I'm glad they killed off Maul in Rebels. They brought him back in Clone Wars so it seems somewhat fitting he go out in It's spinoff show.

I'd like to see.a.detective like obiwan movie or maybe its about the injustices he sees on tatooine and never tries to intervene, one day he does and it ends up putting his past identity and luke in danger. He teams up with owen and some miscellaneous shit happens.

My hopes for the Obi Wan Spin Off is Obi Wan meeting Qui Gon Jin for the first time of his life
The fan reception for Rogue One seemed more positive than mixed. Sure, it has some detractors, but overall seemed pretty well received.
James Robinson feel like force awakens and rogue one were both mixed. I think people like force awakens at first then started disliking it and the opposite happened with rogue one.
If you look at the audience ratings for both (TFA - 89%, RG1 - 87%), they are both still pretty high and haven't dropped much (i think a 1-2% drop for both). Even though the vocal minority may have increased, it's still pretty positive.

I think they could pull off a post sith obi wan i think most of the movie would be him going "insane " taking some from the eu comics where he has to watch as the lawless planet do its thing and they could do a maul showdown in 2 ways 1. Do the rebsls thing and it be the ultimate climax of the movie 2. A vision of maul that he fights (which i would hate more but it would need to be in the movie )

I'd love to see an Obi-Wan movie as he's my favourite character but I'm gonna be pissed off of Ewan doesn't reprise his role
I'd love to see a film about obi-wan dealing with the sudden and stark departure from the clone wars to tatooine, perhaps even dealing with some form of PTSD. It could show a restless obi-wan, struggling without an immediate purpose in life, no orders or objectives, just sun and desert.

Obi-Wan on Tatooine is about the only direct "spinoff" I'd like to see- if Disney wants to do more of these anthology stories I'd like it to be closer to the vein of Rogue One: new events and characters rather than origin stories. The one I dread the most is the rumored Yoda origin story, hoping that never becomes a thing!

As StarGeek said in the video, a character study with Ewan McGregor in the lead helmed by a good director could make for a very interesting film. Not an action movie like the conventional Star Wars movies have been, but I personally would love to see a new kind of Star Wars movie like that.
Simply because it's Ewan, I'm thinking of something along the lines of the movie Big Fish. It's one of my all-time favorite films, and shows that Ewan can handle a leading role in a character-based film with unusual story structure. I don't want to see some new adventure, but rather to see something that explores Obi-Wan as a character, as a "standalone" should.

For the Obi Wan film I feel as though Obi Wan will go to space and find out about Vader being Anakin and he will be forced to kill because people will find out his identity on Tatooine.

