your family, you and your little brother, and your dad, your mom.I want you up at the tailgate in the Superbowl. Come watch us play." Twin 2: "Seriously?" Coleman: "Yes mam! You guys'd be down to go?" Twins: "Thank you so much!"
For as much as the Aaron Hernandez's and Ray Rice's of the NFL are shown to be complete monsters in the media (which they in all fairness probably are)... Still, you kind of wish that they'd show more stories like this.
He is NOT the "first deaf player in the NFL" ... he's the THIRD. Bonnie Sloan played in 1973 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Kenny Walker played for the Denver Broncos in 1991-92.
hey, derrick, I'm curious: do you plan on giving these two girls a picture each of your mugshot now that you fled the scene of a very violent and horrible accident that you caused, an unprovoked accident -- even -- and one that almost killed an innocent person? LoL! I was just wondering... :0)
I just want to say Congrats Seahawks and Coleman!! Coleman is inspiring millions of ppl like myself. BUT I still have a sad feeling that this is fake and set up by Duracell as their viral ad campaign. They do this awesome commercial, and these girls happen to like it and their dad twitters their letter and they fly over and get these tickets. Seems like a set up for positive PR stunt by Duracell. BUT good job Coleman and the those girls nonetheless.
Awww that 's sweet making those little girls dreams come true! Derrick Coleman is a great inspiration

I usually don't care about off-field stuff... but... feels...
Seattle is a class act, I live in Seattle, but no one can deny how classy the team is. Sherman is not classy
Derrick Coleman is a true Champion on and off the field. He is a true role model.
I love seeing cool things like this.

IDGAF if this is late but this was heart warming
I hate Seattle with a passion, but from Sherman to Wilson to Coleman, I'm starting to like them more and more. Go Seattle! Coming from a Chicago fan!
See there is proof out their dreams do come true.. GO HAWKS
OMG...So sweet!

I just can't let the last messages on this chain be so awful and examples of why we need more men like Coleman - he's a class act and make the world a better place.
Awesome!
That was too cute!

What sweet girls. That was beautiful. Xxx
Coleman is using a Samsung NX30 camera! Sweet!
Remarkable
I watched this again on mute so I could be more in touch with the deaf.
Now I don't feel so different just because I have hearing aids its not about my severe hearing Loss it's about I'm here today.
Nice bro.
Good vid
This guy is really making me want him to win the Super Bowl lol.
they did by 35!

Sweet Derrick
Derrick Coleman is AWESOME. With that being said, they goofed on the editing. The girl clearly has the tickets in her hand when they take the photo.
Cool!

The Shining twins.. Superbowl edition

Nice.
Luckyy

faith in humanity: restored!
The 12 people who thumbed this down are just pissed, because they didn't get tickets to go to the superbowl.
♥️🏈
He is NOT the "first deaf player in the NFL" ... he's the THIRD.
Bonnie Sloan played in 1973 with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kenny Walker played for the Denver Broncos in 1991-92.
The weird thing is when they take the pic the tickets are in their hands
"Are you really?" LOL!!!!!
mandatory commercials... lovely
Funny, they are wearing Sherman jerseys, lol
MALCOLM BUTLER ON THE GOALINE AND ITS INTERCEPTED
Coleman is a class act, but I still am gong with the Broncos. It's nothing personal against the hawks. I am a Peyton guy.
C'mon ABC, at least put them in Coleman jerseys
❤️ ❤️ ❤️🏈🎶🔝

Not even teenagers yet but loved big black men.
Bruh chill!!! LMAO!!
anyone else notice they were wearing Sherman's jerseys? Hahaha
Why are they wearing Sherman's number if they're a Coleman fan?
He doesn't have an nfl jersey they sell I think
He should.
