The reason they told you to do not fasten the seatbelt because of the refuelling procedure, in the even of emergency we might need evacuate the aircraft, so that u get out faster. Hope this answer you😊
Nice video as always Hugo! I do have point out though, at 3:22 you mentioned that LOT Polish Airlines did not take up their remaining MAX order due to the pandemic. The real reason as to why is because of the MAX groundings following Ethiopian Airlines flight 302. Otherwise good job!
Another great trip report. But as usual the Sunshine Coast puts on its best weather for the event. Just in case you didn't know the first person you shook hands with wearing the hat when you got off the plane was the Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson.
Seatbelts have to be UNFASTENED while refuelling is underway when passengers are onboard. This is to ensure a quick evacuation should it arise. Once refuelling has been completed the seatbelt sign will be illuminated.

I suppose it could, it would certainly be a serious competitor for QF and VA. However this probably won’t happen for many reasons.

When refueling you keep seat belts undone in the event of fire and you need to get out. If your seatbelt is on it’s going to hamper you getting out
