The reason this is news worthy is because the USA has a history of sun down towns and discrimination at public pools. Generations of black people were not alllowed in certain places so it was not likely that the children of those generations would be exsposed to these activities.
Exactly you all got some catching up to do! I've known black surfers since the mid-sixties. Those black surfers back then. were told by people in the black community that they were trying to be white and were oreos. The biggest barrier is to change the mindset amongst black people that they shouldn't be at the beach. Or that black people only do certain things. They don't do white people stuff. I think that's changing now though.
Surfing is definitely diverse. Polynesians, whites, latinos, africans, asians, middle eastern…unless if by “diverse” you really just mean american blacks.
Sorry to shock the world but yes there are black people who love the water, who love the outdoors and do everything you can do and more. So stop with these stereotypes and images in your head of black people it’s old and annoying.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!! 🖤🌊🖤

It's called get over it. People who live in the past will not have a future.
@@redfieldwong717 No, It is called history. People who forget about it are the first to repeat it.

I knew it. You don't want equality you want supremacy.

Good initiative! #BGS
White Girls Surf segment when?
Nah it would be racist if they bring that narrative😬
Double standards
Friday YT, when white people stop posting ignorant comments -hint, NEVER ! !
When we have a segment on those you mentioned who were banned from public swimming pools.
