I made a red crochet durag last year and hated it because of the extra flaps in the middle. But the way you did this with the increases are genius. So thank you. I’m actually making my daughter a yellow one now
I was finding it hard to follow this tutorial at first, I had to go watch another UA-cam video to recreate mine but I wasn't satisfied with the outcome. I came back to watch this particular tutorial again like twice before i could get it. All i can say is; well-done ma ; i really love this tutorial and i can't wait to recreate with this 🤭😘❤️
Both are pretty for me, it looks good on you !! Im gonna make one for my cousin gonna tag you so you can rate my work!! ❤❤ Overall its an awesome tutorial. My only wonder is how to propely wear or style it can you show a tutorial please 🙏🏻 ❤
Hello ma❤ I'm a big fan and a subscriber, i have a question. The crotchet hook i got, the thing they wrote on it is 2 not 5.5mm or anything, please what does it mean?
Hello, I think I know the hook you’re taking about. I’ll suggest you use a single strand of yarn when using that hook. I don’t know what size it translates to in mm, but I know it’s a small hook . Thank you for being here 💕
I don’t know why but I’m finding this hard to follow at least the part for increasing i think it’s because its not clearly visual and at a fast pace… even when i slow it down and zoom in its hard to see 😔
Hello, after you decide how long you want to make it, make a chain long enough (minus approximately 7 inches) the 7 -8“ will be added as you increase. You crochet the first mesh row without any increases then at the beginning of the second row you place an increase. The third row will have no increase, at the beginning of the 4th row you place an increase. Like I said in the video, you place increases at the beginning of every even number row till you split for the ties… and when you get to the ties, you’re only placing increases on that even rows. Hope this helps
@@Lat3az you only place increases on the same side of the durag. In the video, I only placed increases on the even row and that’s what creates the hood that goes on top of the head. If you place increases on different sides of the durag you’ll be increasing both sides. Hope this helps
Once you completed row 18 of the first panel please explain the instructions because they are not clear. Did you tie off to begin the strap or what did you do?
I can’t say how long it will take you, but however long, don’t get discouraged. It used to take me days to complete a simple bikini bottom but it takes me less than 2 hours to complete now. With practice you’ll get faster in no time. Thank you for being here 💕
I don’t have a blocking mat so I just sprayed it down with water stretched it and let it dry flat. You could also just wash it and let it air-dry. I hope this helps

Hello, I’m glad you found this video. Thank you for being here 💕
I just made one panel with the flaps in the middle and before I even cut the yarn I started looking for a non flap pattern
I’ve watch many tutorials but this one has been the best one
Thank you so much for being here!! 💕💕

❤❤❤❤❤
So the 2nd stitches of an even row you put just 1 increases?
Yes
What row do you do the decrease? Row 18 ? Or just increase every even row all the way through ?
I think i understand it now, after you finish increasing and making the tye , you flip the panel around and start increasing from the other side ?
No decreases, only increase on every even row like I said in the video

@@Hasanatadewole yeah my bad i mean all the way through on the even number rows .. then i flip the work after row 18/19 ?

For a beginner how long would it take them to make this ? I want to get into crocheting

Ma'am when making shrug, what if i want to make mixed colour like one color for the body and different color for the sleeves? Is it possible?
Yes, just attach the different color of yarn when you want to switch colors. You can also search “how to change yarn” on UA-cam. Hope this helps
Thanks so much ma'am 😘
Please can I use a size 1 hook to do this?
Hello, yes you can but I’ll advice to use a single strand of thin yarn.
@@Hasanatadewole okay… thank youuu
Let me start mine asap
How grams of wool dod you use pls
About 160 grams
What are measurements of panels? I am using different yarn
The yellow durag is 20 inches long and that blue is 26 inches long
What is the width of the panel before adding ties
It is 14.5 inches
Please ma'am which what do you use to block it
I don’t have a blocking mat so I just sprayed it down with water stretched it and let it dry flat. You could also just wash it and let it air-dry. I hope this helps
Hi
What’s the width of the full DuRag minus the tie part please
Hello, it is 14.5 inches
How much yarn did you end up using?
Almost 4 balls of 40g yarn
What size is the yellow 1?
I don’t know what you mean, if you’re asking for hook size I used a 5.0 mm hook
💜💜💜
These instructions are horrible
Is there something you don’t understand? That you’ll like me to help you with?
I wish it was some written instructions. I'm going to try and write it down
Yea I thought I was bugging
