24:51 Oh, they’re NOT sponsoring the episode? 😂 I fully expected that when Steven hinted at coming back to the topic of scanning earlier in the episode!
The way Steven described the advantages of the connection the rangefinder style allows with the subject is so well put. Been feeling that a lot moving from Fuji X-pro 2 to Sony A7IV.
So glad you connected with that! It's something I think about often when it comes to the photographic process. The ergonomics of all different camera types have their own sets of strengths/weaknesses, and understanding how to harness them in any given situation is a great skill to have. Thanks so much for watching! -Steven
So fun listening to what you guys have learned in shooting film. Medium format is incredible and I first learned that when I shot it as a kid in Jr. High.
It's one of the best things we've ever done in our creative careers! So cool that you first experimented with medium format as a kid. It's a truly eye-opening experience!
Re watching this because I want to shoot more film in 2025. I worked as an archival assistant for a project at UIC in 2012-2014. Lots of digitizing 35, 120, 4x5, and 8x10. I get the struggle with long scanning days.
What's your favorite film stock and film camera right now?!
Minolta XD11 because I have it, and Gold 200 because I can afford it :D
Mamiya 7ii and Portra 800
