I don't think this will ever really be fixed, and honestly, I don't think it necessarily needs to be. Its a farm that requires planning, effort, and experience to understand and execute. I think the nerfs were fair to make it require more investment to do, but destroying the whole thing isn't necessary. I also think that is Klei's position as well because all they really need to do is just put a cooldown to one tier 3 loot drop per day within a certain tile radius and that would kill it off completely.
@@crzyjerzy3710 You used to be able to drown the knights, so you would fight the rook and bishop on land, but a ton of knights on a boat and then just light something on fire on the boat and destroy it. Then you were supposed to be able to get the knights to not be able to come on land and just walk on the edge between the water and land when you put them on a boat and light gunpowder or use catapults. That might still be possible, but I couldn't get it to work. The current meta method is to put the bishop and rook on a set of boats next to each other and then fight them there while the knights are on land and light the gunpowder there. Obviously, you have to tank the rook since you don't really have the speed or space to dodge. Some people might be really good at it and can avoid the rook, but the two times I did it, the animation for jumping the boat took too long.
the single way to nerf it: Knights can walk through water and everything else and maybe immnue to gunpowder. Those farms are hard only in development and searching something strange, but if doing it step-by-step, they are so easy. This game isn't hard, if you play enought, i think. Kinda starving isn't main problem in game now, like it was many years ago. Fixing bugs and nerfing farms/abuses it's just motivation to find new ways and unlock new experience. I have some bugs on my mind, so maybe i show them on some days.
@@MolewormVoice-hu3ic Its not hard in the sense of Elden Ring, yes, but stuff like time management, resource gathering for the first time, stuff like that is hard. Sure, when you have farms set up, grab your meat from your spider farm, feed it to a bird, grab the nitre you gathered from a chest and such. But its a bit more time consuming the first time round and you have to balance the lack of certain resources, etc, etc. It basically comes down to it being difficult to manage all your goals between seasonal bosses, other creatures, getting certain resources, and doing specific events on a certain day in the lunar cycle. So its a lot of minimally difficult tasks combining into one bigger thing. As for nerfing it, yes, you are right. I meant it wasn't going to be fixed, not because it couldn't be fixed, but because they didn't want to fix it. They went through the effort of patching the drowning issue, so they could have patched the other things, but they were left in. And its stayed that way for a while. They are smart people, so its not like they didn't think that removing one or two small parts of a farm would magically kill it off entirely, they just wanted it to be a bit harder. And they wouldn't have an issue with one shotting bosses and then add an item that outputs a large amount of damage that makes it easy to one shot bosses with a bit of planning. They are ok with the farm, they just wanted to balance the cost to plan and execute it with the rewards.
