Hey Billy. Fun fact: Diego got all winded in the beginning because the saber-toothed cats were built for sort distance chases and hunting large prey. So, it was a question of stamina. Saber-toothed cats were like the dwarves from Lord of the Rings, natural sprinters and dangerous from a short distance. This is also the reason the saber-toothed cats went extinct. It was a matter of specilization.
" I knew that guy when he was a caterpillar. You know, before he came out." It's so funny watching these movies again and understanding all the jokes that went over your head and a kid lol
Simon Pegg really nailed his performance as Buck the Weasel. Hilarious and insane, but still super capable. He's the mvp of this franchise and my favorite character.
Buck is the best character. Badass, hilarious, voiced by Simon Pegg, and I love the story of how Rudy took his eye and the Ahab vs Moby Dick style rivalry they have.
Of all the Ice Age sequels, this definitely is my favorite! Buck is an awesome character, the action is fun to watch, and Rudy is one terrifying dinosaur. I think everyone can agree that this felt like the intended finale of for the franchise, given how it had the biggest story you could do with the series without going over the top, and it had Ellie say “Welcome to the Ice Age”.
I'm in school for zoology so I'm an animal fanatic. Did you know that sloths were once extremely diverse? There were ground sloths that lived throughout the Americas; some of these sloths like Eremotherium could be more than 3 tons! Some sloths were burrowers like Glossotherium, and there were even semiaquatic sea sloths of the genus Thalassocnus!
That's really cool! I didn't know about burrowing sloths! I got to work with sloths before. They are actually really fast climbers! And fantastic swimmers. Another cool thing about sloths I learned is that when the three toed sloth females are ready to breed she will scream to attract the males.
Ice Age 3 has a special place in my heart. My little brother would act out scenes from this movie in the back of the van on road trips. He’d do the voices of the characters and everything! It was hilarious. Best scene he’d do was the laughing gas scene.
Animal fact: belugas make bubbles when they're bored, and biologist can know what emotions they're feeling depending on the tipe of bubbles they make. Crows are super inteligent, they can understand people and comunicate with other crows, if you're friendly to one it will tell the others and they'll aproach you without even knowing you, just from the information the other crow give them. Also if you give them food they will bring you trinkets and little gifts like flowers and shiny things
Since you asked, there are such things as "flying squirrels" but they don't actually fly, they glide, and can let the wind carry them to help better lol
Animal Fun Fact: The Nile Crocodile has the strongest recorded bite force of any animal on the planet. With a bite of 5000 lbs of pressure, enough to crush your skull in a second.
Fun Facts: koalas are naturally aggressive. Flamingos were not naturally pink they are pink from their diet. Tigers can eat 40 pounds in a single meal, then they can go up to a week with out eating if needed.
Fun Fact: It was discovered that saber-toothed tigers, because of their bulk, was built for short distance takedowns, they weren't built for long distance chase and that is why Diego got tired in the beginning. Also, yes, there are squirrels that can glide, they're called "Flying Squirrels" even though they can't fly, but glide.
Not so much because of their bulk, because Bears are bulky too, but have a significant amount of stamina, more than most predators. They can run at 25-28 mph for over 2 miles, which has been recorded. The hige Bears can run that fast for that long, but can still run for long periods as well.
Also, another animal fact: Dolphins will have scratch marks on their backs, and this is done by other dolphins scratching them with their teeth; this is how they establish their hierachy.
Animal fact for ya: Everyone talks about how awesome Penguins are because they mate for life, which is cute. But I recently watched a documentary and what I found more adorable, was theyre co-parenting skills. The dads are absolute HEROS! They bare the most cold months while mum is out getting food and avoiding prey. Pneguins are so amazing!
Yup the thing that makes them great parents can also make them a bad one because if their child dies, they will kidnap another penguin's baby and after a while they get bored and leave the baby to die...so yeah.😅
This is easily my favourite movie out of the franchise. It may be isn't as deep as the first or second one but the fact that manny gets a second chance at being a father really sticks with me, and the soundtrack is lowkey 🔥
I don’t blame Sid for feeling that way 😢 he was abandoned by his family that didn’t even love him and now all his friends were leaving him too(edit: Also can you imagine how much pain those Dino’s must have been in while dying, they laughed so hard that they lost all oxygen to their lungs and they suffocated to death)
I wouldn’t say the ice age franchise is a kids movie, it’s more of a family/comedy movie because there are some adult jokes in there little kids wouldn’t understand.
