This is how to program the 4.0 remote(black remote), the 6.0 remote(silver remote) and the 20.0/21.0_black and silver remote).

Thank you so much! The one thing that ALL the other videos and manuals never mentioned but YOU DID....was to make sure you were using new batteries. I had tried for over an hour with no luck and I had read every manual on the web. I finally searched UA-cam, changed by batteries as you suggested....worked the first time. You are awesome! This should definitely be in the instructions on the DISH manual! It would have saved me a lot of frustration. You are awesome!

I have an older 6.3 remote, and just received 21.1 remote. The 21.1 has a "system wizard" but nothing that tells you what it is for or how to use it. Also it has a side window on the left. I want to program the the Sat; TV; and VCR keys at the top to the 21.1 remote, but I have not found a video that shows step by step how to do it. Perhaps you can do a video that shows what the "Wizard" is for and how to use it; and how to transfer the codes from the 6.3 remote to the 21.1 remote.
Hey Lucky7, just changed my tv(vizio) no hopper, but the tv is saying no signal, but it was getting signal prior to change. What am I missing?

How do you program the remote for the VIP722k DVR
Hey lucky. The tech who came out to do the setup when I moved locked my remote in the SAT mode somehow. How do I unlock it so I can put remote in TV mode so I can change the channel on the tv. The remote I have is already programmed to the tv so I can use the volume & turn tv on & off. My problem is the tech LOCKED the remote in SAT mode.
I had bought a new one I tried this but it dint work but with the older one once you put satellite it doesn't do a thing and the process does work on the older but on the new one once the 4 lights flash the tv button one doesn't flash like yours

I want to set my proscan soundbar with my dish remote. Followed steps by dish and it isn't working. IF I choose Audio receiver I can find the name proscan but can't get it to work my soundbar. If I choose Audio Accessory doesn't have proscan listed? I just want to work my soundbar using my Dish remote instead of having to use 2. Dish remote 40.0
It's possible that the system does not have the code programmed into the receiver. With that being said, you can try and find codes for your sound bar and manually put them in instead of the receiver auto loading them. Just select the input code option instead of look up code. If you have your sound bar's remote, make sure that it still works to check if your sound bar's sensors are still working correctly. Also, make sure that when you test the volume and power buttons on the dish remote, that you press the AUX button at the top of the remote. Let me know if any of these work.

Yes, but only if you kept pressing the button after the tv turned off. In that case you would press in the opposite direction in order to turn it back on. In addition to this, some older tv's won't turn back on. In that case, after the tv has turned off, manually turn it back on, then go back in the opposite direction till it turns off again. EXAMPLE: Step 1, Pressing the channel up button till the tv turns off and pressed the channel up button 2 more times after the tv turns off. Step 2, manually turn the tv back on. Step 3, Press the channel down button SLOWLY until the tv turns off again. Step 4, press the # button to save.

No. The only remote that will work the the Hopper/Joey receivers is the 40.0 remote. The 32.0 remote will only work with the ViP922 receiver. Any 21.0 remote or lower version will work on any receiver ViP722k and lower version receiver. Though, the DVR function on a 21.0 remote will not work on a NoN-DVR receiver, as well as the 4.0 will not be able to preform DVR functions on a DVR receiver, since it does not have the buttons.

The tv does not have to be on a certain channel. Just make sure that you can turn on the tv, just to make sure that your tv still can turn on. Try some different batteries for your remote. The process wont work with older batteries.
why does my second tv only show what is on the first tv... and if I turn off the box the second tv wont work... the second tv used to be able to watch different shows than the first.
On the front of your box or behind the flip down panel is a button that says mode. There is also a yellow light that has 2 different functions. Make sure that the yellow light is underneath the picture of 2 boxes. If not, press the mode button. If that is not the problem. Make sure that your TV2 is on the correct channel. There is a channel for tv2 that mirrors your tv1

You can buy all the equipment yourself but, when you establish an account with dish, they will still charge you monthly for each active receiver. The only real benefit from having you own equipment is that you will not be obligated to enter a 24 month contract.

You'll have to do it just like we, the technicians do it. try all the numbers one bynone until you come across one that works. sorry. you can always try the power scan method as well. let me know if you need any more help.

hit tv 3 times then sat 2 times then pull batteries out, put batteries back in, put remote down, stick head in toilet bcuz this doesnt actually work bahahaha
