The other reason why it seems repetitive is because it happens with tons of shows throughout animation history. Every era of animation goes through styles that lots of other rival companies copy in a similar sense for example Hanna Barbera looking styles were a thing for a while, as well as He-Man looking shows. Soon someday kids will be saying the same thing about future styles saying they wish it was more like the Cal-Art style. It's just the cycle of art.

About 25 years ago I was at the Smithsonian air and space museum taking videos with the cam corder. When we got home and replayed it we could distinctly hear some kid in the background spouting out the lines from this episode of Beavis and Butthead.

Beavis and Butt-head is one of the only shows where I find it hard to explain why it's so funny. Scenes like this would normally seem like the most juvenile nonsense ever conceived. There's nothing all that funny or clever about the idea of a teenager pulling his shirt over his head and ranting about his bunghole in a weird fake accent. But on some primal level it manages to be the funniest shit ever. Maybe it's the fact that Beavis and Butt-head are seen as such obnoxious morons by their teachers and peers that nobody even reacts that strongly to Cornholio, no matter how unhinged he behaves.
MIke Judge explained that beavis and butt-head works because they always lose or never get away with their stupid antics. The audience isn't supposed to relate to them, the audience is supposed to relate to the people they interact with.
