The Dubai airport business class lounge is simply fantastic. Last time I was there I used the shower spa for an hour. Ate and drank for 4 hours prior to my return flight. Really helped melt the 5 hour layover away.
Last time I was in Dubai changing planes from London to Saigon, the flight was late and I had 30 mins to catch the next one. I'm 79 years young but not fit enough for the dash, luckily I'd booked the wheelchair service and two pushers were waiting for me at the gate. Off we went at full tilt more like the chariots of fire than the usual WC service. The pushers got me to the next flight just as they called boarding and I was first on the plane, sadly not a 380 that I'd just got off but a B777 complete with the horrible coffin type seats. So I missed the lounge at Dubai and to make matters worse my wife had a list of jobs for me when I got home. A word of advice Birmingham Airport is much better than Heathrow, the limo service driver is waiting at the exit to Wisk you away and on the return drops you right outside Emirates counter and even carries your luggage in, what a service. So if your travel plans do allow give Birmingham a try, but do check the price difference.

Time for Emirates to become our interline partner for premium staff travel! Perks of working for an airline when you can standby on 100s of airlines lol. But there are only 3 other airlines where we can do a business class standby outside BA. Not that those talks are going well... EK wouldn't want that lol.
I guess not many passengers are flying the 13 and a half hour daytime flight to Dubai because it's expensive or they prefer the 13 and a hour red eye flight to Dubai. I am curious, how much did you pay to fly Emirates?
I can imagine Emirates flying 100+ Boeing 747-200B (even more than Pan Am), Boeing 747SP, and McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 if they existed in the 1970s with the route network they have today, which, I know, sounds pretty ridiculous since Emirates was actually founded in 1985 with Airbus A300 and Boeing 737 from PIA. The Boeing 747 would have dominated the DXB-LHR sectors as well as flights to Australia. Emirates would have even fitted the upper deck (hump) of their early 747s with a retro lounge, offered the finest tobacco, Cuban cigars or even hookah (which is a bit of a stretch; and the Hookah pipes would have been too big, even for a 747) to First Class passengers 🤔. Anyway, the A380 is an awesome aircraft for long haul flights (which is an understatement given that we are talking about Emirates here), despite not being economical nowadays.
I don’t think it would ever have worked out as the demand back then just wasn’t there. People were working much more back then with less holidays. I’ve thought about it too though! Glad I never experienced sisha or hookahs on planes though, that would have been one smelly flight 🤣 Thanks for the nice trip of imagination!

Not sure if it will be the inaugural flight but I’ll try to be amongst the first to fly it for sure!

Alex hw about A Emirates economy review on DXB - MAA route ?
I’ve got MAA-AUH filmed on Etihad Business Class but not sure if I’ll post it as I didn’t really enjoy it.. We’ll see.
@@TheLayoverAviation oh that's disappointing
Sir your videos are amazing, what do you do for Living, and how can you Travel a Lot?
And when are you trying to fly the Emirates A350?
When it’s delivered!
❤My favourite airline
and amongst mine!
Bro have good education on how to keep the audience engaged in the video. The intro is an example I think so !
Thanks for the nice words!!
I Love Emirates0:18 🇮🇳🇦🇪❤
I’m flying on a 15 hour flight soon any tips?
Bring lots of water! And I also use lots of lip balm and moisturizer.
I love emirates it is the best affordable airline ever ❤.
I wish it was affordable! It can be from some places, but from Dubai it’s so expensive!
But oman air is an excellent and affordable airline.
Hardly affordable.

Bro, how long was your flight?
Love it.....be truthful is emirates that good..? ..😀😜
If I didn’t have this channel I would fly them way more often!
Wohhoo!! lets goo.....
❤️ ✈️
I guess not many passengers are flying the 13 and a half hour daytime flight to Dubai because it's expensive or they prefer the 13 and a hour red eye flight to Dubai. I am curious, how much did you pay to fly Emirates?
Price?
Quite a lot.. Flights to/from Australia are quite expensive, specially if direct. You can do an online search to get the average price..
Glad I never experienced sisha or hookahs on planes though, that would have been one smelly flight 🤣
Thanks for the nice trip of imagination!
I flew in a6-eut in march of last year
Where did you go?
@@TheLayoverAviation San Francisco
I’d love to do this flight but $20k is just too much for me right now
Flights from/to Australia are ridiculously expensive! But Aussies spend a lot on travel.
@@TheLayoverAviation I guess it makes sense, they live super far away from almost everything so the fuel cost will always be insane.
What do you work that you get to fly so much all over the world? 🙂
I do a lot.. But mostly in the hospitality business, events and promotions. Long story!
me watching an emirates trip report
gets a Qatar Airways advert before the video.
