I always liked the fact that Lady Elaine was a progressive, free spirit type whereas King Friday was so stodgy and unimaginative. She was a good foil for him.
In Mr Roger’s neighborhood there was/is room for people who are not “traditionally beautiful” there’s room for women to be more than sweet, polite and soft spoken… in his last episode he even brought up the possibility that Lady Elaine might hurt peoples’ feelings because she had been hurt by people making fun of her nose. You know, she could have boomeranged toomeranged soomeranged herself a new look, but she didn’t…I would not have been so brave! 😅

King Friday banned play in the Neighborhood after Bob Dog broke his leg. So Lady Elaine left the Neighborhood.
