It was. A DJ could play and no-one would care who it was. We danced for the joy of the music and for the joy and smiles of the people dancing next to us. I used to DJ and didn’t do it to have my name up in lights, because I loved the music so much and really wanted to hear my fav tunes played really loud and see people dancing to them! No ego allowed in those days.
What a time it was...when a sound can alter your psychical and mental state in such a euphoric,memorable way that 20 odd years later when heard again it brings you straight back to that happy and free feeling of old you are in a good place... even if its just for a second..... wow.