This is the number one movie my kids, husband, & I would watch for years! My husband & I would smoke up after they went to bed, or if they weren’t home, & watch this all the time! It’s my favorite movie to watch when smoking!

Yessssss billy let's go 😁😁😁 Fun fact snails have both male and female reproductive organs and after mating both snails become pregnant. And they also can shoot a solidified sperm dart into another snail 🐌
There's so much I love about this. This movie is nostalgic for me, and my dad, sister, and I reference the jokes all the time. I wish we got to see your reaction to some of them, though: - "What's that sound?" Buck: It's the wind. It's speaking to us. "What's it saying?" Buck: I don't know. I don't speak wind. - Manny: Um, when exactly did you lose your mind? Buck: Hm, three months ago. I woke up married to a pineapple. An UGLY pineapple. Oh, but I loved her. - And Manny mocking Buck by saying "What's rule number one?!"
I'm a theater major and a year ago a voice and movement class had us do an animal unit. I did a south African meerkat and found out that they eat scorpions! They pounce on them and tear off the stinger first before eating them shell and all lol. Hope that's an interesting fun animal fact
Animal fun fact: Did you know the Komodo dragon has saliva laced with venom produced by glands in the lower jaw. The venom mixes the lizard’s saliva so it flows into the wounds inflicted by the blade like teeth, it stops the victim’s blood from clotting, and may also trigger internal bleeding, so even if the animal manages to escape the initial attack, it soon collapses from blood loss and shock, making easy prey for the dragon following it’s trail. Sorry for the long comment.
I just love how you plan your videos uploads bc it's so much better to have all movies out in sequence than waiting in between videos to have the sequence. It just makes me so more excited to watch all of them.
Tasmanian tigers or wolfs: they have long mouths, stripes on their backs, the tale just as long as the backs and are stiff sometimes used as a third leg, 7 year long life span, and are also nocturnal.
This is my absolute favorite movie from the Ice Age series. I remember getting the DVD from Blockbuster and watching it like 3 times within 2 days. I still love it
You should watch the movie Two Brothers about the tigers. It's really well made and interesting. Cats, both big and small, are ambush predators and not made for the long distances like pray is. It's why cats sleep all day so they can save their energy for a burst while hunting.
Ankylosaurus could swing its tail with a force of 4800 Newtons per second. For reference, an average adult male human swinging a baseball bat is 13 Newtons per second... 4800 NPS is enough to liquify your insides, empty your bowels, and shatter every single bone in your upper body.
Wombats weaponize their butts! They have a lot of cartilage in their behinds, making it resistant to bites and scratches from predators. As a form of self defense, they will go face first into their burrow while their attacker goes for their butt. Then, the wombat will use their booty to crush the predator's head against the burrow wall!
You know when I was a kid I used to think dawn of the dinosaurs was the first sequel because I mostly watched the first two movies only at my grandmas house or at the pantry she visits it only took me years later to realize there was a sequel before dawn dinosaurs.
Sup Billy. Fun fact: Sperm whales can emit sound waves, strong enough to kill someone. The use them to hunt their prey by stunning it (They like giant squids).
Fun fact : The lumps and bumps on a crocodile's back are called ‘scutes’. The scutes manipulate the water directly around a crocodile, so that they leave no ripples on the surface as they swim underneath! So sneaky. Crocodiles can go through over 3,000 teeth in their lifetime! As soon as one falls out a new one starts growing in its place.
Walk the Dinosaur- the first time I heard that song was on the 1993 original Super Mario Brothers movie starring Bob Hoskins and our favorite sloth voice actor- John Leguizamo. The song was originally sang by Was Not Was
My favorite “fun” animal fact that its actually kind of sad: the adult mayfly has a very short lifespan. Once it becomes an adult, the mayfly loses its mouth, and their only purpose is to reproduce before they die. As adults they can live from 5 minutes to 1 or 2 days, depending species.
