The red fuzzy stuff is reindeer moss, but I'm fairly sure that place represents his heart. When I got to see them for the first time in NYC, our friend from the UK had flown over to come with us. She made bracelets for our whole group that had TLYW beads and a white ribbon so we could all have the ribbons up front while he was singing this song 🥹 still have bracelet on my steering console.
When I saw them live at Wembly in December they had dancers on stage for some of the songs, dancing in the same style as this music video. Really brought a unique atmosphere.
I definitely think he is walking through his heart. The bows are on the girls wrists. Rather than hurt her he hurts himself then ties a bow to represent his heartbreak ❤️🩹. The red & blue coloring throughout as well all the red splatters here and there. ❤

The video for blood sport (from the room below) is incredible. Also his cover of Loathe's song"is it really you" is something you will likely love. For what it's worth, Loathe is a band you should check out as well.

He describes that feeling of having unresolved feelings and how it can hurt, but you can come to need to feel that pain. Vessel is a true artist
what I have always interpreted both the song and video to me is like he’s ready to try and move on from the love he feels for this person and he’s ready to face it but in the end he can’t actually accept the fact that he needs or wants to and he always lets his feelings and this person win, even if they’ve already left him behind. but at the same time i’ve been in and am currently in that exact same situation (it ended 2 years ago like girl come on 😭 lol) so in my brain that’s how it connects for me. also I second everyone who is saying react to bloodsport (from the room below) it left me in tears.
Of course, on May 27, 2024, at Massey Hall, the concert event, of my life elevated my love for ST to new levels. This concert also healed parts of me forever. Truly life-changing (not kidding). This track was one I was truly hoping ST would have played. It marks the middle of the trilogy in a smart cohesive way because Vessel seems to be marking off the number of times he has tried to let go and failed. From here, the rest of the discography descends into a new level of madness leading up to a choice of permanent misery...or departure from the torture of loving without reciprocation. ST has written the soundtrack to my love life. The buried hurts from past heartbreaks re-emerged from listening to ST and those pains had to be given flight. ST has saved one life, namely, mine. They allowed me to give myself permission to release all of my madness to the night for good. I am forever grateful to Vessel. Perfect reaction!