The Kenobi Book proves that you don't need to bring Darth Maul back to make a good story set in that timeline.
The only way imo to make the Kenobi film interesting is if they find a way to make him leave Tatooine for a while, like in the Last of the Jedi series. Also, has it been officially announced by Disney? Cause I have not seen any official statement yet
Does anyone know that the Star Wars movies are in reverse order from when the characters appear to how they behave? Also, the locations and consequences reverse order per episode. I'm sure Episode 8 will have the characters in reverse order where Luke appears early. The opening would take place on a spaceship since 7 opened on a planet. The final lightsaber duel will be a stalemate since it's the middle of the trilogy. Leia will return to the slave role since she wasn't one in Episode 7. This is why Darth Vader was late in Rogue One because he was early as Anakin in Episode 3 and as Darth Vader in Episode 4. Also, it opened on a planet since III and IV open on spaceships and ends on a spaceship since III and IV end on planets.
I realized this when Anakin arrived at 32 minutes of an indoor location in Episode 1 and I said to myself "Didn't Luke arrive at 16 minutes at an outdoor location in Episode 4?" 16X2= 32. Then I realized all the characters and scenarios were in reverse order which is why Jabba the Hut was in the directors cut of New Hope so he can arrive in Episode 1 and the creatures in the bleachers of the pod race are mostly the ones in the bars Obi-Wan and Luke go to in Episode 4. Darth Maul's death reverses Obi-Wan since he was killed by Darth Vader. I watched Episode 4 and realized I was right all along and the opening scene in Episode 1 reverses Episode 4. This is why Obi-Wan appears early in Episode 1 because he was late in 4. Vice versa with C-3PO.
The opening of Episode 4 starts with Storm Troopers blasting characters with guns leading to an explosion of black smoke in which the smoke contrasts the white interior of the spaceship and Darth Vader emerges from the smoke. C-3PO appears in the scene. Leia gives a message for help to Obi-Wan. Later, C-3PO and R2-D2 leave the spaceship. Episode 1 opens with four characters approaching the spaceship (including Obi-Wan) where a female version of C-3PO greets them. An explosion occurs where white smoke from another room emerges contrasting the dark interiors of the spaceship. The Jedi's emerge from the smoke and do battle with robots. Queen Amidala gives a message for help.
Then I watch Episode 5 to see if Lucas did this all along in the first trilogy and he did. The opening of Episode 5 takes place on planet Hoth instead of Darth Vader's spaceship. That's why I knew Han Solo would arrive early in 7 because he arrived early in 5, but late in 4 and 6. Notice we hear his voice before seeing his face in 5 and 7 which I predicted would happen before seeing Force Awakens. Obi-Wan appears early in Episode 5 and tells Luke to see Yoda instead of Leia needing to see Obi-Wan in the start of Episode 4. Yoda is a reverse of Obi-Wan since he's also a mentor to Luke, but Yoda's short, non-human and talks backwards. Obi-Wan is tall, human and talks forwards. The final lightsaber duel in Episode 5 is a stalemate since it's the middle of the trilogy. The end of 5 is inside a spaceship with the characters backs turned to the audience in tragedy. Episodes 4 and 6 open on Darth Vader's spaceship and ends on a planet in joy where the characters are facing the audience. I discovered all these character reversals on my own and there's many more.

Daniel Trankina Yeah that is true, but just to clear things up, I was joking, lol. Also maybe, for the Obi Wan movie, before becoming a hermit, obi wan must have done some kind of mission. They will probably make up something that happened in between ep 3 and the time that obi wan becomes a hermit.

Daniel Trankina, yes Ewan McGregor was great in the prequels. He was one of the best things about the prequels.

Speaking of recasting they are going to have to recast Luke. It will be near impossible not to have Luke anywhere in the story. And what are they going to do about Owen and Beru?
For Luke - any actor would work for him, really. It shouldn't be that hard to find a kid that could look vaguely like Mark Hamill.
For Owen and Beru - they can just use the same actors they used in the Prequels. Not ideal, but better than anything else.
I really don't want a clone wars movie. I watched every single episode of the clone wars and it's one of the best shows ever but I feel like they have done everything with the clone wars already and a movie would be forced (see why I did there 😉) so a movie between 3 and 4 would be perfect. And maybe even include the maul scene for people who don't watch the tv show

What are your thoughts on a spinoff movie for Boba Fett or Yoda? Or even a movie about the first Jedi?
Boba Fett has some potential because he's such an underdeveloped character - they can really take his story anywhere.
Yoda is a bit more complicated. Getting a young version of that character right would be incredibly difficult.
The only problem with the "first Jedi" concept for me is that I have barely any interest in ancient Star Wars lore - not to say that there aren't great stories to experience there.

Thanks a lots Rebels, you ruined the episode of Kenobi and maul and that would've been a great movie, but no you have to out in it for Despres for older fans and I thinks I know why Rebels series is a terrible show.
Second, we have more plenty ideas of Kenobi films like going missions either going planets to a planet for credits to survive on the desert planet, Obi Wan learns to recover from the after event of Revenge of the Sith, learn the forces of the ghost and as foreshadowing of obi wan's death, feuds with Owen during the between the timeline before the new hope, even the Jedi temple is gone obi wan can look for a secret temple for his trial of promoting a Jedi masters or fight other former Jedi who tries to attempts to kills Luke. those ideas may not favor of it, but at least is there to be a decent movie for obi wan.

I will never see a Star Wars Spin-Off. Even they are great, The Knights of Old Republic, Clone Wars, Rebels, Holiday Special, Rogue One, Solo, Kenobi or legends book, don't exist in Star Wars Universe for me.