I'll drop a few animal fun facts! I've always been a huge animal nerd, so this is awesome! - First up: Moose. They are the biggest 'deer' in the world and are probably a lot bigger than you think (can be six feet tall at the shoulder) and can run faster than people in snow that would stop us in our tracks (without something in their way they can hit 35 miles per hour. They also swim! Really well in fact, they often eat aquatic plants and can even dive for them. They are in water often enough in some regions to be eaten by orcas. - Bears: There are soo many different kinds of bears, but the primary three you hear about and/or see are black bears, brown or grizzly bears (depending on region), and polar bears. A good rule of thumb here- black bears are pretty chill normally, they're the smallest of the three, and if you face one you can make some noise usually and scare it off. For a grizzly, some sources say to play dead, others say to try and fight back as aggressively as you can. This is situational for any bear attack and will depend on if they are attacking to hunt or defend. If it's a polar bear, you are pretty doomed, but you can strip off articles of clothing as you run away, they tend to stop and sniff. -Corvids: That's many different species, but I'll focus crows, ravens, and magpies. They are some of the smartest animals on earth, and have repeatedly proven their intelligence. Crows in particular remember faces throughout generations, conduct investigations around bodies to make sure any danger has passed, if fed often will start to bring gifts back in return (leading to some environmental efforts where crows are train to collect trash in return for treats), engage in playful behavior just because they can, and will even work together with wolves to find and hunt prey in exchange for a share of what the wolves kill. Ravens are very similar, and while being slightly different they share many of the same behaviors. They can also mimic human speech and sound! I'll be back with more facts at a later date
These films are a great message for kids on non-traditional/found families. Don't think I appreciated that as a kid myself, but probably absorbed to message subconsciously.
To answer your question about the squirrels, yes there are squirrels that glide like the female in this movie. They call them flying squirrels but basically they just glide between trees and are known as nocturnal gliders. I had a pair of sugar gliders for 9 years who can do that as well. The only difference between my gliders and these squirrels is that they were much smaller (about the size of a hamster or a chipmunk with long tails) and the females have a pouch.
Animal fun facts: There is a type of tarantula and frog symbiotic relationship where the tarantula will protect the frog from bigger predators and offer it shelter while the frog will protect the spiders eggs from ants and other predation and parasites. There is a type of oceanic flat worm that all have male appendages but they will have "sword fights" lets say because of youtube, but they literally fight with them, and whoever loses then has to carry the eggs that were fertilized. There is new research coming out saying that specific dinosaurs, such as raptors, actually had feathers and that the T-Rex might've been more of a scavenger than we originally thought. I have more, but I don't want to bore everybody.
Super good reaction. I like it a lot. And yes, there are some squirrels that can fly. Flying squirrels are common rodents in many parts of the country, but because they are nocturnal, few people ever see them. Two subspecies of northern flying squirrel are federally listed as endangered due to habitat loss. Humans have long sought to replicate the flying squirrel's gliding abilities.
Binturongs emit an odor that smells exactly like the buttered popcorn you get from the movie theater. It's not a vague scent either. You always knew when the binturongs had been out and about.
Koalas basically only eat eucalyptus, which has barely any nutrients. They have enough energy to basically find more and they sleep most of the day away. To the point that koalas in rescue centers are given milk to heal faster and it makes them high, they get addicted to having energy
Oh a fun fact about animals huh… Well, Female Dolphins and several species of Goats are the only known animals that have a “kitty” similar to that of a human. Dolphins are also one of the few animals that because of their intelligence, they do “encounters” for pleasure and not just reproduction like most other animals. Because of that detail about pleasure, Male Dolphins are known as the R@pists of the Sea to the point they would even suffocate another Dolphin because they forcefully stuck it in the blowhole.

I loved this movie as a kid, and I still love this movie today. Can’t wait for you to watch the rest of the series.❤🎉
Here’s a fun animal fact: male otters will hold their cub boat age to force to the female otter to share their food with them.
16:20 okay bet, did you know that sea bunnies are very very very very very toxic that you can't touch it 😌
Animal fun facts:
There is a type of tarantula and frog symbiotic relationship where the tarantula will protect the frog from bigger predators and offer it shelter while the frog will protect the spiders eggs from ants and other predation and parasites.
25:03 there is a squirrel known as a flying squirrel but it doesnt actually fly, they glide and jump far distances
i love your reactions always put a smile on my face when i feel down ♥

Super good reaction. I like it a lot. And yes, there are some squirrels that can fly.
Flying squirrels are common rodents in many parts of the country, but because they are nocturnal, few people ever see them. Two subspecies of northern flying squirrel are federally listed as endangered due to habitat loss. Humans have long sought to replicate the flying squirrel's gliding abilities.
Billy back to back!! Love your content. I watch from the beginning to the end!! (I’m also commenting for your algorithm) 😎
fun fact from an animal: the ocapi (search for pictures) is more related to a giraffe than to a zebra despite the patterns in its legs. :)
The term foxy, as related to women, came from the song foxey lady. By jimmy hendrix. Later changed to foxy lady.
Oh a fun fact about animals huh…
Well, Female Dolphins and several species of Goats are the only known animals that have a “kitty” similar to that of a human.
This was my favorite installment of the Ice Age cinematic universe. 😂 Buck is everything!
