We have always concentrated on hand made gifts in our family. We were raised by a single mom that made our clothes a ND knit and crocheted for fun. We always got a pair of mittens, hat, and a matching scarf for Christmas. Crafting was encouraged. We could all knit, crochet, needlepoint, embroider, plastic canvas, etc. We learned the joy of creating, giving and receiving. One of the reasons I was drawn to your site and channel. Thank you for the pep talk and the inspiration list
8:14 I think you're absolutely right. I used to enjoy getting handmade, hand drawn "stuff" from my children. It really means so much more when time and effort is put into it, instead of always throwing money at everything
I had a random dream about you last night. You made a video in your living room and had brown carpet and a robot vacuum running around the floor. You had curtains. In your driveway was your vintage orange VW bug that was raised up with big tires and had huge exhaust pipes.
You did a nice job on the video. Sooooo many ideas. Earlier this year I tried to make a soft poly dog out of steel. There are so many parts and I never did finish it. I do have the paper model and so I decided to paper mache it. I am just about done. I will post a picture when I am done. It is always good to see you.
BUEN DIA HOLA ME ENCANTARON TODAS LAS IDEAS SON TODAS MUY HERMOSAS FELICITACIONES ERES MUY CREATIVA Y CON GRAN TALENTO E QUEDADO FASCINADA CON TODAS LAS IDEAS APRECIO MUCHO TU ARTE DIOS BENDIGA SIEMPRE TUS MANOS GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR TUS CONOCIMIENTOS CON NOSOTROS TE DESEO mUCHOS EXITOS Y MUCHAS BENDICIONES UN ABRAZO FUERTE
Ooh! You could turn that yarn bowl into a cat with adding a cat shape on the top of the opposite side of the bowl since where the yarn comes out looks like a tail 😁
Great video Jonni wonderful ideas, it is so true appreciating someone's gift that was handmade and them taking the time to make. The little man hanging on the wall do you have a video for him, I can't recall him. I am interested in these faces you make.
Hi Robyn. The little face was one of the sculptures I made for my "Fast Faces" book. I don't have a video showing how that one was made, but the entire book was inspired by this face: ua-cam.com/video/8LtGFtNLTO8/v-deo.html
Hey would you please consider making a Santa (full body) with shoulder joints so you can move the arms to dress him? I bought a dollar store santa (2.5 ft tall) and decided to make him better with new clothes and a painted head. He’s awesome but his terrible body is on my last nerve. I’m gonna take off the parts I don’t like and rebuild him so he has better arms and shoulders, man boobs and a cuter tummy…if all goes well I might even try hips and knees so he can sit down. I’ll get there but with your help, the trip will be much faster 🥰

My mom did things like that, too. She loved Christmas, and really made it special with all her handmade ornaments and gifts. Great memories. 😊
Your sweet gentle soul makes me miss my Grama.
😊
So cute . Wow to 14 years of adding projects. Amazing as always .
Thank you! 😊

That's kind of weird, but I like the VW bug idea. I've never owned one, but they sure were cute.

Great idea!! That would make a nice gift for someone who has cats and loves to knit or crochet. 😸
Your name and content is so beautiful!
