@20:37 just to give some tactics commentary - BB player knew they could plan around three scenarios here.
1) The opponent counters the 8k burgess, leaving opponent at 1 card in hand. This would mean they win next turn anyway.
2) The opponent has four 2k's in hand. If they top deck roger, it doesn't matter. BB can counter the leader swing, block the shanks swing, and then roger only takes you down to 0.
3) The opponent has three 2k's and a roger, which means he can only bring shanks up to 11k, not enough to counter the 11k BB swing.
In 2) if he drew rogers he win because rogers effect its when you or your opp is in 0 life
Most of the comments correcting his pronunciations is killing me💀
It kills me too, but at least it helps the algorithm
I feel like the strat is pressure Teach with 5k-6k swings. If you do over that hes gonna just take life religiously. That way late game, he cant activate his leader ability wothout being in danger.
It's crazy watching these matches how quickly you take it, it's a fine line you have to walk as Blackbeard

Most on piece names are very phonetic so if there's a vowel you're saying it. Roux is an expectation because its a french name.

@@atrocioustcg I would look up a no filler anime guide to OP as there a tremendous amount of filler in the anime that can be safely skipped. will save you a lot of time, and the quality of the filler episodes is poor so really not missing anything. water 7 is a great arc though.

So op09 Teach has only the activate:main effect because of the leaders floodgate effect, right? I don't think this is good game design, actually...
Floodgate is actually super common in card games & I think Blackbeard is very good design, seems cannon
@@atrocioustcg my point wasn't the foodgate part but the design to play around this floodgate when u actually have an On Play effect. In this case with power creep it could went like crazy as in Yugioh, and I wouldn't like it. This is a lose of consistency of the game and should be handled with care.
By this point you should just intentionally mispronounce everything and just have fun 😂

I am literally shocked that you cant spell out simple names, first thing about commentary is that you should know how to pronounce everything related to the subject you are commentating on. This is hard to listen to.
